We
stayed
at
the
end
of
May
-
it
was
very
quiet
and
we
were
able
to
camp
out
the
way
of
others.
The
views
are
stunning
-
gorgeous
meadows
full
of
wildlife
(we
saw
a
hare
hopping
along),
big
skies
(so
many
stars
on
a
clear
night)
and
rolling
hills
stretching
off
into
the
distance.
The
toilets/showers
were
very
very
good.
It's
a
great
location
to
visit
the
caves
and
the
castle.
The
bar
sells
very
good
beer
(craft
ale
and
lager
on
tap)
and
the
house
wine
was
also
very
nice.
The
food
was
good
and
generous
and
you
can
order
bread
and
croissants
for
the
next
morning.
There
are
some
swings
and
a
sandpit
to
occupy
the
children,
as
well
as
a
ginormous
play
house.
These
are
next
to
the
bar
so
you
can
relax
and
keep
and
eye
on
them
at
the
same
time.
There
are
also
chickens
and
horses
on
site
which
were
also
a
nice
attraction
for
the
children.
Hard
to
find
any
downsides
really.
If
you
opt
to
camp
in
the
grassier
areas
then
you
will
need
an
extension
cord
as
the
electricity
points
are
dotted
fairly
sparsely
about,
but
the
hard-standing
pitches
for
motor-homes
had
plenty
of
points
available.
It's
cash
only
as
well
but
there's
an
ATM
about
2
minutes
up
the
road.
You
can
put
everything
(drinks/food
included)
on
a
tab
and
settle
up
at
the
end.
You
can
hear
a
road
and
the
occasional
train
as
well
but
it's
fairly
unobtrusive.
Would
100%
visit
again.
