Such a beautiful church right in the middle of the city. Not being religious we were more interested in the architecture and art and we weren't disappointed! The Spanish do this all so well and we enjoyed spending time taking in the atmosphere and appreciating the cool (it was 40C outside!). It's great that places like this exist outside of the main tourist traps.

Beautiful (but small) baroque church in Madrid. Well maintained and cared for interiors. Watch out for pickpockets lingering and looking to take advantage.

St. Michael, Pray for us ! “Small can also be big” This is a smaller basilica but it’s big in religious atmosphere. Very solemn and I really liked their Nativity scene, it presents a cultural story on the birth of Jesus.

Beautiful basilica. A pleasant surprise amongst the busy cafes surrounding this area. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

It is a beautiful old church. The stained glass windows give the effect of being blue inside. I always try to see the church every tome I am in Madrid.

One of the smaller Basilicas in the area, but it's so, so beautiful. The baroque architecture and beautiful old paintings left me speechless. It's a beautiful stop if you're in the area to just sit for a minute and take in the beautiful art on the walls and ornate decor.

A beautiful basilica. The domes are beautifully painted, many statues and golden elements throughout the place. A very calm and peaceful place without many tourists.

excellent style and good express its own time's encessaries. also, the stylish of the building tells us to think medieval times ruotins, however, it's construction time is in post modern time period from our current time.
