I highly recommended the byu art museum as it is one of the most prestigious art museums in the America west. And it's free! It was way cool seeing these vintage art pieces rather than seeing them digitally. Way cool!

This is probably the most interesting museum I’ve ever visited! There weren’t many visitors when I arrived, so I was able to take my time navigating the museum. Both entrance and parking is free but you’ll need to enter through one of the campus entrances. The exhibits were eye catching, interesting and educational. I highly recommend!

I absolutely love this museum. Parking is easy and they have a big lot. The building is gorgeous and bathrooms are clean. The exhibits are nice and I really love primal forces.

Definitely a place worth visiting if you are in the area. The presentation (lighting and spacial placement) in this museum was very well done. The pieces themselves were obviously quite stunning and the location was really easy to access

You’d be sorely mistaken to think BYU’s art museum only houses religious and Western art (though it does own one of if now the largest collection of Maynard Dixon’s work). There’s currently an Anselm Kiefer!

Such an excellent college art museum. Got to see “Of Souls & Sacraments” and there are some beautiful paintings that depict many Christian events and specifically the life of Christ.

Went on a date here and had a great time! Not a huge selection of art, but beautiful and quiet. Also, it’s free which makes this a five-star experience. A wonderful way to spend an evening/afternoon.

I like and enjoy this place. It is free, always has several good exhibits. Apt for all audiences, I can go with my kids, and grandma too. It get us something to talk and share with each other. I always learn something new and have several ah, wow! moments. Spiritual to all levels.

I was completely mesmerized by this amazing exhibit by Patrick Dougherty. The woven branches with windows, doorways, and hidden nooks created a sense of childhood wonder and magic.

We always love a good visit to the BYU Art Museum. We went with the purpose of going to see the Maynard Dixon exhibit at the museum. We love Maynard Dixon. We have been going to the art museum for the last several decades since we were students at BYU. We like taking our kids to see quality art pieces. The Maynard exhibit has many of the art pieces it had in the early 2000’s exhibit when I first saw Maynard’s work. It is so blue and bright and fantastic. I grew up in central Utah so the views are so familiar to me and my memories of going to southern Utah so often in my life. In particular the piece “Forgotten Man” resonated with me not because I lived in the Great Depression era but because I have experienced getting let go from my job in my lifetime and that was a difficult experience and trying to figure out how to move forward in my life. We have also loved the numerous exhibits. Minerva Teichert, Norman Rockwell, Religious art. The art museum store is a little gem that we often like to get prints and other pieces to take home.

Pretty campus and lots to see and do. We took a few tour with our high school students. Touring on your own you can visit the science building, art museum, eat at the Wilkinson center and more!

Extraordinary! Brigham Young University’s art museum has to be one of the best in the Intermountain West. While I went for the Maynard Dixon exhibition, the quilt exhibition entitled Primal Forces blew me away. Here’s some images from both shows.

This museum is free! Which is such a rare treat for museums. They have amazing exhibitions year round, beautiful paintings by various well known artist, amazing sculptures, and so on. The building is beautiful as well and there are exhibits upstairs and downstairs. They also have weekend events with live music and snacks, and at nights where guests can do projects. This is definitely one you should check out and check the recent schedule so you don't miss anything!

It is free to go in and has places that you can deposit a donation if you would like. They currently have a large display downstairs called souls & sacraments. It is amazing! Religious themed art from around the world from modern to the Renaissance.

The MOA is a wonderful art museum. It's completely free to visit and browse and they cycle through unique collections relatively frequently. The last time I went they had a pop art exhibit including art by Andy Warhol. In addition to great art and a cute little gift shop, there is also a cafe above the MOA (called the MOA Cafe) where you can get delicious sandwiches or salads during the cafe's hours. If you live in Provo or around Provo, there's no excuse not to visit the BYU Museum of Art. The MOA also has a fun scavenger hunt program. Every once and a while when a new collection comes in, they organize a scavenger hunt where you hunt for the painting that have little details from the scavenger hunt pamphlet. Once you find all of the paintings featured in the scavenger hunt, you can go to the workers at the MOA front desk and get a prize. It's a really fun date night activity.

Really enjoyed the new exhibit, A Studio of Her Own, showcasing BYU's collection women in the Art world in the past century+. The museum app isn't actually available yet so plan to read the art labels just like we always have!

We visited the Museum of Art as part of our vacation. They gave the kids an Art Search which helped them look at and understand the pieces in the collection. It gave us a chance to see all of the exhibits and enjoy the conversations and time with our kids.

The art exhibits are amazing. Very moving and beautiful. The staff on the other hand is quite rude and definitely put a HUGE damper on my experience. I will be coming back, but I’ll hope staff will have better a better reflection of BYU attitudes and values.

Looking for a free date idea? Look no further. So many different styles of paintings. You will have fun talking about masterpieces, Americana art and fun french posters.

This is a surprisingly beautiful art museum! The displays rotate between various styles and topics. Be advised that the this is owned by a church, occasionally one of one of the features exhibitions will be centered on that. It is open to public but it was a bit tricky to figure out where to park. The gift some has some cute items. General admission is free!

We visit the MOA about once a year, and we're always glad we did (and of course, it's free!) The current exhibition of Vik Muniz works is wonderful, my kids loved to see all the unique ways/objects/mediums he used. A great example of creativity that helps expand your perspective and see things in new ways. And they always have some good exhibitions of religious art, which give an opportunity for reflection on more explicitly spiritual topics.

After dark at the Museum was wonderful. Especially with hundreds of students, treats, tables to sit at, other soft benches, singer, with a guitar, new exhibit. This is was a great activity for family and students. Best free event in the area.

The art was absolutely incredible. The painting of Jesus at the Waters of Bethesda was breathtaking. Additionally the Cafe had exquisite mac n cheese. So yummy and well worth the $8 price tag. Came with a bottled water too! If you're in Provo be sure to visit.

A great place. So beautiful. A roommate had his music recitation there. That was the first and only time was there. It was a great experience for me. A really nice place to be in.

Even though it’s a pretty small museum, there are a lot of hidden gems here. The rotating gallery is also nice since they update their main collection every 6 months or so. Free entry is also super nice.

Great things about the MOA: 1. It seems like it is always open. 2. It generally has very few people and it is a very free-roaming environment which means that you can go and see the art, or just go nestle down and find a quiet place to think 3. The art is always changing 4. It has a delicious cafe 5. It is free

This is a fun and free venue. The content here is always uplifting, looking to make the world a better place through inspiring art. They also have events from time to time. Be sure to check out the outside if you are here on a sunny day. They have a small water feature around back and the trees are just beautiful in the fall! As you can see from the picture taken from the back :)

The museum is BEAUTIFUL! They always have such excellent exhibits on display, and great food (though small quantity) on the upper floor. You'll have to go downstairs to see most of the exhibits, but they're worth the walk. I would recommend making sure to visit when you know there's an exhibit you'll like to see, but your visit will still be worth it even if you go just to browse.

Amazing artwork from modern artists to the classics. They rotate through various sacred and secular themed showings and I've never been disappointed. Plus, it's free. On Friday evenings they do a date night for the college students often featuring love music and refreshments.
