We were in Salt Lake this weekend and needed to go to Southtown Mall to do some shopping. After the shopping we were hungry and decided to check out the food court. While there was some of the usual mall dining like Sabaro pizza and Panda Express. So we decided to try something new and Arempas was it. We have never tried Venezuelan food so this would be a first for us. The server was very helpful in explaining what items were the best and what went well with each of the items that he had named. So we tried the empanada with ground beef and potatoes. This is kind of like a hot pocket but with a ton more flavor. I should have got a few different one but wasn’t sure how they would warm up. You will see on the pictures that it was stuffed will filling. It was crispy and had a delightful crunch. Cachapas was cool. We got it with carne asada which very well prepared and tender. We tried the Cachapas by itself to get a feel for the flavor. This was like a ground corn pancake that was slightly sweet. Then with the steak it took on a very different flavor that was soooo very yummy. The server had given us some garlic lime sauce and that gave it another flavor profile that took it over the top. We are so glad that we tried this place. We will be back again so that we can try some other items on the menu. If you are in the area and want some great food try some of their different locations.

Delicious! We got the pulled pork and fried pork cachapas. Fast service with fresh food. Delicious flavor. Definitely going to be stopping here again!

Wonderful food!!! You wait a minute but it is made from scratch and to order. It is worth it. Staff is very friendly. It is in a mask food court but worth coming to just for it. I will be back

Sensational food. Made fresh to order. Perfectly fried, excellent flavors. It takes a second longer to get your food than the other options but I PROMISE it’s worth the wait. Give them a shot.

We got the Shredded Chicken Empanadas & they were amazing!! Being gluten free it's always hard to find new food I can eat and they're menu was gluten free friendly!!! So if you're looking for something good to eat come here!
