We love HuHot! We have never had a bad experience and today was no different. It wasn't too busy when we were there, they only needed 2 chefs at the grill. But, by the time we went for seconds, it was super busy. I'd never seen it this busy. There was a line of probably 20 people at the grill. These guys worked this lunch rush like a well oiled machine, I tell you what 🤣 I was very impressed. You can tell that they've all worked together for a little while, it was like art to watch! We will be back again! Thank you so much, HuHot!

hoooHot ....I put these juicy zoodies in my zoopie and say zooray!!!! My mom works as the grill operator, she's underneath the disc eating the scraps that fall into the hole. Anyway, try my favorite, two bowls, no meat, no noodles, no vegetables and one bowl full of MeSoGarlic and the other full of Raw Oil. Tell them I sent you, haha ;). Ey get ZooTeD. ! Anyway I gotta go have sßx, like me on Twitter, fern the GerM. See ya.....

This is one of my favorite places to visit whenever I'm in the city. I brought my family here this week and we had a wonderful time! The place was a full house, but the staff got us in there quickly and were very fast & friendly. And the food was 5 star 🌟 Can't wait to visit again!!

Always a fun experience! If you don't like the food, you can only blame yourself. You go through and pick out whatever you want the chefs to stir-fry for you. Nice selection of proteins, veggies, noodles, and sauces to choose from. All you can eat, you can go through the line as many times as you want. They also have beer & mixed drinks available. Friendly, attentive staff. Plenty of seating available. Ok parking....strip mall type. Handicap accessible. Price is $14 per adult I think. Good stuff!

Always fun to experiment with the different foods and flavor combos you can make. All of the different flavors sauces and oils are wildly different from each other and can add completely different flavors to your food.

Never had hibachi like this. Almost like a buffet. You get to pick your noodles, meat, veggies, and more!!! Great service and time with family. Appreciated all the hard work from the staff to keep things fresh and ready to eat. Fast service. Would recommend joining their reward program too. Thank you!

Wow, awesome awesome awesome. We chose the meats and different veggies we wanted to be our meal. They also had zucchini noodles and Asian noodles to choose from, they bring rice to you at the table. You then choose the seasoned oil you want your food grilled with, I didn't count, but maybe about 12-16 to choose from, even mixed mine to get the level of heat and spice i like. What I thought was interesting was that everyone had a different meal. Fresh and hot.

I am not really into buffet style dining until I was invited by family. The whole dining experience is awesome, there is something magical about loading up a plate of food and having someone with great showmanship and expertise prepare it for you, right before your eyes. Food was delicious, atmosphere is welcoming, and prices are very reasonable. Thanks for a great birthday dinner.

Best place to eat if you have allergies. I picked out my own ingredients and let the chef know that I had allergies and everything else was taken care of.

So, having customers wear gloves to get food ends up being very counterproductive from a health standpoint, not to mention the environmental damage. (95% of people don’t know how to put on / remove gloves properly, which makes them pointless.) The food was excellent as always, though. Waitress was great and quick to refill drinks.

The food is pretty good normally. The facilities are never actually clean and they always seem understaffed.

Great service! They have plenty of options for those who are restricted. The layout is not ideal, the way it's set up is to get people in, and then out quickly, which is fair, considering it's a good place to get a quick, fun meal. However, it makes it difficult to keep anything clean, while the employees do their best to keep up on everything, they're always on the floor helping maintain the lobby, but it's lost on how backed up it gets. I know they have to keep tables full, but if they their employees enough time in between to take care things, and didn't rush them, it would help them maintain their lobby better.

Went on a super busy homecoming night and they were able to get our larger party in quickly. Service was fast and friendly, did great keeping up with refills. Meal was delicious (thankful for friends to help me choose what to get!)

This is not the type of cuisine that I would normally seek out, but some folks from work suggested it, so I went along. It was very good. I wasn't sure exactly which sauce flavor to add to my noodles, veggies, and meats -- I ended up with something that was a garlic flavor, the name of which I can't remember. It was really tasty, I will go back the next time I'm out there.

A fantastic value for lunch here. Not too crowded. Fast service. A small wine and beer selection but serviceable. The value is superb. The meat is frozen on the buffet and cooked fresh before you. Keep in mind it shrinks a lot in cooking but you can go back for additional servings trying different sauce combinations. Fun and good for picky eaters. They do offer peanuts so if dangerously allergic you might want to pass.

This place is always good for the category it falls into. Always clean, good wait staff, and super fast and cheap. The food is exactly as good as what you pick, so it is fairly hard to go wrong w this for a fast but real food option. The appetizers are only average so we usually stick to the grill

This place is always great, I mean, who wouldn't like the idea of making their own personalized plate? Always pretty clean, helpful staff who will do their best to answer questions if you need help trying to figure out a sauce combo, plenty of protein and veggie options so you can really get your perfect dish. The only complaint I have is, for whatever reason the inside of that place always makes everything sound really loud (at least in my experience) like everything is a few decibels higher than makes sense for the amount of people in the place.

Consistently good food. My only problem was that I only went through the line once, so the cost seemed high, as is typical for a buffet. I loved the new citrus sauce. The hostess that seated us seemed sour and uninterested, not making a good first impression. Everyone else was much better.

Another night in the West Des Moines areas, and sometimes you want something...different when it comes to your eating out experience. Well, look no further, dear reader, then Huhot! I never been here before, but when I hear all you can eat AND Mongolian grill, I just couldn't pass it up! I was curious, and wanted to know if the rumors and hype for the restaurant was accurate. First things first, the interior. It's clean and nice, with decor that tries to show how Mongolian it is. It's kinda funny, but the art and such is nice to look at, which makes it worth it. And when I say the place is clean, I mean I walked around the store, and not a drop of wasted food or wrappers was on the ground, and they keep their stone grill spic and span! So right away, not only was I expecting good food, but I knew it was gonna be clean! Then there was the food itself. Now, for an all you can eat, they do have an appetizer menu that they can start you with, but does cost extra in addition to the all you can eat. A bit of a bummer but it is a bonus. And I selected the sampler, which comes with egg roll, pot stickers, and crab Rangoon. The pot stickers tasted nice and wasn't real greasy or oily, as was the egg roll. The crab Rangoon was nice as well, with a cream cheese taste to it that I always find satisfying. The sauce that the three came with was...interesting. I can't tell if it's sweet and sour or a mild chili, but it did complement...most of the food. Now, time for the main event. The Mongolian stir fry! Like most Mongolian grills, you select what you want from a line, and bring it to the counter for the cooks to make. The options was rather vast, from meat to veggies and so on! No worries vegans, there are options for you too! But what I found interesting was the sauce bar. There was an impressive selection, ranging from mildly flavorful to burning. Eater beware, if you can't handle spice, stay away from the Khans Revenge, their hottest sauce. They also come with their own selections to noodles. Oddly enough, you get steamed rice, but no part of the selection. As in, normally when you're getting the food, when you get back to the table, you get steamed rice then. I kinda wish you could just get steamed rice before hand and have if fried with your stir fry, but it's not a deal breaker. In fact, rice is a good way to cleanse the pallet. There is a drink bar for the adults, but I didn't get a chance to partake in any beverages. Maybe next time! Overall, I did enjoy my experience and my meal, after about three plates I was good to go! I will say try to come when it's not so busy, as you will be waiting for a waiter if it's very busy. And, as always, be sure to tip the lovely cooks and servers for their hard work. They earned it! So what are you waiting for!? Go eat!

Always a good time and fun place to eat. Beware that the noodles do not always cook down as much as you might think. My friend found out the hard way lol.

Here's the deal... if you don't like there food that's your own fault because you made it. Love all the selections. They will even help out people with certain food allergies. They will clean the grill and cook your completely separate from everyone else's. The only suggestion is to just get bigger cups or get better at refills

I have been frequenting Huhot since it opened when I was younger. Always a great experience. I spoke so highly of it and was so excited when I bring someone from out of town to see what is such a great place. The bartender immediately looked bewildered, knew nothing we asked for. I had to explain where the taps were. 15 minutes later never received even a water, while they had several wait staff or multiple hosts just hanging out with the manager literally doing nothing of importance. Finally I asked for the manager, which clearly took him away from his ever so important conversations with teenagers, to ask him if he was capable of please pouring us a drink. He asked who was responsible, I explained who, to which the incompetent employee yelled out “they’re being weird!”. The “manager” then said you should know things like This take time. I’ve worked the job, I’ve been in the weeds. I know how difficult and frustrating service industry can be. I would be embarrassed, not just for their lack of capability to run a “let’s be honest buffet”, but for their utter disrespect. Be better, do better. Pathetic.

HuHot is always great for food. Just be aware if you have food allergies because there is unavoidable cross contamination. If you are sensitive to sound be aware that it is usually very loud in the resturant as well.
