Rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but I guess you can't expect much more from a hostel in the middle of the city. Ladders to the bunk beds were not attached onto the beds and seemed therefore somewhat precarious. The personal light in each of the beds was somewhat painful, because it was just a bare lightbulb. Staff is really nice, and otherwise a pleasant stay. Only such minor inconveniences, would definitely stay there again.

DONT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! If you’re a cool human, travelling alone and want the best social experience in the big smoke of Madrid; stay here only. What it doesn’t have in luxury (nothing is dirty or run down but it isn’t flashpacking) it makes up for in attitude, smiles, helpfulness, and good vibes. DO IT!!!

Excellent hostel in a great location with plenty of private bathrooms, not one but two amazingly complete kitchens (we even found an emulsifier), and very clean (cleaner than some hospitals I have seen). The hostel is literally right outside of a subway station and a 5 minute walk from Plaza del Sol. The staff was excellent, even providing free sangria each night and offering some eggs in the kitchen when I realized I had bought hardboiled by mistake so I could make an omelet. Free breakfast of coffee and churros was a great perk. The six person dorms were a comfortable size, with great storage lockers that slide under the beds (so much easier to use than the vertical lockers a lot of hostels have). I especially liked the privacy curtains that wrap around each bunk bed, and the beds were comfortable. The hostel also has a locked closet for storing luggage during the day before and after check out. Very good accommodations for a great price.

The rooms were big and clean. Privacy curtains and big lockers. Outlets, light, and shelf in each of the bunks. Receptionists were outstanding, very helpful, kind, and attempt to know everyone by name. Located within walking distance of everything I wanted to see, this is really a wonderful place! It was personal and homey. I would definitely stay here again :)

Met a friend here on his recommendation. All the staff were super helpful and friendly; they also organized tours and pub crawls. Most days (maybe all) a chef came in and served 2€ bowls of paella--perfect before going out for the night!

Amazing experience at way hostel! You will get to know a lot of people here and also the staff is really friendly and helpful. You can join a lot of activities to get to know Madrid or to party a little😉 the only thing I recommend you is to always keep an eye on your stuffs and to bring earplugs with you (the hostel is really centred and the street around are not really quiet at night).

Recepcionists are lovely. There is free cofee and breakfast in the morning. Very nice location. Super comfortable rooms with curtains in the beds, two plugs and an individual light. Baths are also very clean. Super recommended will be back for sure!!

BE CAREFUL WHILE BOOKING. I booked at a non-refundable rate however due to glitches in Hostelworld, my card was declined and the payment wasn't processed. The hostel sent an email stating 24 hours deadline and then without offering any forms of payments or links, cancelled the booking and did not reply to any emails I sent asking for how to pay with another card. And this happened twice. The hostel is not replying to the emails and not returning the deposit back claiming non-refundable rates.

Nice and helpful staff, clean and quiet rooms, great free walking tour with Erika, and walkable, safe location. On-site washing machine and dryer (detergent provided). Good base price. Remember to bring your own towel, and go out for tapas and drinks rather than paying 10€ to eat in.

Rooms are tidy and with good space to keep stuff under locks. Beds are also with good thick matress and drapers for privacy

Comfortable, clean hostel in an excellent location with friendly, helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen, unfortunately my food disappeared from the fridge on three occasions despite being labelled

Great price, good amenities, impressed by the kitchen. Very social, rooms are what you would expect from a hostel, pretty decent. Would recommend to any backpacker.

As others have noted, the facilities and location are very good - the kitchen, the common area, the baths and the beds. My only complaint is that the common area closes at 23:00 and the kitchen closes at 24:00, so there are no options inside the hostel if you are not ready to sleep.

Every city should have one such hostel. Delivers on its promise: decent beds and a clean shower. There's a communal kitchen and the usual travellers that invite you for a pub crawl upon check in

WONDERFUL. Staying at this hostel is much more than booking an accomodation: it's an experience itself. It's like a family, they really make your day. The people are amazing and the place is really nice!

It's a very excellent hostel, I love how clean were the beds, kitchen, showers and bathrooms. I would highly recommend to come to this place. They have a nice living room or lobby, where you can meet and talk with people from different countries and cultures. The price really worths it. One more thing, this hotel is located very close to the Sol, which is like in the middle of Madrid City, so I can say, Very excellent location. Tourist from New Zealand 🇳🇿♥️

Nice place and good location, but I heard so much noise at night

The front desk is extremely helpful. A great hostel vibe. Kitchen, lounge, baggage storage. They recommended I store my bags at Ecigarillos (200m away) for long term. 2 weeks. Easy to meet people. But of a downside is are the beds don’t have drapes. But I might trade that for a great hostel atmosphere.

It has everything you expect from a hostel. Very good price for its central location. Rooms are clean, lockers are provided, staff are nice. They offer social events and common areas. Just the toilets could be cleaned more often.

The staff was great in every way: friendly, helpful and a understanding. The hostel itself is nice, but the staff make it wonderful! Defenitely check it out, it is a really cozy place with great people and free breakfast churros. What more do you what?

I'm really blown away by the hospitality of this place. I arrived in Madrid sore from my travels, and they let me check in early, *only because they knew the bed was ready and the other guests were awake. The rooms are clean and well cared for. The staff at the front gave me a map and a detailed overview of the city. The location is great. The fellow travellers warm and friendly. Really glad I happened to stay here!

great hostel, i really enjoyed it. Patricia was fun and helpful. She guided in where to go for gyms and let me practice my Spanish with her. She should be the manager of this establishment. The girl from Switzerland was nice and friendly too.

The best 'way' to stay in a hostel. Employers are friendly and polite. Rooms were so clean. If you want to have some fun and need a rest also, this is the 'way'.

I had a really good experience in the Way Hostel on April. The stuff was super nice. After I left, I noticed that I had lost my jacket. When I called they had already stored it and I could arrange a pickup. Thank you very much for your help! I will definitely come back to this hostel next time I am in Madrid.

The experience in the hostel was just as I had read in the reviews that made me decide to stay there in the first place. The most beautiful thing about this hostel is the super friendly staff force. The staffers are always willing to help and were proactive about their help giving hints I really found useful during my short stay in Madrid.

This place was Amazing! The people at the front desk were very friendly. They spoke many different languages which was very beneficial to tourists from different areas of the world. They also had 24 hour desk service which is amazing. I had to catch an early flight the next day and it was awesome being able to have someone who was willing to help during the early hours of the morning. They also give out maps and tours if you wanted to go sight seeing in the area but I couldn't go on the tour. I got there late! Anyway, I had an awesome experience. The only problem was trying to get a good night sleep. People were coming in at different hours of the night which was hard for me to get good rest. The people that were showing them the rooms were a bit inconsiderate as well, turning on the lights and speaking loudly (even at midnight). Besides that, I had a great experience overall and will do it all over again but get a single room next time (if that option is available).
