Our usual place as close to home. Nice place to have a Sunday roast or walk in for a meal. Good food, friendly staff and great ambiance. So pleased to see them open after the lockdown.

Would give it zero stars if possible. Not busy at all but even after 80min waiting for the food to come out i left. Some customers waiting longer than me, any that managed to get food complained. To to it off, I had the privilege of listening to the staff in the kitchen staff shouting and swearing at each other from the dining area. Never again

What a experience had my daughters 40th birthday today food was unbelievable staff amazing perfect so welcoming not one fault with anything would recommend to anyone who wants a family get-together xxxxx

Food is great, portion sizing where other companies seem to be reducing this company seem to enjoy giving the bigger portion size. Always hot, tasty, and served with a smile from any of the staff working here.

Christmas Dinner today was ok No mash potato No Yorkshire pudding. Brussels Sprouts were rock hard.and Some very pequliar Sprinkles on top. Dessert was tiny. Service was good. food was out in a timely manner. What we found really Strange after sitting down at 14.30. Was then to be told that the bar was Closed at 1500hrs. With absolutely no pre-warning. One rude staff member Said that she had to get home for her Christmas Dinner. Lets Just hope she had an Alcohol Drink with her meal. Kevin and his staff are always friendly and happy to help. Every meal I've had has alway been delicious and well worth the money. The chef & kitchen staff have always been happy to amend any of the dishes I ordered without any issues. Would highly recommend visiting this pub. Quiz night on Thursdays is always a fun night and the bingo on a Sunday night is also worth a try. Always a great atmosphere everytime I have visited.

Had a lovely Christmas meal here, cannot fault the service or atmosphere. I eat here regularly and I've never had a bad meal. Staff are always very pleasant and friendly especially the landlord Kevin who always goes out of his way to make you feel welcome.

Not been here for years, went yesterday for food, staff helpful and polite. Was told a short wait for food as 1 chef on, wait wasn't to long for our food. Food tasted nice and a good price. Will be back to taste more of the menu

Came in for a Sunday roast, place was heaving but staff were still able to be friendly and attentive. The roasts are beautiful and great value for money, will definitely be back again soon

Last time I've been here it was horrible. What seems to be the employee's or owner's kids constantly running around, playing ball and screaming inside the restaurant. It was highly annoying if you're trying to have a nice meal and have to be concerned that a ball will land on your table or they run into your table. They were constantly running into the kitchen area. Edit: I just want to point out that not "kids in general" are the issue here. kids running around in the _staff only_ area and throwing balls around _inside_ the restaurant is my issue.

One star for the light and comfortable atmosphere....I only have criticism for the food I endured at this establishment. Waited 24 mins for 4 dishes. (2 x) Hunters chicken was so SO dry and overcooked. My chicken pie had a minimal dashing of "filling" and the entire pastry was (biscuit) hard and crumbly. The best one was the fist sized burger.....no complaints there. Maybe the chef had an off day, but I won't be going back again to see if s/he woke up on the right side of the bed.

Great atmosphere. We really enjoyed it here, the staff were so friendly. I got the the mixed grill and asked for the steak medium rare. Came out spot on. Nice bitter shandy to wash it down. Over all great experience, we will be back.

When you walk into the venue it’s a really lovely atmosphere full of families and refreshing to see a local pub so busy. However, this did not mimic our overall experience. As we were a party of 10+, the policy is to provide a preorder, which is accommodated. But, we then proceeded to wait an hour and a half for the food, with one family member waiting 2 hours! Defeating the hard work of collecting the preorder beforehand. The ‘Surf N Turf’ was asked for as a medium rare however came well done. We sent it back and waited another 15 minutes for the steak to caome back rare. In addition, the All Day Breaktast states sausages and eggs (plural) but only one of each provided. I asked to speak to the manager, who reluctantly came over after around 45 minutes after asking to speak to him. He was accommodating and said he would do his best for us when it came to paying the bill with removing food which wasn't pleasant and other discounts. However, this did not compensate for the overall experience we had here and are very disappointed and upset with the service we recieved. This was for a birthday tea and were all left deflated and still hungry. Do not recommend!

A fabulous pub! The staff are always so welcoming and hard working. The pub itself has had a refurb over the years, and it looks lovely. They've done a great job. Weekends can get busy, so it may be worth booking a table. They have 2 roasts on for £12 and they also have 2 main meals on the selected menu for £10 which is a bargain! The food is always lovely here and there's always a welcoming vibe from everyone. I've added some photos from when we arrived early. They also do mid week offers on the drinks. There's a pool table and dart board too. Hubby loves the sams mega mixed grill. I would recommend :)

My friend and I have just had a lovely Sunday lunch there ,it was very good throughly enjoyed it and the dessert 🍰. Will definitely go there again

Been previously and had a really great meal. Recent visit was a huge disappointment. We went midweek and when it was not busy. Got a simple food order wrong and food was dry.

It's the second time I've been, first time I gave it a four, This time it is a generous two. We had the mix grill on both occasions, but after this one I wouldn't buy it again. We got of to a bad start as the staff totally confused the order up. We got there eventually, but the last thing I said was please make sure they don't put a egg on my plate, Sure enough they did so I ended up swapping food with my wife. The food was dry and over cooked, the chips weren't edible and the pepper saucewas like water. Cut the story short the gammon was the only thing worth eating. I gave it a two because the starter, garlic cheese ciabatta was nice. The staff this time was also a massive let down, first time they were great. They kept popping over to make sure everything was OK, they couldn't do enough for you. For which we gave them a good tip. This time they didn't even come back once to see if everything was OK, they were to busy talking at the bar.

Disappointed this time. Has always been great value but this time portion size was very very poor. Breaded mushrooms starter were tiny, almost marrowfat pea size mushrooms. Half rack of ribs were the smallest I've ever seen and my banoffee pie dessert was gone in one mouthful it was that small. However the steak with my ribs combo was amazing and as usual the staff were really helpful, polite and friendly which is why I didn't complain to them. £60 for two wasn't cheap either only had three drinks between us. It was a new menu so bit concerned this will now be the norm as we've been going there for over 30 years since it was just a pub.

Lovely pub. Staff very friendly. Loved the food tho I couldn't finish my chicken in a basket . Flavour was wonderful. Only thing I can complain about is speed of service.. a little slow. Will be going back

The food was ok, but not a good as we'd expecting after reading some reviews. We ordered 2 for £12 on Sunday roasts; asked for double meat and received what I'd normally say is a child size portion. One slice of beef, a tablespoon of swede mash, 3 yes 3 green beans, 2 toast potatoes and 3 parsnips. The homemade Yorkshire pudding was the best part. £6 each was worth the price, but I'd never pay the full £9.95 each. 3 stars as the staff were really nice 👍

Food was great but the service was very poor. Waiters/waitresses not even looking at our table and repeatedly had to be asked to serve us. It wasn't even that busy. Won't be returning in a hurry which is a shame as it was a family meal for a birthday
