This is the best Indian restaurant I've been too in Norfolk since leaving the Midlands 26 years ago. So happy we finally got to for my birthday. The food is amazing, the staff are polite, friendly and very professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We will definitely be returning again and again, this is my new favorite restaurant. Genuine, authentic Indian fine dining. Thank you to all the staff and the chef that made my birthday meal so special.

We were on holiday in the area and decided this looked like a nice place for our last dinner before returning home. It did not disappoint! We were very impressed with the atmosphere and the attentive service. The food was excellent and there was a satisfactory gap between courses so we did not get overwhelmed. We highly rate the place and felt there was an air of elegance and pride by all those who worked there. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a lovely evening!

As a indian food critic, wanted to check the quality of the food, with the my son and daughter. Was really impressed with the flavours and freshness of the ingredients of the food, very well banaced. Would highly recommend visiting this resturant for a meal out with friends and family and you will have a great experience.

Always wonderful here. The service is amazing, attentive, thoughtful and efficient. Friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. The food is always top quality, tasty, well made, we had a large party and all the food was served together. As you can see from the pictures the birthday girl was treated to a special starter ( on the house). We brought along a birthday and the staff were more than happy to bring this out, sing and cut the cake for us.

Awesome food, incredible dining experience and the owner Giyash and his team are always exemplary- advisable to book or you may not get a table!

Seven of us ate at at Tamarind on Saturday and it was mostly a pleasant experience. We all had starters and mains and food was served in decent time. Some of the service was a little flat but on the whole staff were friendly. The main issue I had was with my starter, I ordered Tandoori Monkfish which when it arrived was cooked well but the fish was very flakey so I suspect it wasn't actually Monkfish, shame as all the other food was tasty. I'd have taken a photo but I was also enjoying the drinks menu.

Having been a regular customer for a number of years I do feel things are slipping. They are still employing staff who ignore females at the table and only deal with men present. Not in the 21st century. Call a halt to this discrimination of customers. You are better than that. The food is the main draw and fortunately that didn't let me down. Fresh and tasty. However, You may want to put a carpet cleaner over your floor soon as it's definitely tired and grubby. This is something maybe women notice more than men. Goes without saying I'll be back for the food primarily and the white table clothes.

By far the best Indian in all of Norfolk! Have dined at Tamarind so many times and wouldn't choose anywhere else. Amazing food, very attentive staff and relaxing yet luxurious atmosphere 👌

Excellent service and food you can tell that the restaurant is good as it was full but this did not affect the food or the service.

A truly wonderful meal. Service was outstanding from the minute we walked in until we left after the meal. The flavours on the meat platter starter were amazing and the meat very tender. The mains were packed with flavoursome spices. The spice heat level was spot on. The chilli and lemon rice was aromatic and spicy hot. So much so I had to order a mango lassi to help calm the taste buds down. The lassi was easily one of the best I've had. Starter, poppadoms, chutneys, 2 pints kingfisher, 2 mains, 2 rice and a lassi £72. Quality to service to taste made this a truly great value for money meal. It's easy to see why they are so popular and have won awards. Highly recommended.

Lovely treat for my mum in law. Great, rounded flavours in the vegetarian meals. Leaving was difficult for mum though, as some selfish customer had parked right up to the entrance/exit and she had to squeeze past the car, whilst using her stick. She's very unsteady on her feet and it caused her some anxiety. No way anyone in a wheelchair would have been able to get out.

Bland food , not the best curry , had much better quality from Some takeaways . ok atmosphere, decent service . Unfortuately we would not go again even though its handy location for us as we live in Blofield. But I think others are worth the trip.

One of the best Indian restaurants around Norwich. Very friendly staff. Awesome tasty food with lots of choices. Also Bangladash specialities. Beautiful presentations of plates. Very clean (also the toilets). Reasonable prices. Really a place to come back.

Excellent food and service! Well served! We were brought poppadums with a chutney tray for an appetizer. I had Jaipuri Khazana with mushroom rice and Sag Aloo, potatoes with spinach. My guests had chicken Tikka Masala with rice and Tandoori chicken wings. Heated finger wipes were supplied to us. Only issue, my guests did not care for the wine and I thought my Ginger ale was a little flat. A waitress was a little brusque when I didn't recognize the poppadums and asked what it was. I have not been to an Indian restaurant in decades. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was prepared to our requests. It was served in hot iron pans. Inside was very nice and my guests said this is the best this building has looked for a long time. I recommend a visit.

I have been a regular at the Tamarind for a number of years and it has never once been anything other than exceptional. The food in particular is the best I've found locally to Norfolk if not much further afield. I encourage you to try it out for yourselves and I can safely guarantee you won't be disappointed.

First time visit to Tamarind. Satnav was spot on to the location. There is plenty of off street parking outside the restaurant. Greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. Not too busy at 6.30pm. Tables spread out so it felt very comfortable. The menu was full of very appetising dishes at equally reasonable prices. The main courses were cooked to perfection and tasted superb! I would have no hesitation in recommending Tamarind Fine Indian Dining!

So much potential but sadly lacking in execution. And when the customer wants to order their starters 'now', it's not a good idea to refuse because you think it is better to do it when you want them to. Lovely poppadoms, starters good, main couses very ordinary. Sliding scale unfortunately and have had better for less £££ So, 'meh'.

This is one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time, service excellent, despite being full, food beautiful , nothing to complain about from anyone, and for me a very hot vindaloo which was very hot, fabulous. I never tip, but I added 12% to the bill, because everything was so good. Will dine here again

The service is impeccable, and the setting clean and well maintained. The menu seems quite "standard" but the food delivers quality all ingredients seemed fresh and well prepared. Portion size was fair. There are other Indians around the area that are cheaper but not sure any are better. Look forward to returning.

We cannot give the Tamarind enough praise as the service was great and so much choice on offer. Can not vault the meals we had and of course the staff were very friendly and willing to make our evening a great one. The restaurant was set out for covid and the tables were well apart and made you feel safe.

A one off visit during our vacation. The meal was prepared with fresh ingredients and delicate sauces. I had one of the house specials which was slow cooked lamb shank in a unique sauce...really tasty. The restaurant is well finished internally and a real gem in the small Norfolk village of Blofield. I hope I get a chance to dine their again soon. Thanks for your efforts in making this a pleasant dining experience, keep it up. Colin.

We have had a take away and sit down meal at the Tamarind. Both meals were superb. The staff are very welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always delivers a fine Indian dining experience. The owner made a point of coming to our table to apologise for the large number of takeaways being collected and gave the ladies in the party a bottle of wine as an apology. To be honest we had not been inconvenienced or even noticed... a lovely touch though

On holiday so booked without knowing area, was easy to book a table online, fabulous food, waiting staff were amazing, chatty and friendly. Would definitely recommend highly

Wow sums it up. Very friendly greeting. Very attentive and charming throughout. Had all the good touches that set a place ahead of the rest. The chutneys set the tone and the mains were outstanding. We had Tamarind specials, the like of which I've not tasted before. Exceptional from start to finish. It has raised the bar a couple of notches for when I compare others.

Had an enjoyable dinner here with my partner. A very warm welcome as you enter this buzzing, friendly restaurant. The food is above average and the service is snappy and courteous. Some interesting chef's specials on offer. Worth a visit.

Food was nice, but a little slow to get out. That being said we were quite a large group, and the staff ensured we always had drinks. It was a birthday and they were happy for us to bring our own cake.

The food at Tamarind was absolutely delicious! Our favourites were the Ceylon Paneer and the Garlic chicken, but everything we ordered was so tasty. The service was excellent and the restaurant looked lovely. We ordered a takeaway this time but we will definitely be coming back to eat in next time!

We visited Tamarind as a party of 4 people, 2 adult couples. Initial impression was very good, lovely looking place, classy decor, very clean, tidy and organised. The staff were attentive. As the evening went on, the experience lived up to our first impressions. Excellent menu, great food, friendly waiters and a bustling but not overcrowded setting. The only criticism I'd make is that the aircon was a bit cold, even though it was very warm outside. We found it chilly. We'll definitely return, the best Indian we've visited in the area for sure.
