We were 4 people, each one ate and drank and it was brilliant! The grilled chicken is fabulous, french fries are super (very large portion) and I definitely recommend the peruan dark beer Cusquena, it is sweet and savoury. Also try the chimichurri sauce (because each main dish comes with a big salad!).

This was recommended by our Airbnb host and we’re so glad we went! The food was yum with generous servings. The staff for were friendly and genuinely having fun with you. They gave us a free shot of Algarrobina to try and it was delicious! Also we forgot our takeaway and they ran after us with it, so sweet!

What a fabulous find! This small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant serves traditional Peruvian food and does it very well. By the look of the number of delivery drivers picking up dishes this restaurant is well known amongst the Peruvian ex-pat community. I have never eaten Peruvian food before and I was enchanted and delighted. If, like me, you are not familiar with traditional Peruvian food then this restaurant is a delightful place to get your introduction. Not only are the recipes authentic but so are the ingredients. I thought that I knew Corn until I tried the Chef's El Andino which contains individual kernels of Peruvian Giant corn. The individual corn kernels are very large, plump, almost Broad bean or heart shaped and they tasted delicious after simmering in light oil with a touch of some spices This demonstrate so well how delicious simple well chosen ingredients can be when cooked to perfection. The El Andino is not some vegetable side dish to accompany a main but a meal unto itself. I could have stopped eating after this dish but I had already ordered the Pollo a la Brasa, which is featured widely on the menu. The Chef's use of traditional and authentic ingredients also shon through in the Pollo a la Brasa. This is not some force fed, battery hen but rather a flavourful bird that has been raised in an outdoor setting and eating a number of different, natural foods. I again did not recognise the spices used in the marinade but the combination of them with the crispy chicken skin barbecued over traditional coals made this a memorable dish and it was obvious why it features so heavily on the menu and in signage on the front of the restaurant. I had the quarter Pollo a la Brasa (Pierna) and it was an excellent choice. Flavourful and not at all fatty. My last enjoyable choice for this visit was a drink called Lima Limon, made in an old style cocktail mixer that sounded a bit like a jet engine on take off but produced a delicious, thirst quenching drink. I will be back to try other dishes on the menu here as I am sure that they will be as equally delicious as the ones that I had tonight.
