A very cruel hotel. This is the second review I am writing as the hotel put an appeal on my old review which was then deleted. Have booked for 6 days here and it started with the first disaster on the first day, we had cockroaches on the balcony, the door was broken and the room unclean. Complained, only one day later at 4 pm (!) we got a new room - yes we were kept waiting for hours. Then the second disaster in the second room, no working air conditioning at over 35 degrees outside temperature, broken shower head, unclean room, unclean bedspreads and pillows, broken socket. Complained again - kept waiting again for hours. I came here to rest and not keep running to the front desk to complain. The next problem was breakfast and dinner, unfortunately very meager selection especially no selection for vegans. Every day the same food we were at some point very sick from the food and we got stomach pains and have decided from the fourth day to eat out. On the demand of money back and especially for the half board we were turned away. We reported it to the European Community and are waiting for the process. On the last two days we had to complain that the cleaning lady had not cleaned our room at all and then one came by and did not take the dirty towels and left a flood in the room. Child friendly one is also not and one comes no piece to meet, when eating one offered us in a restaurant called "Krystal" to eat free of charge to be allowed however had this restaurant only a menu and that every day and also only with seafood, which we do not eat because my girlfriend is vegan, we have this offer thankfully rejected. You always noticed at the reception that you are unwelcome because you complained so often. We travel a lot but this has never happened to us. And here we will never come again and advise all customers against it. Apparently such things happen more often, have also talked to the other hotel guests about it. Very sad for the money we wasted and our time. Postscript: Today 19.07.2023 is our last day and we have again had to experience a disaster, the ceiling is totally wet and there is dripping water down and it was not removed. (Pictures are attached) so every day we have had problems with this hotel and it's really terrible to have to experience something like this for so much money....

Stayed for a week in October, and had the most relaxing family holiday. An excellent hotel with professional staff, good sized rooms, lovely indoor pool, a short walk to sandy beaches, enormous range of breakfast and delightful sea views. Blackout curtains in case you want to sleep through the beautiful sunrise. Can't fault it.

1. Reception is always extremely busy. If you need anything you’d have to wait for at least 30 minutes. Even though we have arrived at 4 pm, we’ve got keys from our room at 4:50 2. We’ve had to go to reception 4 times to fix the keys during our 3 nights stay (keep in mind that there is always line to the reception) 3. There is weird smell in the room of chemicals used to polish wood 4. There is not enough sun beds in the hotel and situation gets even worse due to visitors reserving them with towels in early morning even though it’s prohibited 5. You are not able to get any food on Sunday from 15:30 til 19:00 as room service is not working and there is no restaurants open at that time 6. It’s not possible to turnoff small light by the bed. In our room it was patched by adhesive bandage. It looked pretty nasty 7. Furnished is old and there is no separation between bedroom and bathroom so you can’t get any privacy 8. There are two single beds put together instead of single wide one

Spent 3 days and 3 nights in October 2023. Super friendly stuff, great selection for breakfast that was included in price. Awesome view from room and from the beach. Room is nice, clean, bright. Very happy overall. Bus stop right in front of the lobby.

Loved our stay here. Lounging by the pool in the sun and listening to sea cant be beat. The pool bar had a lovely selection of cocktails too. The staff are fantastic, probably the friendliest I've ever encountered in a hotel. The room was quite spacious too with a large amount of storage. Breakfast and dinner are buffets which had a huge selection of food. Bus stop just outside the front of the hotel too which is handy. Really appreciated the live music on the Friday and Saturday night when we were there, was nice to sit and have a few drinks and end a day of sightseeing. Overall fantastic place and can see us returning in the future for sure

recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The location was absolutely perfect - it was within walking distance of restaurants, and the public transportation options nearby made it easy to explore further afield. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. But the real star of the show was the breakfast - it was simply delicious! There were so many options to choose from, including both hot and cold dishes, and everything was made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a great start to your day, you won't be disappointed. And to top it all off, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area - you won't regret it!

We had a perfect time at the Hotel Bonanza Playa Resort. It has the friendliest staff. Our room was cleaned perfectly every day. The breakfast buffet was very rich. My birthday was celebrated with a cake and a bottle of cava. Valentina is so nice and takes perfect care of the pool area. We also liked the wellness area, which was very quiet most of the time.

We enjoyed a week at the hotel earlier in August and couldn't fault it at all! The rooms were kept spotless, pool/beach area great and the food was incredible - both in choice and quality. It was also really easy to jump on a bus into Palma. Of particular note were the staff - the young doorman, reception staff, cleaners and waiting staff were all cheerful and polite. My review wouldn't be complete however without special mention of Pepe and Nues - their welcome to the restaurant each day was professional, friendly and a joy!! Thank you!

That was our first time in Mallorca and I have gone through thousands of hotels in this price category checking comments and ratings on tripadvisor, google, booking and so on. I am extremely happy that I found Bonanza Palace and that we have decided on it. These were two unforgettable weeks! Yes, the building is not the most modern but it is taken a very good care of. The premises have everything you need: two large pools (one adults only! wonderful!), green lawns, lots of sunbeds, more of a stoney area, bar, SPA, gym, several entrances to the sea, diving and snorkeling. We had half board and it was just amazing! Soooooo many options and different themes every evening! Many many thanks to the kitchen crew for an amazing culinary experience and for being so friendly and always ready to answer the random questions :)The whole hotel team deserves a separate applause. VERY BIG thanks to Pablo and Clara at the restaurant - TOP service!!!!! Many thanks to Joana and Olga from the pool bar! very professional and friendly and OMG that Frappe was to die for!!! :D Thanks to Adrian for always making the guests smile :D ! Go aqua gym !Many thanks to the whole front desk crew for being extremely helpful anytime! Eva ;) Gracias! Carmen, the hotel manager, is everything that a true hotel manager should be! She was there as early as 7 in the morning making sure everything was working and shining! Top!All the cleaning staff deserves a separate appreciation for their hard work and for keeping the place clean and safe for all the guests! If i would be picky tho.. I would suggest investing in a bit better pillows.. AND think of some alternative music options for breakfast and dinner. It was all the same CD every day and some songs became annoying earworms unfortunately :( BUT.. Overall, GREAT experience! An escape to paradise! We will be back!!!

Our hotel room was supposed to face the sea and the pool but we had a side room which faced the other building to the left and just a partial portion of the sea. Pedro (Polish) was the nicest at the reception desk, knowledgeable, professional and caring. Seemed like a lot of people were being trained at the reception desk which delayed the help required. The reception staff was not really attentive to their guests. I'm giving the hotel 5 starts because of the actual hotel location and the design of the building.

This hotel is outstanding. Fabulous service, always going above and beyond. The food is fabulous -catering for all allergens and dietary requirements. So impressed with this hotel- we even were able to check in 3 hours early (as we arrived at 11am) how many hotels allow that? Usually they always say “no”! this hotel always say yes and they make things happen. Fabulous customer service from Rosana who was always around to ensure everyone was ok. We will be back- thank you

We stayed 7 nights in the hotel and absolutely loved it! Great facilities, very friendly staff and good atmosphere. The breakfast was very good with loads of variety and we also had dinner a few nights, which we enjoyed as well. Our favorite was the restaurant at the pool, which is great for lunch or drinks. Reception can be a bit busy, meaning you have to wait for check in/out or have other questions - but staff was always friendly and provided us with a drink for the wait. Would definitely come back here!

A 4 Star Hotel with a 5 Star Experience!!! 1.) The staff is super courteous and they always welcome you with a smile. 2.) They Genuinely listen to your requests and try their best to accommodate them. 3.) The Hotel has 3 pools and a Jacuzzi and a Spa centre. 4.) Lots of space if you just want to enjoy the Sun . 5.) The Hotel is a bit far from the Airport but you can easily take a bus from the Airport and the best thing is that the Hotel entrance is right at the Bus stop ( EMT Route / Bus No.4). 6.) There is a diving centre right beneath the hotel. Ask for "Andri" to have the best diving experience . 7.) The Breakfast is really great. Overall a very good hotel at good prices !!!!

Nice views and easy transportation to Palma with the bus that stops right outside the hotel. The beds was awful, going home after 3 nights with my back destroyed, and I never have back problems. No vegan options at the breakfast(no vegan cheese,yoghurt etc.)expected more from this hotel. Pool-bar prices is ridiculous, a hamburger for my 3 year old, with no extras, only bread, burger and ketchup 15€, and a glass of bottle- juice 4.50€😬

Really enjoyed the week we spent in the Bonanza Playa in May 2022. Accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped. Pool area perfect for both relaxing and meeting people with pool bar/restaurant beside it. Breakfast was a daily highlight with a vast choice of options. We loved the location by the beach and within walking distance of restaurants/shops plus bus stop and taxi rank right outside were very handy. Staff were super friendly throughout. We were in a group and we were very impressed that the hotel honoured our 2020 prepaid bookings that had been cancelled due to covid. Not only did they honour our original bookings but as prices had come down in the 2 years since they credited our account with the difference. Very impressive and so nice to experience such considerate customer care. We look forward to going back to the Bonanza Playa again

One of the best hotels in Illetes. Excellent team: the guys at the reception are all great (Stefano, Pedro, Karim, Ramon), they work quickly and professionally, Rosanna and Monika are very hospitable, Monika will remember the whole year 226. Very tasty food in the restaurant and always from fresh products (special thanks to Tanya , Daniel and Mario). The pool bar has superb service, special thanks to Castro, Joanna, Olga, Rogelio for this. The lobby bar always has the best bartender: Tony. Until we meet again....

Absolutely loved everything about the hotel - they were so welcoming and accomodating, the view was beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic. Location nice and quiet but easy enough to get into the centre of town from the bus outside. Hopefully I can come back when the water is a bit warmer and I can swim in the lovely cove!

Fantastic hotel with a view! Perfect greeting and reception. Stuff is incredibly sweet and helpful. I especially recommend the delicious breakfast (with ocean view!). Indoor pool, whirlpool and sauna is perfect for morning relaxation. Our room was on the same level as the lobby and bar area and in the evening there's a piano player, which I personally loved dozing off too. The only downside is the water quality in our room... Extremely chlorinated, I couldn't even brush my teeth with it. But all in all we had a wonderful time and would love to visit again thanks to amazing view and stuff.

nice place. Great pool and sea swimming area but missing a few basics. no kettle, no robes, hairdryer was awful and a few other small things. Spa is tiny too. But. overall enjoyed my stay here

Holiday place where is everything that you need. Located just 30 minutes away from the airport and 15 minutes away from Palma. Super peaceful place that has 2 good-sized swimming pools and a private beach where you can enjoy water activities like snorkelling, diving, etc. Amazing restaurants with great choice of food. Everyone at the hotel was welcoming and place itself is looked after very well. Just 5 minutes walk away, there are other local beaches to see with great restaurants. There was only one minor thing that we weren't happy with on mornings when housekeepers started to clean rooms they were chatting very loudly and woke us up, but a part of that we loved the hotel. 🌟

A lovely hotel with great facilities and fantastic views. The staff worked hard to ensure we had a hassle free stay. The all you can eat breakfast buffet was amazing, the staff discreet and attentive. The only suggestion is to improve the quality of food at the poolside restaurant as it was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. I highly recommend if you are looking a for a little bit of luxury with a great sea view.

Highly recommend the service and location of the hotel to the ones who would like to relax in a quiet place with the amazing view. There is a very cute and cosy beach in the resort. The staffs are attentive through every part of the hotel. The duty manager - Ana is very kind and helpful in assisting me to check in. Definitely would like to come back!

Breathtaking views from reception, breakfast and your room. Lovely staff who really do surpass your expectations - in particular, Rosana and Leo were just wonderful to interact with. They were always on hand to help and facilitated an exceptional experience. Thank you both. I’ll be staying again without a doubt.

The hotel is in a phenomenal location. They have a choice of 3 pools, one for adults, one for the family and in indoor one(which I didn't see because why would you be indoors in such a beautiful location) There is also beach /sea access so you can jump straight into the med, which I did at the start and end of each day of my stay. Breakfast buffet was huge and with more than enough options to start your day. Valentina and her team looking after guest at the pool and pool bar were absolutely lovely. By their sea access is a dive shop where you can scuba dive or hire snorkel and googles ran by a good bunch of dudes. The rooms were fine, yes the atheistic feels a little bit older but the bed was comfy, views from balcony were beautiful, and when you are somewhere like illetas why would you be in your room besides sleep? Besides the aesthetic of the room the rest of the hotel way beautiful, and the team at reception very helpful. We were only booked for 3 nights but we loved it that much I cancelled a reservation in another property to be there longer. Cannot recommend enough!

The views from the hotel is amazing. The fact that you can get into the ocean from the hotel is very convenient. It also has very a cool place to dive in and see various things. Breakfast is also quite good and there is a lot to choose from

I was weary that this would be a broken down hotel and yes the decor and some exterior is outdated but we got a junior suite and the view was amazing ( I think almost every room actually has at least a partial sea view). The breakfast was good not great but solid! And the pool was amazing. You can also dip into the sea right there it’s beautiful. The room was also clean and bed was comfortable. Oh ya taxi to and from airport is about €40 and the bus to Palma really is right in front of the hotel and it literally comes every 10 minutes. The ride in says it takes 45 min on google maps but we went three times and it tools 20-25 min each time!!

4 star hotel location and decent amenities with 2 star (being generous) customer service! The lack of professionalism and hospitality is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately!!!!! The Good: The hotel amenities, location, and views are all great. The hotel has a private area (embarcadero) where you can dip into the sea and relax with some amazing views, apart from three pools and an spa. The breakfast is very good and the food in general as well. The location is very convenient and if you rent a car you have parking right there in the hotel. There is also a walking distance beach that is very nice and convenient. The Bad: Despite the rooms having some great views and a balcony, they do not meet the standards of a 4 star hotel nor a 4.5 star hotel. The elevators are slow and crowded and there was one that did not even work for the entire trip (which is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel) Now, the WORST part of the hotel is their TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, the manager onsite is rude and far from what a manager should be. The rest of the employees seem to be not happy with the hotel or what they are doing since many of them (not all) lack the basic customer service and people’s skills. For the most part they would speak between them in Catalan right in front of you and then respond to you is a not friendly manner that it can’t be done, without providing any solutions or consideration. We had a couple of very unpleasant experiences and overall the service at the hotel was subpar to the say the least. Overall, the hotel was good and it would be even better if it was managed differently or by another group of people. With their current staff they are much closer to being a 3 star hotel than a 5 star hotel to say the least. If customer service is essential for you then choose a 5 star hotel or a real 4 star hotel to get the most from your investment!

Great experience. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful (Pablo and Leon at breakfast especially). Fantastic see views from our room and from breakfast restaurant. Pool area with direct beach access. If in Mallorca, i will return.

We had a fabulous stay at the Bonanza Palace. The customer service is exceptional. Food and room (with a beautiful sea view) were brilliant. Hats off to the entire staff and team - they know how to look after their guests. Specials thanks to Eva, Rafa & Leo at reception and Antonio at the bar - nothing was too much trouble for them. Will definitely be coming back next year!!

The hotel is closer to a 5star than a 4star. Excellent service By all staff, cleanliness, amenities. In-house dive center and salon was a big plus, and there are loads of restaurant options just outside or a short drive away.

We've been very disappointed in the service of the hotel. We had an issue with the key of our room and we had to wait 3 hours (from 22.30 to 1am) before having access again. We asked for at least a shirt so we could try to sleep in another room but they didn't have anything to give us (did they even try..!?). Also, the lady was quit aggressive because we didn't let the window opened. Finally at 1am, we were able to have access to our room but we didn't even have an apology nor good will gesture. Like nothing happened. Really doesn't worth a 4 stars hotel.

Our room, on the eighth floor, provides a panoramic view of the coastline and of the cruise ships arriving and leaving the harbour at Palma. The room is spotlessly maintained with towels and toiletries regularly replaced. However, the layout of the room is unusual not the conventional bathroom and toilet and does not provide the expected seclusion normally associated with your daily personal needs. There is an attractive area accommodating sun beds and pool providing a relaxing and enjoyable time. Inside the hotel are relaxing and comfortable areas for enjoying a drink or coffee. The food in the restaurant is beautifully prepared and presented providing a wide choice of cuisine to satisfy most needs. The restaurant staff are attentive and pleasant making meal times very enjoyable.

Amazing experience, I definitely recommend this hotel for short or long stay. The view from the room is truly breathtaking. The located is ideal and the facility offers plenty of things to do on lazy days. We loved it! Absolutely worth going for half board pension. The food variety and quality is simply amazing. The personal of the hotel is very nice and at your service. I would consider go back next time I go to Mallorca. Congratulations and thank you to Bonanza Hotel for making the stay special.

Best hotel in the world. Well, that’s my opinion! Beautiful setting, friendly staff and great facilities. My ideal place to be is sipping cocktails at the pool bar while gazing out across the Med! Wish I could stay there more often. My family and I love it. ❤️🍹🌅

Hotel is nice located with a great view to the sea / nice pool area / friendly staff But for the price quality is not really met. After the 1st night we had to change the room as the direct seaview room had a view to the concrete wall. The changed room had a disgusting smell coming from the shower / toilet. The staff was not able to fix.

Great hotel with helpful staff. We booked a presidential suite as a treat and asked for a high floor. The hotel obliged with floor 7, the top floor. It was an amazing view which we couldn't fault. Whilst these rooms were not refurbished (as the whole hotel was) they did retain a more older them, with wood panelling, they were still of a high standard. The outside area looks more like the South of France than Majorca, with a pool that juts out into the sea, mature palms and even its own small marina, which has easy access for swimming. Breakfast was great and all of the staff had a smile. The only minor comment would be that the outside needs a refresh, but thats a minor issue. All in all, a real find and I understand why there were guests who had been back every year for some time.

We had some unexpected issues via our travel agency booking that left us w/o dinner upon arrival. The staff at Bonanza quickly understood the problem and got us something to eat @ midnight even though the hotel kitchen was closed. That following morning, we had the pleasure to meet w/ Carmen who quickly made sure that this wouldn't be an issue for us at that night's buffet. The hotel overall is a dream for being pampered by the spa, pool, and hot tub facilities. Despite the overall beauty of Mallorca, it was hard to leave behind the amenities of the hotel. We had an amazing first time in Mallorca thanks to Carmen and her crew at Bonanza!

This is no longer the same hotel it once was if you have memories from before covid change them, first they forgot to give us a tag for our bags after telling us they could only bring our bags to our room the next day which is hilarious. We could have just brought it down to our room ourselves. The key system they use is cheap and myself and multiple other guest had to constantly ask for new keys it became a joke. All of the staff is highly undertrained and it’s clear Managment just said deal with it to the new guys. Buffet was worse under the new Managment and they have this weird policy after every SINGLE individual drink they give you a new check I had to sign 10 checks for a short dinner what do they thing I’m going to do run out the door. When I asked why they did this the rude dining manager said “when you come to my house you play by my rules” it was so pathetic we didn’t even respond. Good luck to this dying hotel after many years won’t be stopping by again. The scuba store below is still great

Superb hotel just outside Palma. Very regular bus service, number 4, stops directly outside, only 2 euros. Lovely room, superb staff. Only problem was with check-out, waited 20 minutes to be checked out... computer problems allegedly, then ordered a taxi, which took 25 minutes to arrive. Apparently the taxi situation is not uncommon, so beware.

It has been our second time at Bonanza :) If anything, things got only better thin year! We inquired about a possibility of getting a similar room as last year and were given the SAME room!! :D This made our stay particularly pleasant as we truly felt like at home! Thank you very much for that !!!! All reception staff was professional, friendly, solved all our little issues and gave advice. Thank you very much Rosanna for making sure everyone is happy !!!! Amazing kitchen staff, as always! A lady that prepares omelettes is such a SWEETHEART! So friendly and attentive! Very special THANKS to one and only Pablo!!! Pablo has a class and knows how to provide an amazing breakfast and dinner experience !!! :D Great service by Joana at the pool bar!!! :D Top level professional!!! We have had the most wonderful time here. Stunning hotel, exceeded our high expectations. Very clean, spacious and modern. Extremely friendly and helpful staff throughout. We will definitely come here again! Highly recommended!

Pleasant stay here in the fall for a few days. Friendly front desk staff happy to help with arrangements and suggestions. Rooms fine. Breakfast buffet generous with wide variety. Location close enough to town, easy by bus or taxi. No real beach, access to sea to swim and three pools and chaise lounges to enjoy the lovely view of the sea.

Wonderful location, great food, lovely Rooms… Overall a great hotel, for good prices. Shared a room with my wife and our 2 year old son. A lot of space, and great attention to detail in the decor. The service was great. Top tier experience with the staff. Kerim was a top employee! Always smiling. Pool personel was also great.

Amazing stay at this fantastic hotel. What made it so special was the way the staff made us feel so welcome. Especially Eva who did more than she had to, to make our stay a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble for her. I highly recommend it
