Up until last time I was there which was within last 2 days, I must say it was great but now I’m disappointed. My family went out to eat and everything was fine , however my husband had cake and upon eating half of it , he noticed mold in the bottom of the cake. When manager came up and asked what the problem was and we told him he said it’s not mold it’s chemicals ( I don’t know that he knew what to say) company that made the cake out in and left . My husband went and got couple more pieces of the sweet and came back tot he table. Same thing I smelled it and yes it was mold. On the way out I told manager that I smelled it too and he said “ no mold is white” I said ok I will call health inspection . While getting ready to pay another sweet lady manager was there and addressed an issue right away . I told her to pull the cake out so people don’t eat it and she did and she was going to call the company to see what happened. I presented pictures of it . If it looks like it, smells like it … it is a mold so don’t sit there and tell me it’s not because clearly it is mold. Please be careful eating there any sweets . I’m never going there again

Normal customer service. This is self serve all you can eat (ayce) hibachi grill. You have a lot of options. Really good for the price. They have a build your own fresh cooked meat bowls with or without noodles. They cook it fresh right there. They also offer Pho bowls. Beef broth is 3 out of 5 stars. I think it would help if they told you what combination work so that you have an opportunity to make a perfect bowl. And only experiment if you want. I made 2 bad bowls out of 3. All my fault of course. I really enjoyed the chocolate pudding. Also really enjoyed the sushi bar. Love that they use fresh Avacodo on the sushi rolls. Most buffets don’t. More highlights are: chocolate fountain, fresh fruit, plantains, shrimp and many more options.

For a buffet, this place was pretty good. The waiters were very attentive, more so than any other restaurant I've been to. The food was all hot and fresh. Most of it was very delicious, I'm giving 4 stars because some things could have used a little more flavor. Definitely tons of varieties tho and worth checking out.

My friends and I had a terrible experience. We went there to celebrate our friend’s birthday, we expected warm welcoming and good time. At the beginning, the staff offered drinks politely and we were happy. However, at the end the we’re looking at strangely and behaved in away to kick us out. We are extremely disappointed and didn’t expect such low level of customer service.

The sushi is delicious and there are many kinds, i like that the pho is also provided there with good taste. The food is delicious and the price is cheap $10.99 for lunch. We were stop by here for lunch before heading our road trip to Michigan, and We very satisfied.

Hubby wanted Pho and I wanted choices. Well played. He loved his soup and everything else. When we pulled in (in a larger truck), I was nervous about finding parking. 6pm on a Saturday night it was very busy. We are moving closer to DSM, so we might be able to come here more often . Hubby is very picky, so if he is happy, we good!

So much to choose from! If you can't find something you like, you aren't looking. I like that they have a nice variety of seafood every time. Offer some American staples. Sushi bar. Create your own stir fry. Chocolate fountain. Huge seating capacity. Around $15 per person for all you can eat.

For better or worse I grew up eating buffets at just about every stage in my life from small town stuff to Vegas and so on. This joint is an enormous building and buffet. The sushi offerings are probably some of the best I have seen from a Chinese buffet. They also obviously have a hibachi station, but this station also includes a Pho/Soup station. I ordered the wonton soup and was happy with what I got. The service was good and I never waited for anything or went up to the line and saw something to be out. We were there around 6 to 7 p.m. and they were busy, but definitely not the busiest I have seen this place. If you like Chinese Buffets I highly recommend. This place has good enough food on the buffet that I would also consider ordering takeout or to go.

Food was good. It was worth the 17 for all you can eat California rolls and sushi. They had lots of choices. My 5yr old liked the sushi and chicken. She also liked that they had pizza too. Lol . The only thing that was strange was this lady came out of nowhere sets the bill on the table and then hovered really close and uncomfortable. We went to go pay at the register. And she insisted we pay here at the seat. So I did. Then she brings back $20 in all 1's. So I had to count it to make sure it was there. I was going to leave a tip and the lady stared at me And wouldn't leave until I put $ on the bill tray after I had paid in full and gotten my change (normally I would just leave it on the table.. It's one thing to want tips but to stare people down for them and hover over people until they do it Is rude

Fantastic food and service. The food is always fresh. The wait staff does an excellent job serving customers. The buffet itself has scads of choices. Everything you could think of. The sushi bar and hibachi grill are also excellent. I highly recommend the Des Moines location.

Just your standard Chinese buffet. The food tasted somewhat basic and although it was fresh, it seemed lower in quality. Though they do have quit a bit of variety with Pho and Chinese noodle soups, the taste was not very authentic. The Mongolian grill, however, seemed fresh. Shrimp and beef stir-fry were tasty as well.

Impressive buffet! American/Chinese, Pho, Mongolian, Hibachi, and Sushi are all available! The food looked and tasted fresh! The staff is friendly and attentive! We paid $32 for two adults, including our tea! Well worth every penny!

While visiting Des Moines, Iowa for Veterans Day. Stop by Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet. The foods here did NOT disappoint. There were tons of selection to choose from. From seafoods like crawfish, soft shell crabs, shrimps and etc. lot of selection of chicken and beefs, good variety of veggies. Salad bars was pretty stack. A lot of choices for desserts to choose from but my favorite is probably be the chocolate fountain. The hibachi grill is ok. I think the chefs might have put too much sauce on my plate cause is was a little salty. There is also Cantonese noodle soup and Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup). For a buffet place, the Pho was pretty good and flavorful that is almost remind me of homemade Pho (I got two bowls 😆). This is one of the biggest buffet I have been too in the US (I been to 50 state so I know), plus there got 4 connected room so plenty of seating. When we enter even though there was a line, we were seated right away when we got to the counter. Our servers was fast to refill our drinks and pick up our plates. Price is also reasonable at $17 per person but that might just be weekend/holiday price. Overall very satisfied with the service we received at Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet. Will definitely stop by again when we in town.

After riding across Iowa on RAGBRAI, this place had plenty of fresh alternatives from the carnival food choices compared to the week before. But they also have plenty of comfort foods too! Lots of desserts and seafood choices. Reasonably priced!

When this placed first opened it was so good. Fresh food. Always tasty. We went at 5 pm and food was dry. Like some of it was out for a long time. Not all was bad. Total thumbs down on the ice cream tho.

Really the one reason I didn't give 5 stars is several of our plates had hard crusty food on them. The good part about that is, just check the plate at the buffet line before putting food on it. Other than that this place had a good selection for all 6 of us. Sushi bar, salad bar, small dessert bar etc. We even had a few vegan eaters with us and they left satisfied. The service was also good.

All the food were great! Taste perfect, I love the crawfish, fried donuts, fried plantains, and mussels. Service was good, they were super fast in cleaning our table. All the food was hot and refilled all the time.

We come here often. The kids love it, it's got something for everyone! The food is always fresh and replenished often. The staff is always nice and quick to keep or table cleaned up. It just seems the cleanliness of this place has been going down hill. The carpet is dirty and there's always a sticky mess on the buffet floor.

Really nice to see a fun buffet experience after the decline in them the pandemic caused. Tons of options to choose from; great appetizers, great desserts, and a pretty awesome grill. Very active and nice staff. They were constantly bringing refills and cleaning plates up despite how busy it was. Overall, I recommend Hibachi Grill if you are looking for a buffet experience!

I really like this place. Been coming here for years! A great variety of food also. I was there last night and just looking around. The place needs up dating. It looks the same as it did 8-10 yrs ago. It’s looking a bit beat up. Other than that it is a great place to eat!

The sushi is fresh, but the heated foods are only lukewarm. You can taste the leftovers from the night before if you get there for lunch the following day. They are quick to grab drinks while you go on a mission to the lukewarm buffet. Buffet is always crowded, restaurant needs to be more functional for customers. Restrooms smell and the marble floors are very slick outside of the restroom. Probably because they always seem to be out of paper towels. The atmosphere is very casual, but you take in this smell of vomit when entering the food and dining area. The smell is always here. My wife loves this place, and they do have a good selection, but it's all institution food. Pretty expensive meals lacking a modest supply of seafood.

It's okay. I'm trying to be more positive in my reviews because I don't want to seem grumpy all the time. The people were very nice. We didn't have to wait long for a table. Food was hot. The only thing I would complain about is that the area that we initially were supposed to sit in smelled like urine, I kid you not. I'm not sure if someone had an accident or what happened but they politely moved us to another area and there wasn't a smell there. Our waiter was very nice though and came back often to see if we needed refills or to make sure we had everything that we needed.

It was clean and so well organized. They rotated the food often. The staff was also great with checking in and clearing empty plates. We tipped more then usual since they were sweet and my toddler is a messy eater. 🥴 Great food to for it being a buffet!

I visited here because it says that you have the option to pick out your own plate and while that is true it is useless if the chef just uses the same knives and spatula even after letting them know that you have allergies. My idea was to eat a couple of plates because I was very hungry, but I was very disappointed and decided to just eat half a plate and go.

Good selection of food. Cheap lunche prices. Very friendly staff and great service. They offer plastic gloves for use with getting food.

Awesome food and a great place to eat. They offer lots of dishes and work hard to keep the food filled at all times. My preferred way to eat here is to get a container for take out, they charge fairly by weight allowing you to get a lot of food for a good price. They are always friendly and nice as well. If you eat inside the restaurant they also offer sushi and pho and hibachi so they have a lot of value and lots of different things to try!

Love this place! We came during the pandemic but it was the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. I would love to try it again next time we are in Iowa area. The sushi was actually real sushi. Great selections for American food also for the kids. Two thumbs up. 👍👍
