My favorite restaurant for lunch/dinner around campus. I love the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. If you don't know what you want, just ask them, they will suggest something that you will definitely like. They also have tea and water for free. The portion is big, and I sometimes have to ask for a box, which is awesome. The price is amazing, I think is very cheap for what you get. My recommendations are garlic eggplant, crispy tofu, and Orange chicken.

I regularly ate here during my 4 years at UIUC. The prices are very affordable and it tastes better than some of the more expensive Chinese food around campus. The portion size is very generous. I was sometimes able to order a lunch and split it with a friend or save it for dinner. The owner is incredibly polite. I’ve never had a single bad experience here. 5 years after graduation, I dedicated a trip back to Champaign just to eat here at this restaurant. I was not disappointed.

The place is always bustling but for good reason! I like the chrysanthemum tea 🍵 They were offering it complimentary during my visit and it was a nice touch! I ordered the general tso's chicken. It came with white rice and a broccoli garnish. It was more sweet than spicy and cooked firm but not too hard or too mushy - just right! I also had the egg drop soup which was cooked to perfection - not slimy and thick nor too thin! Again, just right! Hosts are always very pleasant and patient as you look over their extensive menu. Good portion sizes and prices are right, especially on a student budget!

Cheap food at a great price! Americanized but good tasting Chinese food. They also have some classics depending on what you order. If you are. A student on a tight budget, then definitely check this place out! In my opinion, much better than what you could get at a Chipotle or Qdoba!

Excellent Chinese restaurant with large portions and no-frills atmosphere. Complimentary tea is also served with your meal. Staff is friendly and service is quick. Great option for cheap and authentic food.

Great portions and prices. They have free hot tea for everyone. Quick service. My husband had this while attending UIUC, and now a decade later the experience was the same. Heart warming and the owner is very warm!

I've been coming here for around 10 years except for the time when covid first hit and during my time as a vegan and I've always found the owner and his family super polite. They always seem happy and to appreciate your business. They are able to help you make selections and are very open to customizing your order for spice levels or for some vegetables. However, I've become stuck on the fish masala. 😅 It's just too good. A nice little spice level, very lightly battered or breaded fish and green bell peppers, carrots and onions. All seasoned with a masala or curry like flavor. I highly recommend it and the restaurant. It's very affordable, always has complimentary tea and water and the portion size gives me two full meals.

This is a great little secret! This is a fun little family run business that caters to the customer. There is plenty of seeding in the little restaurant as well as amenities they have water and tea and ice water for those who have to wait for their to go orders or while they're eating inside. Their place is clean Their service is fast Portions: large They even have a Chinese menu as well as an American Chinese menu. They have lunch specials too! I have to say to date they have one of the best cashew chicken that I have had so far since moving here.

Decent restaurant with affordable price, large portion, fast service and cordial behavior. The appearance is modest at best, but I like all of their Masala items and hot and spicy chicken as well (the photo is of hot and spicy chicken). The complimentary tea is a plus. Masala fish is a great item too!

This is hands down the best small Chinese restaurant I've found in my life. I've only lived here about a year, and Ive had my go to spot, but I'm SO GLAD I tried Cravings tonight. The best Hot and Sour soup I've ever had, super authentic food, and the owners are really nice. I'll absolutely be back and bringing friends, lol.

Authentic chinese food that’s on campus. I ordered the yangzhou fried rice which was delicious. It’s cheaper if you pay in cash (I paid like 9.5 ish cash) and they have free cold water and hot tea. It’s pretty spacious and overall a great place Atmosphere wise, it’s definitely okay for a meal, but definitely not a place with good enough atmosphere to go on a date. Overall, really great place. I suggest coming here after a cbtf test (which is what I do)

I came here with high expectations. While the food looked good, it was not as pictured. I mean no hate and would say try it yourself; however, after 1 bite there is Bangkok Thai down the street to take you out of your misery. Plus, the dish pictured is the orange chicken, I ordered the general tso’s, extra spicy, exact same dish. I told them them this and that it was too sweet and they just told me to sit down. Bad customer service, bad food, would not wish this on my worst enemy.

The best Chinese food I’ve ever had! We’ve ordered taken out several times and every time we were more than satisfied with the service and food. Everything was delicious and fresh. Portions are huge, we always had something left for the next day. Highly recommend this place.

This is my go to spot for quick and delicious food on campus. It’s authentic and cost efficient. The owners are really nice and friendly. If you want to try authentic food, there’s a Chinese menu to order from. If you can’t read it, ask the owners for recommendations! They also have free tea that complements the food nicely.

Great food! Atmosphere is alright, but when the food is good you do not care about how the place looks. Family owned. Free hot tea. Owner gifted me a dish the last day of my stay in Champaign-Urbana.
