The location is good, rooms are small but pretty clean. The staff is nice & friendly. The cost was affordable & the bed was pretty comfy. However, the noise coming from the hall & other rooms was super annoying, there is no noise insulation it seems. We could clearly hear what people from the adjacent room were saying. When they showered it was the worst, it sounded like a waterfall inside the room. Too bad I left my score & review in Booking & the staff contacted me on my private number to ask me to remove it. Say what? This goes against GDPR, I did not give your permission to contact me at all after my custom. My opinion is based on my own experience & I don't have to delete the scoring I have given you, neither to raise it just because you say so. And we are talking about an 8 here, not a 5. I was kinda happy with the experience despite of the noise but now I am not. Instead of contacting customers privately asking them to delete their comments or scores why don't you just genuinely check with them to find out why they gave you such a score & what you can do to improve if you are not happy? Your lack of empathy & greediness is beyond shocking I am afraid.

We had no issues during our visit. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The hotel's location is excellent, close to all the tourist attractions. They offer two bottles of water and a small bottle of wine. You can always ask for teabags. Thank you.

OMG what a gem! On one floor of a gorgeous building right on the Gran Via, this little hotel is clean and cute and convenient. I booked it, incredulous of its exceptional rating on Booking vis-a-vis its low price, and must say it did not disappoint. Super friendly staff is the icing on the cake.

Basic hotel but you get all you need with a comfy bed and nice room temperature. The lady at the front desk was the best hotel receptionist I have ever had. Excellent value for your money. Would stay there again. Only downside is the wifi did not reach our room.

Have to be paying attention otherwise you'll pass right by it on the street. Located on the 4th floor of the building (there is an elevator) The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. However, there is not much soundproofing between rooms. AC must be controlled as a whole and one morning it must have got turned off because it was suddenly really warm. Good location to walk to lots of sights. Only downside is no fridge so we often visited the store across the street. Quirks: buzz in to enter the hostal when you get out of the elevator and you can not take the room key with you

very central and perfectly located for visiting the city, straight above the metro Callao. Personnel very kind and professional. Hotel is fully renewed, i had a back room that was quite despite the location.

Room had a gran via view, tidy and clean, bed not comfortable, hostal on 4th floor, small lift.

Small hostal is the centre of Madrid, amazing staff,so helpful, and close to everything.

Amazing location, kind staff who were happy to provide me directions to the airport using the subway. The room was clean and well equipped, just the right size for one person. The only downside is that the walls are paper thin, when my neighbor turned on their TV it could be heard in my room. I turned on some music to drown it out so I could sleep.
