I went for the January vegan afternoon tea with a friend and had a lovely time. The food was absolutely delicious! The cafe is not usually vegan, but they do hold vegan afternoon tea events and they sell vegan cakes and other suitable menu options as part of their normal menu.

A lot of coffee shops these days market their 'passion' and the 'quality' of their coffee but at Elements this came across authentically. The staff were so friendly and really knowledgeable about what coffee I might like to try. I went for their guest coffee that they change every month. It is honestly the nicest coffee I have had since I can remember. Highly recommend and cant wait to return and try the waffles!

We visited for coffee and cake after the Derby half marathon. Really lovely cafe. The coffee was delicious and we we were given a choice of the brew we would like. Small details but the milk jugs were very cute! Great service and we had a friendly chat with the owner. The carrot cake was delicious. I would throughly recommend a visit

Excellent artisan coffee - up there with the best of them anywhere! Proper home-made carrot cake (though they do run out of cake in the afternoon sometimes). Nice warm lighting and at times, a mellow cool music in background (though last time it wasw just the mainstream - keep it cool, guys, makes a difference). A nice menu too! Reasonable prices, especially their coffee and cake deal, given the quality!

Quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Food selection of food and drink, and the person working front of house was courteous and friendly. I'll definitely be going again. I've previously enjoyed the Ruben sandwich and the Mediterranean veg + goats cheese potato.

Lovely place! Really friendly staff and great food and coffee. Also felt very safe being there, staff were wearing masks, there’s cleaning regularly and took our names and details for track and trace :)

Had a wonderful experience today. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, wonderful decor and well lit interior, a fantastic community HUB offering a meeting room for hire and the food/drink was to die for; excellent value for the quality of the food. I don't even live in Derby, but when I come back to meet friends, this will be my meeting spot during the day. I can't recommend this venue highly enough.

Elements hands down serves the best coffee in Derby. After living in London, it's so nice to get a coffee of a similar high standard. The owners are extremely passionate and knowledgeable about food and drink and if you're up for going out of your culinary comfort zone, they can help you find something new to try. Locally sourced produce means you can feel good about eating there - the bacon from a local farm is something else. Cakes are lovely and the waffles are definitely worth trying. They've also started hosting events in the evening such as a socially-minded spoken word evening and a weekly tasting menu pop-up - it's an exciting community resource for Derby.
