Biggest scam ever. This is the definition of instagram vs reality. Paying $340/night for the most basic tent setup seems like we were played from the start. Unfortunately we were literally posted in the parking lot and had heavy foot/car traffic starting at 4-5am around our tent. The high way noise is mind blowing and relentless. Our view was one of two options - highway semis on one side or the gravel parking lot on the other side. Lovely. For the price this is a sick joke - honestly if it were free you couldn’t even find us there. We were excited for this experience but it was not as advertised. It’s clearly just a cash grab in a particularly bad location. The staff themselves were nice however. We were booked for 2 nights but left immediately the first morning - fortunately the manager on site was understanding and refunded us for second night.

Such a unique and special experience. Beats a hotel for sure! The tent was comfortable and with the wood burning stove, super toasty! The service was excellent, staff very polite and helpful. Sunrise views over the Moab desert were phenomenal. A bit more expensive than staying in a motel, but trust me, well worth the extra money for the experience...I mean, why even be in Moab to begin with if it isn't for the experience!

Other people’s 5-star reviews on Under Canvas Moab site makes my 1-star rate look bad and unkind, but l just like to share the truth of my experience. My family of three were on a road trip from California and saw the beautiful pictures on its website. We chose a king tent suite for over $1,000 for the night. As a family, we have done many glampings in Safaris in Africa, Sahara Desserts White Oasis and jungles in Asia. So we are experienced in outdoor camping and understand what to expect from “glamorous camping”. Upon checkin at Moab site at 6:30pm after a long haul driving , the first thing the staff told us was there was no meal service even though there was a bbq pit etc. The only food they offered on additional charge was some snacks. We were too tired to drive to town so we went to bed empty stomached. But that’s our choice so no blame on them. Entering the tent, it had a king bed and private bathroom quarter, but it was no suite tent. My child’s tent is completely separated from mine, with no wash or toilet facilities. His twin bed was laid closely against the tent (canvas wall). I was so surprised because I thought I had paid $1000+ for a family suite tent. To that, the staff replied that I had been mistaken. When I pointed out that my tent was very close to the highway, he told me that he’d come back and move us to a one in the back, but he never came back. And this turned out to be a disaster later in the night. Turning on/off water, holding the faucet wire on /off with one hand or another … are all part of the camping eccentricities, and considerable actions for the environment, I understand all that although nothing glamorous about it. But I’m not going to complain. Then came to the sleeping time. The amount of noise from the highway traffic was deafening to say the least. There was mountains right in the back. They should have pitched the tents at the foot of that so the mountain walls can serve as a buffer zone for the gust winds and traffic noises. Outdoor camping is about tranquility and stargazing, isn’t it? The Moab site offers none of these. In the middle of the night, my son ran into my tent because the canvas wall of his tent kept slapping into face and head. We all got up and then I saw the earplugs on the table. My god, so they knew this place was noisy. Otherwise why on earth should they provide the earplugs? But they didn’t warn us! Nobody did even when they helped drop off our bags into our tent. We stayed awake whole night and couldn’t wait to leave as soon as the day broke. I love thé concept of glamping. And I believe they are doing a great job marketing. But it is a shame that they are not doing what they say or show on pictures. The gold standard of doing hospitality business is honesty. I’m so sorry to give one star but I truly wish Under Canvas do a better job.

April 4th we checked in to be told that our toilet and shower couldn't be used because of the 20 degree temperatures the next 3 nites,Their plan b was a community shower house that you couldn't drive up to and the no pressure shower was ice cold!!! Our handicapped room that we booked way ahead was not available !Free snacks were not out in the early morning hours before we left to go see the beautiful scenery . The concept of a more cozy camping experience was mediocre at best with only a comfortable bed as a plus . The staff is courteous but these cold water issues need to be fixed immediately !We are not the only one that has taken a cold shower if it was 80 out maybe but not 40 degree weather! During the day surely the water could be turned on from 12-6 pm when it was 40 degree temperature outside ?. Primitive campgrounds have a better bath experience for less money . The highway noise is also not a plus make the next one farther out in the desert . Hopefully the owner will fix these issues before the next big holiday is here .

First time at under canvas. My sister recommended it and I can’t say enough good things. The employees were responsive. Bring your own food for cooking, booze, and drinks. Make sure to take advantage of the sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing you won’t be disappointed. If you go here in April, be prepared for potential high winds and cold weather. Special shout out to Seamus!! Thank you so much for ensuring that with the camp fire we didn’t completely smoke ourselves out and giving this girl confidence in her wood fire skills even though we had a smoke situation on night one. Your kindness and responsiveness were very much appreciated! Overall, fun experience and would do it again!

Absolutely love this glamping experience. The tents are beautiful-we stayed in a deluxe Safari tent and were impressed with the hot water and clean bathroom units. The view overlooking the vast expanse of desert and seeing Arches off in the background was spectacular. The staff was so attentive to our every request and made a point to keep the experience special. I can’t wait to try more Under Canvas properties and spread the word on this great experience.

We had the tent with the shower and toilet. The water was not scolding hot like I've read in reviews. Unfortunately, the chain shower was not the greatest since i an shirt and you have to really pull hard. The chain actually broke, but my husband fixed it so i could finish my shower. bed is super comfortable, has nice furniture, and is spacious. They had a complimentary pack n play for our infant to use. The front desk staff are super friendly and helpful. The snacks they have are overpriced. I gave it 4 starts because of the price but if money wasn't an object, I'd definitely stay there again.

It’s been a few weeks since we stayed here so have had time to reflect on our experience. Personally I think it was one of the most underwhelming and overpriced accommodations I have ever experienced. We stayed for 4-nights at $560/night for a glamping tent with private bathroom. Once you’re checked in, that’s it, there is no room service. We had to ask for fresh towels, bedding and toilet roll, sometimes queuing for 10 minutes at reception to get help. We had no water for the first night and it wasn’t fixed until the next day (they offered a 50% discount for the first night). Showering with one hand because you need to hold a chain down to draw water?! No electricity in the room, but USB style batteries are provided. The only source of heat was a log burner which couldn’t be used in high wind because the smoke came back into the tent. Not nice going to sleep breathing that in! The location was average at best. Just outside Moab with no real view and just off the main highway. All in all bad experience and would not recommend at this price point.

3 stars. Concept is nice, staff is good, location and overall views are amazing. Price is ridiculously high. 980$ for 1 night (1 main room, 1 kids room). You have to put wood logs every 2~3 hours to make sure room is warm in April. Kids room do not have heating source. I understand it is camping but then pricing should be reasonable. No onsite dining, not enough fire pits. The place is not worth overall.

Interesting concept but way overpriced. Despite the nearly $700 we spent for one night, this is still definitely camping with a few nice amenities. The king size bed in our suite was comfortable and the pillows were nice. We had a beautiful view out the back deck. It was extremely hot though during the summer. The battery controlled mini-fans in the tent turn themselves off after 10 min. The “misters” described in the tent are just in 2 tiny streams in poorly placed areas, that turn off when the temperature gets down to 90 deg. The kids tent (separate tent approx 10 feet away from main tent) did not have any windows and the heavy winter flaps were not able to be tied back so it was extremely hot for my children. I did end up calling their maintenance department who was able to find some magnets to sort of stick them back for a little while. They do provide earplugs, as you are able to hear Highway noise all night. It is nice having a private bathroom but it’s not the quality I would expect for $700. The water in the shower was freezing in the morning - it is all heated by ambient air. Everything is on a pull chain (have to continuously pull to get any water out). Be sure to bring your own food and drinks as it is extremely limited what they have there. They sell kombucha, other teas, oatmeal, bags of chips and ice cream sandwiches. There aren’t any grab and go meals as described on their site. The nearest food in town is about 20 min away and nothing can be delivered. Overall an unique experience, but not worth the hefty price tag.

Everyone was very kind and helpful and very welcoming. It was a little warn, but you're camping in July so it's kind of a given. We opened up the vents on each side and with the cool breeze at night and slept like babies! Would go back 100%!

I got the best sleep I've had in awhile here. The employees will help you out anyway they can. For the rooms being tents it was an amazing experience, and the view was amazing. I've never seen so many stars . Me and my wife had the best time here. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Under Canvas for an amazing experience.

The place is great! We enjoyed our stay. The tents are really big, nice and comfortable. There are great spots to seat with the family next to the bonfire with tea (peppermint tea is the best!) and S’mores (which are complementary). Some issues with tents: 1. They aren’t isolated well enough - in addition to the temperatures, during strong winds they become a bit dusty. 2. The temperature of the showers can be controlled by the staff only, which causes weird showers (you try to communicate with the staff during shower). The major reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 stars: the business claims to be green and ecological - there is a weird trick in the showers to save water, restoration areas and more. Nevertheless - all the beverages are offered with disposable utensils. If the business see this review - I would like to get your comment (maybe I’m missing something and it is better for the environment).

This was absolutely worth the stop on our road trip. The staff was so kind & helpful. They delivered a cooler of ice to our tent & even moved a fire pit in the grilling area so we had our own to enjoy. S’mores makings are given out at night & everyone was just wonderful. Our dog loved the grounds & it was so fun and relaxing. Wood burning stove kept the tent cozy at night & our own bathroom was well worth it.

What an amazing experience under the stars. Under Canvas will be a first choice when visiting a national park. I got engaged on this trip and Angelica and Jess made our experience even more magical. Thank you to all the staff for your warm hospitality. Will be raving about this place to all of my friends and family!

We had a lot of fun, staff was super friendly. Food was amazing, our tent was really luxurious, and that was 95, and we slept with fan on, and we ended up using blankets, because it made our tent really cool. I see a lot of bad reviews, but people need to understand this is “tent”, and it can’t be as cozy as hotel room but this one is definitely far from a regular tent. Overall it is a nice experience, I would recommend it to everyone.

We just stayed one night. It was excellent. We stayed in a King tent with a private bath (21). We thought it was quiet and we loved the feeling of sleeping in a tent without sleeping in a tent. I will admit we had perfect weather. It was only 80 during the day and dropped to 45 at night with very light wind. We thought the bed was super comfy and the sunrise was absolutely beautiful. We would stay there again!

Under Canvas Moab was lovely and absolutely magical! The beds were the highlight for the whole family. Comfy doesn’t describe it….perhaps “Luxurious” would be more appropriate. My children stayed in their own tent with three twin beds and slept like babies! They used the community bathroom facilities and were comfortable with the amenities and cleanliness. My partner and I splurged for a king with full bathroom. Everything was wonderful, but the water was scorching hot!! When we checked in we were informed that this was a possibility, but it made washing hands and brushing teeth basically impossible. I woke up at sunrise after our second night and enjoyed a very hot, but not scorching, shower. My partner opted to use the community bath before heading to bed for night two, and he agreed with the kids that it was clean and the water temp was just fine! We would love to return for the experience, but next time I might save a few bucks and trek to the community can! The staff was awesome, the area was convenient to town and absolutely beautiful! I’m so glad we chose this experience, and now that we’re broken in, I look forward to exploring other Under Canvas locations.

We had a group of 13 for a girls trip! We stayed for 1 night and had the best experience. The tents are large and very cute and comfortable. We used the public girls to cook dinner and then enjoyed the free smores afterward! Overall a 10/10 experience and we wished we had stayed longer. Already planning a girls trip to Under Canvas Zion for next summer!

We stayed in the deluxe tent with the separate children’s tent and it was fabulous. The whole set up was really cute. They have extra blankets available, and they work hard to ensure that their guests are comfortable and it was a unique experience that we won’t soon forget.

It was our first glamping experience, but surely not our last. Under Canvas is unique. It’s being in nature, but in a king size bed! Very close to Arches which is a plus too. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

We loved this place! It is such a lovely setting and the skies are night were incredible! We enjoyed sitting by their fires and listening to live music and sitting on our own little deck with a glass of wine in the evening. We had very busy days in Moab and slept amazing at night We even slept with the little window open (for air flow) and the highway noise was not an issue - it was more like a white noise. The staff was very friendly, but most of them seemed new to the area and were unable to answer some questions about local attractions and food. But, we had cell service so we could quickly find out the answers. Definitely recommend this unique glamping experience!

From our Honeymoon in 2018, this place was like a slice of heaven. Quiet, peaceful, and adventurous. Wonderful activity resources available. We booked their canyoneering and it was EPIC and a great tour guide. All around, great vacation and wonderful memories to cherish. We went in August, note that it gets cold at night!

Clever concept and would be really nice if the following was addressed. It is glamping of the lowest standards. Basically it's having a comfortable bed in a tent instead of sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. No other better amenities if compared to regular camping in a tent. In fact I've had better water pressure and hot water in regular camping grounds. Was not happy taking a cold shower. Also it's right on the highway so you have the CONSTANT sound of trucks and cars. Also because the tents are of heavy duty canvas it traps in the heat and you will feel like you are in a sauna until 11pm or whenever it starts cooling down. They offer little fans like the ones you put on your dash board. Totally ineffective. I just assumed due to the very high rate that the tent would have AC, like in other glamping tents I've experience in Africa. The staff are very sweet. I think though if you're paying more per night than the Hyatt you would expect the bathrooms to be cleaned more frequently, and breakfast would be nice. I'm sorry but this place is way overpriced.

Don’t tell anyone… this is a fantastic place to stay in the fall. We are generally not hard core campers, so this was perfect for us! Running water in a tent? Yes, please. The staff is amazingly friendly, always helpful, and available 24/7. The views from the campsite of sunrise and sunset are great as well. Admittedly, it is a little close to the road, but it’s just about the right distance so that the white noise is pleasant, and makes travel into town very convenient. Love it! Thanks a million for the pleasant stay!!!! 😊

Under Canvas Moab was like nothing I had expected. It was great. The surrounding mountains were so beautiful. The tent i stayed in was great, although they could have had better pillows. The town was only a ten minute drive and had many places to eat and shop. The attractions( such as The Arches, Dead Horse Trail and Canyonlands National Parks) were also only a few minutes away from Under Canvas

My mom and I have stayed at the Moab location a few times and we absolutely LOVE it!! The staff is so kind and very knowledgeable about the area. The tents are very cozy and the fire is key! We will definitely be going back and hopefully explore the Yellowstone or Bryce Canyon locations!

The property, the staff, the lodging, everything is incredible. We don’t even want to leave. We were greeted by Doug who gave us a nice brief review and sent us on our way. S’mores and fire, comfortable bed… amazing view in the morning. 10/10 ✨✨✨
