😐 First, I would like to say thank you for offering us a space to study. But I believe there is some aspects that needs to improve: - If someone leaves a desk and a new person wants to come in, they won't allow you to get inside for "covid reasons". Even if the library is empty by 5pm, they won't let... People often mention library, study, biblioteca, para, good, Madrid, security, water, time, access,

First, I would like to say thank you for offering us a space to study. But I believe there is some aspects that needs to improve: - If someone leaves a desk and a new person wants to come in, they won't allow you to get inside for "covid reasons". Even if the library is empty by 5pm, they won't let anyone inside because the desks were not cleaned. - The security scans the backpack. But we are not allowed to bring the bagpack to the desks. We need to care everything in our hands. Why can't we just bring the bagpack if it was already scanned by security? - They don't allow us to drink water in the study area. We have to walk 50m to go to our lockers to be able to have a sip and come back to the desk. It's just water..... - there is a "research floor" where most of the time has empty desks. It would be good if people who need to study could have access to it. - closing time between 2 and 3pm - first time I see this happening. Again, it's great to have a space where we can study in peace. But it would be great to have improvment in these topics. kind regards,

(Translated by Google) Library wonder. Silent and ideal for studying and very well located. Just one snag. They do not let water enter and with the heat it becomes heavier and that the air conditioning is good. You have to be hydrated and concentrate.

(Translated by Google) My friend and I took our tfg there in the middle of summer and with a heat wave in Madrid, blessed air conditioning! The library is very nice, with a lot of books (which is a pity that they are not lent), spacious tables (on the ground floor), plenty of plugs, comfortable chairs, good Wi-Fi and good air conditioning (wear a jacket that even in summer fresh!). The workers are quite friendly but the whole security protocol is lazy (they don't let you put your backpack in and not even the laptop with a case, or water...) It doesn't close at noon and it's also very well located. It usually fills up!! So it is advisable to go as soon as it opens, and try to get your researcher card, since you have preference and more chances of getting a place.

(Translated by Google) I have been a researcher for more than ten years and I have been to many libraries around the world where I have not been as expected as in this one. It is very sad that one of the most beautiful and silent places to study in Madrid has this access system in which I have sometimes had to wait more than an hour to access a desk. The man who attends has hardly any motivation. I could be more smiling. Likewise, security personnel also leave much to be desired. That said, too bad!

Very nice library to study, quiet and roomy. You need to register to get the library card, which can be done at the entrance. Bring a 1€ or 50c coin to use the lockers as you need to leave your bag there and only bring in the study room what you need to study (laptop, books,…). There are Wi-Fi and electric plugs.

(Translated by Google) The Library is very good, the people in charge of reception polite and friendly, it's fun. The but, an elderly lady dyed blonde on the top floor who seems not to be aware that the library is not his but we have all paid, as well as his salary. This lady is allowed to call attention to people in the outer corridors of the reading rooms while she chatter jokingly with colleagues and on the phone. A blur in a magnificent site.

(Translated by Google) To enter it takes about 15 minutes due to all the security protocols they have, on the other hand, they do not occupy even half of the available places and that there are no longer limited capacities anywhere in the Madrid community. They also do not let you pass with anything, not water. More than a library it looks like an airport. In addition, you can only use the upper floor even though the lower room, much larger and more spacious, is completely empty. I got off one day of the week, and because it was supposedly for researchers, a man in a white coat came to kick me out, because he prefers the room to be empty than for you to study there, without disturbing or making any kind of noise. The library is beautiful, but I don't understand such an exaggerated protocol, as it only makes it difficult to use.

Personnel doesn't speak english. They don't allow bags and the locker area is so small that you can't even unpack without 10 people walking through you. Don't bother with this library

Clearly not foreigner-friendly. Just wanted a place to work/study, the guy at the entrance says it’s full and I have to wait but as you can see in the window there are a lot of available seats. Not very good.

(Translated by Google) Huge library, with a great catalog and friendly staff. But with an absurd management of the space, supposedly by anticovid measures, they do not fill even a third of the room. In this photo you can see that there are many empty chairs but according to them it is all full. They need to adapt to de-escalation and provide facilities for access to culture and information. A disaster when management.

(Translated by Google) It is an absolutely beautiful library, silent, with quality Wi-Fi... Without a doubt my favorite. Of course, if for whatever reason you like to stay hydrated... It's not the place. They don't let you download anything to be able to drink and supposedly you can't drink at the fountain due to covid regulations. They also give priority to researchers, so if you are (and like me, you don't seem so), don't forget to let us know.

Why are their curators having conversations in the library? Are they not aware of the basic rules of a LIBRARY?

Super unfriendly if you dont speak spanish to the guards. They tell you that the entry is somewhere else and play dumb on you. If you are a student who needs to write thesis they dont care, you are not allowed to enter. Tax maney well spent for erasmus students. Great public service. They dont let you down even when you speak spanish to them afterwards. Realy bad experience, sadly its state owned so noone will ever care.

The library and its staff are amazing. However, not being able to put a small bottle of water in seems like an absurd rule to me, since it makes you have to get up to drink and disturb the rest.

I love this place. Very tranquil place to study on a Friday afternoon and the security guard was super friendly and helpful when I was having trouble with my registration. Yes you have to leave food drink outside but it is easy to understand the reasons for this.

My wife and I were able to acquire or access cards and enjoy the Library's incredible structure as soon as we got there. Higly recommended for study and academic research. Very good security measures and professional staff as well.

One of the best libraries in Madrid! Probably the most remarkable thing is that there are catalogs and analytical reviews of exhibitions, so I found an analytical review of 150 pages, exhibitions of the 90s and the target group that visited this exhibition. If you have some time to find specialized literature on artists, their lives and work, this is exactly the place you need. Below I saw reviews that there are rules, yes, I recommend taking one coin for the locker, because the administrator may not have them and yes, you may have to wait for some time in the lobby, but it’s really worth it if you know that you are interested in art. See you! :)

(Translated by Google) It is a public library and as such the staff is either an underpaid official or subcontractor. Expecting pleasant treatment from officials is from overly positive people. I read a lot of negative comments about the site, which is an injustice given the success of the site, since it is almost always full and it takes 30, 40 or 60 minutes to wait. The site has wifi, which does not mean that it works well. I recommend carrying a phone and sharing the network with your PC or device. They don't allow bottles to be put in, which is normal in a library. I recommend taking a small bottle and hiding it. The books on the site are not very appropriate to go to study or consult: a lot of photography and architecture. The bookstore is filling in charge of budget.

(Translated by Google) For me, an essential. The atmosphere you breathe is very good to concentrate. Large tables with plugs and good lighting. The breaks in the inner courtyard or in the surroundings allow you to take your snack and disconnect and buy something. It has its own lockers (don't forget to bring € 1). To access you need to have the library card (easily removed from the web).

The man behind the desk does his job rather strangely, and it's clear he didn't want me to use the library for a few hours. First he told me that the library is just for students to study and work, as if I looked like someone who wanted to play soccer there. She then told me I could fill out an online form, but the library was full at the time. However, there were plenty of seats available. I got the impression that he didn't like me because I am a foreigner by race.

What in principle was a good option for those who do not have the resources to study, going to this library, unfortunately has become, as usual, a kingdom of taifas for supposed "researchers." Free access is restricted for the poor of resources since the capacity is excessively limited to the general public and these supposed researchers have most of the room at their disposal, and their chairs are empty waiting for their innkeeper researchers to come. We are going to begin to put order in these types of organizations that, with everyone's money, are managed like Elizabethan farmhouses, by gentlemen who are possibly more efficient in manual work than in administrative work. We will raise the complaint, perhaps the echo will reach those responsible until now. Thank you very much for your time.
