We
went
for
a
joint
family
birthday
meal.
Lovely
venue
with
nice
staff
and
a
great
outdoor
area
for
the
kids
when
the
weather
is
a
little
more
appealing.
It
was
a
very
busy
afternoon
so
service
was
a
little
slower
than
expected
which
I
understand
with
working
in
hospitality
myself.
Our
server
although
I
didn’t
catch
her
name
was
really
nice
and
did
what
she
could
for
us.
The
food
was
lovely.
Scallops
for
starter,
trio
of
fish
for
mains
and
crumble
for
dessert.
My
only
Criticism
is
that
the
thick
cut
chips
were
dire
and
really
didn’t
match
the
quality
of
the
rest
of
the
food.
They
were
thick
soggy
and
very
oily
and
just
tasted
like
oil,
not
pleasant!
I
was
expecting
a
thick
cut
chip
that
was
crispy
on
the
outside
and
fluffy
on
the
inside.
I
can
say
that
they
looked
blanched
as
opposed
to
being
cooked
through
properly
which
tells
me
that
they
just
sent
the
food
out
when
it
was
ready
and
didn’t
have
time
to
cook
the
chips.
I
would
much
rather
them
have
sent
all
the
food
out
then
let
us
know
the
chips
will
be
another
minute
or
two
to
make
sure
everything
was
tip
top.
Let
me
make
clear
that
this
didn’t
ruin
the
experience
for
us
but
just
left
us
feeling
a
little
confused
as
to
why
the
chef
would
serve
such
lovely
food
only
to
be
brought
down
by
the
lack
of
attention
to
the
chips.
But
overall
I’d
give
8
and
half
out
of
10
