Karina and Yojan were such fun guides. I loved all of the local details and knowledge they shared. The family atmosphere made me feel so comfortable right off the bat. It was a special treat to see all the baby animals on their ranch!

I went on the 3 days horse ride in the valle sagrado and it was one of the best tours i ever did. The horses are beautiful and well trained passo peruanos. We were riding every day arount 5-6 hours. The landscape is incredible and we visited Maras, Moray, Salineras, Chinchero and many other places. Yojan has a huge knowledge about the valle sagrado and it was very interesting to get more details about the life of the farmers and the Inca ruines. The first night we spent in a small comunity called Mizminay. The people are super friendly and welcoming. I recommend this ride to advanced riders who want to experience something unique. For beginners i recommend to do a shorter ride.

Just amazing place and very kindly family. A place for enjoying, feeling the landscape and mountains up from the safety horse's. I really recommend to book a horse tour. Great!

If you're a horse rider I wholeheartedly recommend making the time to ride a trail with these guys. I did the 1 day Salt Pans and Moray complex trail and it was amazing to experience those sites via horseback rather than a coach tour or hike. (Tip from my mistake! If you've got a ticket that let's you see multiple sites in Cusco/Sacred Valley, take it with you so you can go into Moray and see the site in full.) If you're not experienced, give it a try anyway! They have shorter rides you can do, and they make the difficulty clear on their website. The horses are wonderful and well trained, and the experience of the Sacred Valley from horseback is one I'll never forget. Many thanks to Kate and Amelia for making the day great fun, and the welcoming hospitality of everyone at the ranch. Next time I'm in Peru I'll definitely be doing a multi day ride here!

Horrible experience. If you already know how to ride and don’t mind a rude tour guide, then you should be fine. My advice, take your money elsewhere for a better experience. I was in a group with one experienced rider, we had specifically told the guides that the rest of the group, myself included, was not experienced with horses. He went at a very fast pace, I nearly fell off my horse a total of no less than 3 times, the trail is uneven, full of uphill and downhill slopes. I told him I needed help and he responded by telling me I was riding the horse wrong. Of course I was riding it wrong, it was my FIRST TIME, I don’t see how I could magically learn to ride it correctly on my first try. He gave very little instructions, was rude and short tempered with everyone and barely stopped to take pictures or answer questions. It’s a small business run by a husband and wife duo, the husband is the only guide so you can’t try your luck and hope for a nicer guide. Overall it was terrifying and horrible, I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Please, please take my advice and go elsewhere.

After carefully reading reviews online for all Horseback Riding Tours in the Sacred Valley area, we noticed that Hacienda DeL Chalan was at the top of the list. We (Wife & I) selected a full day riding experience, to Salinas and Moray. It was a breathtaking sightseeing experience, In regards to the trail for all of you out there. One of a kind throughout mountains.!!! Horses are well taken care of and the tour Guide was the owner himself MrYojan, he is well versed on the animals and has won tournaments. Just read all the notes on the website, if you want a one of a kind experience, this is the place. Ask all the questions you might have before the tour and it will go as smooth as possible. PD.. be honest in regards your experience, if you have no horseback riding experience say so. You could get hurt or hurt the animals. Have fun and be safe. Hacienda Del Chalan we will be back soon. Thank you MrYojan and Family.

We had a wonderful day ride including Maras and Moray and it was a really special way to see the Sacred Valley. The horses were also absolutely gorgeous and it was a real treat to get to ride them and experience the unique Peruvian Passo gait. Yojan shared lots of interesting information about the are and we spotted many birds too.

I went on a day long ride with Yojan, and it was amazing. The horses are well cared for, lunch was good and the ride was peaceful through the Sacred Valley. Yojan is a knowledgeable guide and very friendly. They set up my transport to and from the stables and my hotel in Cusco. Everything was seamless. I would caution not to take the whole day ride unless you’re an experienced rider and used to spending that much time in a saddle. It’s a long day of up and down. I would ride with Yojan again anytime I’m in Cusco. Definitely recommend.
