Brilliant Jiu Jitsu school. I take my young girl for her classes and I train in the adult class. Always friendly, helpful and informative. The kids classes are amazing for children mixing self defence with sport Jiu Jitsu and every day values for self betterment. Professor Mark loves what he does and has YEARS of Martial Arts experience. I've trained in various martial arts since I was a child and I know a good school when I see one. Love it. Come join in. You won't regret it.

World class coaching with a welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for a BJJ gym in the Manchester area that priorities technical proficiency, a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and two outstanding professors (Professor Mark and Professor Prem), who truly care about their students, then look no further. From the moment you step inside the gym you can feel the positive energy and camaraderie amongst the students and coaches. Everyone is welcoming and friendly, and it's clear that the gym is a tight-knit community where everyone supports each other and wants to see each other succeed. Never bet against a person who just keeps showing up.

Amazing experience! If you're interested or what to get started these guys are the place to go. Incredibly friendly, warm, welcoming and guide you through the whole process. It's a humbling experience but you learn a lot and quickly. It's fun and an unbelievable workout for an hour.

If you are reading these reviews, it is possibly because you are thinking about giving this a go but you are hesitant or nervous for some reason. Don’t be! The school itself is a safe and welcoming environment with a diverse range of people that attend classes, and there is a strong ethos that everyone gets better together. You will get all the help and support needed to learn and more information will be shared with you than is humanly possible to take in. I have benefited in so many ways from joining. 12 months ago, I’d done no meaningful and regular exercise for years, had all the wrong habits you can possibly have, overweight, unfit and pretty much rock bottom in terms of physical and mental health. Since starting at the end of February I’ve gone from a resting heart rate in the 60s&70s to resting heart rate in the 40s & 50s, lost at least a stone in weight and feel fitter and stronger than I have in 15 years. If you’ve thought about it, stop thinking about it and go for it!

Great place my youngest daughter goes here for jiu jitsu. She loves it. I've been a fan of combat sports for years and know of the gracie name and the prestige that's comes with it. Further update I also attend. Would recommend to anyone looking to take up a great sport/self defence. Oss

Great club, my son loves it! Didn’t think he would engage at four years old but he’s really focused and gets excited on the days he knows he has training. Fantastic place - the trainers patience, explanations and general attitude is something else!

Fantastic gracie barra gym In Manchester where it is very welcoming and has a great atmosphere for all levels and ages, Professor Mark is one of the best coaches I've came across in bjj and is a massive credit to gracie barra.

This place is like my second home. Where my second family live. If you're interested in getting fit abd learning how to defend yourself through the art of Jiu-jitsu thia is the place for you. Gracie Barra Trafford Quays embodies the jiujitsu for all ethos and truely delivers this to its members. The moment you walk through the door your greeted as a member of family and the instruction is shared amongst the team, of which is highly skilled in the art. If you fancy a challenge or if you want to get fit and learn something new this is the place for you 🤙 oss

The atmosphere is great, everyone is welcoming and friendly and it feels like being part of a team. The coaching is excellent, everything is broken down clearly, classes are fun and there is a real sense of achievement at the end of a class. Experienced members are very supportive of newer members.

Fantastic place to train Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I have been part of the school for many years and the school is especially amazing for beginners who have never done bjj before. The amount of new comers who become really good at bjj is really high. Not only that but the environment and culture is just amazing. The teaching is well balanced with technique and sparring and nothing is rushed.

Cannot beat it, I have been doing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for nearly 2 years. It has majorly helped with the arthritis in my spine, it's a very friendly, loving and caring 2nd family, and could not fault it one bit, Professor Mark Elliot goes above and beyond for all students from 4 years old onwards, and provides a range of classes to suit ages and needs.

🫤 I intially reviewed the gym as 4 star, as with swimming it does represent good value, however after using it for a few months i feel the need to change the review. The gym is filthy. If you go to the windows at the front of the gym right now as i write the review there is a layer of grime over the...
