(Translated by Google) Sensational place where nature gives the cards. Water birds of various species parade and land for videos and photos. It is even difficult to describe what it is like to be on the banks of Laguna de Rocha. Captured images are insufficient to convey the beauty and strength of the place. There is practically no structure there. Very few people. I could even tell! Totally the way we wanted to be! Just the sound of birds and the sound of the pond lapping on the shores. Time there seems to stop... (Original) Lugar sensacional onde a natureza da as cartas.

Beautiful place but as most things in Uruguay not perfect. You'll see signs, protected preserve. However, there's squatters on the bay side for about a mile. No sewage so it all ends up on the lake and lots of trash. Also no one to monitor the entrance to the park just a road, so no way to limit the abuse or the jeeps on the dunes.

For a break from surfing I did a stunning hike to Laguna de Rocha, a nearby wetland nature reserve boasting more than 200 different species of birds, and saw the threatened Chilean Flamingo. *****

If you pass by Laguna de Rocha on your trip, make a detour because it is very beautiful. The lagoon is separated from the sea by a sandbank. It's just great to walk lonely on the really wide sandbank, on one side the Ocean and on the other side the lagoon. The nature is so untouched there, I had the impression that very few people visit this place. It must also be said that we traveled to Uruguay just before the high season. On the way back we met a shrimper. And on the beach we unfortunately discovered a dead turtle.

Lugar super tranquilo pra levar a família toda.
