👍👍 Excellent pub with an interesting railway theme and great service. We were served at our table so we could watch the trains go by and didn't have to wait at the bar. People often mention staff, station, great, lovely, good, cafe, train, wonderful, meat, Station,

Had afternoon tea with a friend and her Mum. Everything was tasty and well presented. Finger sandwiches may have been a little chunky for my taste but that didn't detract from what was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff were attentive throughout and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Hope to be back again before too long.

This is a most amazing place. A station that was derelict for 20 years is now a lovely restaurant. There are railway lamps and signalling equipment in nooks and crannies, and a wonderful collection of signals outside. The real jewel in tje crown is the signal box that was moved from Keighley. Oh yes I forgot to add, good beer and great, well-priced wholesome food.

What a fabulous place! Sit on the station (almost) and enjoy a pint or a coffee plus a very good choice of excellent food! I can heartily reccomended the meat and potatoes pie with mushy peas and a generous helping of tasty gravy! It really is home made (the pie) with plenty of real meat inside with a proper shortcrust pastry! The Station itself is well worth a wander around with loads of memorabilia to peruse. We were lucky enough to be there when the Friends of Irlam Station Volunteers were having a meeting and some of them willingly showed us around and told us about some of the history of the station and surrounding area. Very informative and knowledgeable volunteers! We hope to be back for the summer event on the 10th June with 'Golden Oldies' and Vintage Vehicles. Well done to everyone at the cafe and Station for making our visit one to remember!

Visited today with 2 children.  Beautifully restored and plenty to see.  Free to have a look around both indoors and outdoors.  Lovely sculptures on a walk that is probably a 1 mile circular.  Booked in advance for a table for lunch.  Seated in a lovely replica train carriage, which the children loved!  All of the staff spoke to us like we were regular visitors and had known us a lifetime!  1 member of staff kept seeing us at points during our visit and interacted with both adults and children like he was a friend!  Lots to chose from on the menu!  Was very impressed that children could eat for £1 during the holidays!  Spent approximately 4 hours here in total.  Car parking next to the station.  Would definitely recommend.

Always a pleasure to visit here. Took my son and partner for an impromptu lunch and they loved it. Keep up the friendly and accommodating service.

The worst and most expensive minced meat and one new potato pie chopped in two I have ever had ( meat and potato pie) mushy peas were ok but they weren't home made and the pastry wasn't cooked through. Very disappointing for such a self acclaimed high end establishment. Pricey across the offerings as well.

Based on the platform at Irlam train station, this is a great little place to stop, grab a coffee and enjoy some fabulous food. Also a place to book a table in one of the cozy booths and enjoy a breakfast or brunch. It really is a little gem of a place with some wonderful staff serving.

Booked afternoon tea for two vegetarians-food brought out had meat and fish the first time. Sent back and explained it should be vegetarian when they brought it back out it still had the fish so sent back again and explained vegetarians do not eat meat or fish and the third time it was brought out it was vegetarian but we were disappointed with the selection as instead of having different sandwiches they were all egg.

Beautifully restored station building converted to a cafe. Staff were very professional, pleasant and helpful. We attended a retirement party held here and the buffet was delicious. Great event location

My brother has learning difficulties. He’s about to turn 74. He loves food, not that you’d know to look at him, and trains so what better place. A few of us booked up for breakfast. In our party we have veggies, gluten free and carnivores. All were catered for beautifully. The lady serving us was wonderful. She spotted my brother’s delight at all the railway memorabilia and gave him a book on steam trains. He was thrilled with it. We’ve been with friends and with granddaughters. All of love every minute of our visits and we’ll be back again without a doubt. There’s lots to see too.

A great location offering delicious food, with welcoming and friendly staff. Spent an enjoyable lunch time there. A good place to take children too as there are one or two train themed attractions on site that kids seem to like.

Excellent venue for breakfast, lunch or evening meal. Happy, friendly staff and interesting, clean and comfortable surroundings. Well worth a visit, even if it’s just for a cop of tea.

This place is a hidden gem that we didnt know about until recently. My little girl is train obsessed and we happened to find this lovely little place. The staff were so nice too and we stopped for cake and hot choc. We will definitely be back. :)

Always a great experience here!! The playground has grown and the venue has opened up to weddings, christenings, baby showers etc. A lovely, feel-good, working station. The scones are huge and very delicious. Recommended.

Called in for Sunday lunch last week. We all had the roast beef potatoes and veg in the Yorkshire pudding. It was excellent. Hot and well presented. Plates were also hot. Will be coming again. The team were excellent.

Lovely little place. Staff really nice and attentive. Couple of interesting lagers which for me were great. Had the queen's tipple on draft which was good too. Snack selection was rather limited but the scone was tasty. Toilets clean.
