After entering the Emergency Room at Lakeview Hospital, I was diagnosed with COVID19. I was very ill and suffering an elevated body temperature and sick to my stomach. The assigned doctor and nurses, worked diligently to save my life. My lungs had to be asperated (twice) because I had vomited into my lungs causing pneumonia and I could not breath. If it had not been for their quick actions I would have died because of the lack of oxygen in my lungs. I am totally thankful for their ability to keep me alive. After the ER care, I was hospitalized in Intensive care for 5 days and received excellent care from that point forward until my discharge Betty Stokes

I had a wonderful experience at this facility! I had an outpatient surgery done in January 2022, and from the moment it was booked I was impressed with the hospital's communication, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Everything was quite seamless! The outpatient surgery center was very clean and spacious, and I was allowed to bring a visitor, which was comforting. We wore level 3 surgical masks provided by the hospital. Three wonderful nurses helped take care of me, and it was with their compassion and nursing care that I was able to pull through surgery well, and with less anxiety, overall. The first day post-op, someone called to check in on me, which I also appreciated. Needless to say, it is my impression that Lakeview Hospital truly cares for their patients and their overall experience at their facility.

Our nurse Mike was fantastic. He was so personable and kind. He explained the timeline of events that would take place during my afternoon stay, and he explained everything he was going to do, as well. The physical therapist and the occupational therapist were patient and helpful and full of great information for me. Those who brought in our meals were polite and friendly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

The walls of Lakeview Hospital are lined with pictures of employees completing the following sentence, "I promise..." As I walked the halls, I had the opportunity to read a number of them and was impressed by the individual commitment to providing a positive, caring experience for patients. As I left the hospital after my test, I felt that they had absolutely completed their mission. Each employee I encountered was prompt in assisting, kind, helpful, and went out of their way to serve me and get me where I needed to go, even walking me to and from different areas of the hospital. I was so pleased and appreciate my 5 star experience.

The entire staff was pleasant, professional and very accommodating. The hospital was exceptionally clean and had a calm atmosphere. The surgical staff was friendly, comforting, prepared and well organized. The anesthesiologist came to my room prior to surgery. He asked some questions, ensured I was completely comfortable and made sure my questions were answered, as well as if I had any special requests. The surgeon (Dr. Russell Todd) is the best in the business. I highly recommend him.

The nurses and doctors here were amazing. Seriously every nurse was so nice . The other staff like the ones I was paying my deductible to were a different story. Very hard to get a hold of and didn't seem to understand English that well.

Came into the ER for an injury after a fall at work . Upon my arrival they didn’t even render basic first aid . No ice pack, didn’t even look at the injured area . They went straight to X-rays and offered Tylenol or ibuprofen leaving me in pain entire stay. Upon discharge still didn’t give me an ice pack after I asked for one, gave me a sling but didn’t offer to help place it on or explain how to use it ,left it in the box. The note for my job said I could return to regular duties even after I explained my occupation . I have to ask them to rewrite it to accommodate my needs for light duty. No bedside manner. Horrible experience!

Had our baby delivered here and I loved it. If I'm having more kids, this will be my hospital to go to for all my kids! The staff and everyone here are amazing. They treat you, your baby, and your partner with respect and kindness. They don't force you into one or the other when it comes to breast feeding vs formula. It's all what you feel comfortable with and they support you with all your decisions. They even had a cute little "date night" celebration meal after the birth with table & chairs set up in your room with a "candle light" and everything. One of the nurses even personally knit our baby a hat <3. Overall I loved the entire experience <3 <3 the anesthesiologist Jeff did amazing as well. He listened to our comments and concerns. The nurse holding you motivated you as well. This hospital is good for first time moms/dads and even if it's not your first

I am so happy with my experience delivering my first child. I loved all my nurses and even though it was a long day for us it felt like everything went so smoothly. My nurses were all so great at advocating for me. They coached me through contractions as I was getting my epidural and were my cheerleaders while I was pushing. After my daughter was born everyone was so patient with my husband and I who are newbie parents and helped us build our parenting confidence before we were discharged home. Dr Porter, Dr Miller and all the nurses were just fantastic and I wish everyone could have a labor and delivery experience like ours.

I called for a screening appointment for a mammogram a couple weeks ago and without insurance they do a demographic analysis to calculate cost. Today I received the results in the mail and I called to set up an appointment. The receptionist asked about whether I was showing certain symptoms which could be signs of breast cancer and I answered 'yes'. She explained that she could not complete the appointment because having symptoms requires a diagnostic mammogram rather than a screening mammogram. This is totally understandable and up until this point I was fine with her answer but she started becoming rude toward me and scolded me for not having gone to a primary care doctor about these symptoms. I explained that I had mentioned these symptoms to two separate doctors in the past but neither of them felt it was necessary to seek further testing. I wanted to cry, her tone and treatment toward me was hurtful and degrading. This has been so stressful and the last thing a person needs is to be talked down to.

I am writing this review for my Mom. She had a great experience in the ER on Tuesday of last week. On a normal basis she doesn’t like to go to Lakeview but she gave it a try because it was close to home. She was surprised and very happy about the recent remodeling of the hospital. The changes are very noticeable and appealing. She was especially impressed with the fact that each partition in the ER had a door that closed. This allows for patient privacy and comfort. The staff was very friendly, and attentive to her needs. She will not hesitate to return to Lakeview Hospital again rather than making the long trip from Farmington to Ogden Regional which is also an awesome Hospital!

I was pleased at the professional care at the radiology dept. and all other persons. I was a little worried at the time I spent alone in a room without a nurse's call button. Didn't get a phone that I ask for to call my kids. The ER was very busy.

The best surgical experience I have ever had. The staff was over the top amazing. I felt more like I was in a spa than going into surgery. I was comfortable and the communication was amazing. My husband had questions and everything was made easy. Took the stress away from a normally stressful situation. Thank you Lakeview for the quality of care you give.

I had never been to Lakeview Hospital, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arriving for my surgery, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised to see such a welcoming atmosphere. From that initial impression, everything continued to greatly impress us! I have had three joint replacement operations in the last 3 years at three different hospitals (NOT by choice), and I can tell you that this hospital had by far the friendliest staff and nurses. I probably interacted with at least 20 nurses during my overnight stay, and every single one, without exception, was kind, polite, attentive, and helpful. Nobody made me feel like I was harassing them when I had to ring my bell throughout the night for assistance using the toilet. I prefer to be as self-sufficient as possible, so it was difficult to ask for help, but I appreciated so much the willingness to help me and to make me feel comfortable whenever I needed it. In addition, a few nurses visited with me for awhile in the middle of the night when they could tell I was stressed out. My surgeon (Dr. Clinton Wooten) was absolutely amazing! I will recommend your hospital to anybody who asks. Thanks for a wonderful start to my recovery!

Lakeview has some excellent nurses and doctors, and I do not wish to paint everyone at Lakeview in a bad light. However, our experience Thursday, August 17th. We went to the ER at Lakeview in Bountiful around 7:30PM. My son had a severe injury to his toe, the toenail had been ripped off, and it was bleeding profusely (which is why we went to the ER). While waiting to go back, my son's wound was so bloody, it was dripping through the bandage we came with - no one seemed concerned. Another person in the waiting area asked the receptionist for someone to bring out some more gauze - which they did. But still no real concern. Once we got back, rather than put pressure on it to stop the bleeding, my son sat there with a little piece of gauze draped over it for at least an hour while the blood dripped down his foot. The dr (without cleaning it or examining it closely) said that part of his toenail was still there (it was not), and that he didn't want to clean it because it was "self-irrigating". He then talked about his own toe nail for a bit. Then he said, "If this were my kid, I would just dress it. There's no need to clean this." He also took an x-ray and said it was broken. They put a bunch of gauze on it, gave him a post op shoe and sent him home. He said to follow up with an orthopedic dr in a week. Again, I stress, no one cleaned the wound or examined it closely to see exactly where the blood was coming from. Instead, they just covered it up. My son's toe continued to bleed profusely throughout the night. I knew something was wrong so I took my son to a podiatrist the next day. The awesome podiatrist (Dr. Oaks at the Tanner Clinic) did shots in my son's toe to numb the pain, cleaned the wound, and discovered that you could see the bone - the fractured bone , exposed through a laceration in his toe (where the nail should have been). It was a Salter Harris Level IV, intra-articular fracture through the growth plate - bleeding coming from the bone out the laceration, as well as the laceration itself still bleeding (and then of course the missing toe nail part was also causing bleeding) - which the ER doc may have noticed with his eye balls had the wound actually been cleaned and adequately examined. The ER doc never said anything about the bone getting infected, which is a very real possibility in these situations, did not put my son on antibiotics which he would need even IF he would have actually cleaned the wound (which he did not). I would expect, going to an ER, two things: that they determine the cause of the bleeding and treat it in a way that would enable it to stop. That did not happen. Thank goodness we got to another doctor to actually get medical treatment. He's now on antibiotics and is on his way to healing, but no thanks to the Lakeview ER Thursday night.

I delivered my baby here and it was my favorite hospital thus far (compared to U of U and IHC). The nurses were personable, they respected my space and sleep. They gave us a candle lit dinner and baby stuff. It felt like I was a person not just a patient to get vitals from every 2 hours. Definitely will deliver here again!

I was impressed with those I dealt with at the hospital. They were kind and personable and made my visit pleasant. They were attentive to my circumstances and needs. There was some delays waiting for the doctor, but when he arrived, he was apologetic and immediately went to work. His part was completed quickly and efficiently. My only complaint had to do with the online pre-registration. It may be clear to younger people, but to an 85 year old, it was a bit confusing.

Obviously, if it’s a medical emergency, and this is the closest place to you go here. But if you don’t want to get screwed don’t come here. Went to the ER for my daughter the the person who registered us in either was not listening or didn’t understand the English language. I spelled my daughters name several times and even wrote for them still got it wrong on her wrist band. Before we left they said they would fix it. Me coming for a medical billing background new it would an issue. They said they would take care of it. Surprise surprise my insurance was denying all the claims cause all her information was incorrect called Lakeview to fix it. Long story short never got fixed got sent to collections because Lakeview work with predatory groups Epic Emergency Physicians & Utah Imaging Associates. It’s been stressful and no one is of any help. Stay away if you don’t want to drown in bills that should taken care of.

In ER with 207 blood pressure and dr white said I’m fine. I don’t feel like I count as a person. This is why elderly people I know die when taken to Lakeview ER!! Don’t go here if you care about living, and if you want doctors to be compassionate and care for any soul of any age, color, size, or race. I was in so much pain and he was arrogant and said I’m not in pain, get over it. I’ve never gone to the ER for severe pain before. He made me feel so bad about myself. He told me to stop taking certain meds prescribed by my real doctors. One is for PTSD. He said yeah life is hard. Get over it.

I had a traumatic incident this past week, that started at the U of U health care in Farmington. I was transported to Lakeview Hospital and admitted, seemed immediately into the cath lab to have two stents placed to clear blockage. The medical team in the lab were caring, and walked me step by step through the whole process. Then I was taken to the ICU where Jackie and her staff, especially, Maranda, and Kylie, took care of me. Felt like they really cared about me and made me feel special, but I noticed later they treat all their patience special and like family. They are exceptional, young caring, kind, knowledgeable nurses who love their profession. Then I was told that I had to move to the med-surg unit, a little anxious of the change but soon was welcomed by Rachel my assigned new care giver, felt like friend, she was perfect for what my needs were at this time. I had the opportunity to meet Christina the med-surgeon director, my assigned day shift nurse Michelle, and many of the staff in this unit. They all share Christina philosophy of caring, kindness, professionalism, patient needs first. I felt fortunate to have such caring people through this whole traumatic experience. I hope I do not have to see them in this setting again, but would love to see all again and thank each for giving me a piece of their heart to help me in my healing process. Very appreciative, Thank you, Lakeview Hospital

Overall my experience with Lakeview same day surgery was great! Going in for my first surgery I was nervous and not sure what to expect, the nurses and doctors were all incredibly kind and patient with me. Before and after my surgery, honestly I can’t think of anything they could have done differently to make my experience better. I would highly recommend!

My husband went to the ER with severe dehydration and nausea, after being sick for weeks. We were charged $2400 for less than an hour of time, an IV, and a couple tests. We have been trying to pay the bill for months, successfully qualified for financial aid (since I was a student at the time), called them probably 20+ times for help and it was so unprofessional and a mess. We have a physical letter saying that our financial aid was accepted, then weeks later received the bill in full saying something along the lines of “your bill is not bill enough to receive a adjustment.” So after 9+ months of trying to pay this bill (that we could have paid in full with a one time of $1800 back in the winter), we did not receive the financial assistance promised (I have the letter!!), and we now have to pay $2100, which is $300 more than promised months ago and NO ONE was willing to help. Enjoy your money that I now can’t spend on my child’s healthcare, I am never stepping foot into any MountainStar facility ever again.

I had to go to the ER for possible appendicitis. Lakeview got me into a room super quick and the care was great. All the nurses were very kind and thorough. Dr. Clark, my surgeon was very personable and kind. Dr. Johnson, the anesthesiologist, was excellent! I struggle with anesthesia side effects and didn’t have any with in his care! The surgery nurses were excellent and I couldn’t be more grateful for all they did for me! Thank you to all of you at Lakeview! ❤️

this is the best hospital in the valley if you want to receive the worst care of your life. dr. miles RUINED my mental wellbeing. he showed no compassion or care for the situation; just wanted to get me out and not lose his medical license. there was SO much miscommunication and never did i get a chance to re explain myself despite asking. i am diabetic, was in this emergency room for over 24 hours and only received insulin once. i was also only offered a meal once. i could not sleep for days after leaving because i had panic attacks that i would wake back up here. thank GOD they sent me to UNI where i could receive care and support to help me handle the emotional turmoil this hospital put me through.

NEVER GO HERE! The ER staff are horrible 90% of the time (I've been there 4 times and 3 of those were unbelievably awful!) Notice that most of the bad reviews of Lakeview are related to the ER... Also my niece spent a couple days in their behavioral medicine unit. She insisted to be released after her doctor- Dr. Trump, told her that Hitler invented methadone, only one comment among several others that were completely false stigmas surrounding methadone. My sister explained to Dr. Trump that methadone actually saved her daughter's life and the doctor's response was that she was going to immediately take my niece off of her methadone. Also my father-in-law went here for kidney problems and died shortly after. My sister-in-law went there because she was throwing up horribly and couldn't eat or sleep. It was incredibly bad vomiting, she couldn't eat or even drink water for 3 days before she went in to the ER, and she had gone 10 days unable to sleep. She was told that she had an infection in her heart and that she had a short time to live. She was admitted to the ICU. They advised that she have her closest family come up to spend time with her. Her mother insisted that she be sent to the U of U and the doctors agreed. They said because they didn't have the resources to treat what was wrong with her. She was evaluated at the U of U and it turned out that (READY FOR THIS??!) it was a potassium deficiency!!!!!!!! I have so many more friends and family who have horrific stories about Lakeview! This has been going on for 40+ years! If you have the opportunity to seek treatment at another hospital do everything and anything you can to go somewhere else!

I'm torn between four and five stars. I had surgery here and had a great experience from start to finish. I ended up staying overnight and I felt very well taken care of throughout the whole process. People were very kind in explaining different things to me and they were good with pain management after. I deducted one star because of an experience that I had with the billing department. I received a call a day or two before my surgery asking if I wanted to prepay as it would save me 20% or so on my out-of-pocket cost. I had spoken with the billing department and my insurance earlier to get a quote so I could have an idea of how much I'd have to pay. When I received the call before my surgery from the billing department, they quoted me a much much higher amount than had been previously discussed. I didn't want my surgery to be canceled and I didn't want to end up paying the full 100% if I could pay 80% so I didn't press the issue when I initially told them that that didn't sound right. They told me that if I overpaid I would receive a refund. What I wasn't counting on was how long that refund would take. They wanted to wait until everything had been cleared with my insurance, which is fair, but even after the explanation of benefits dropped and my insurance sent it to them on how much I'd have to pay (a month later) I was originally quoted that it was going to be another 15-30 days before I would see that refund. It was a significant amount of money and in my opinion their own miscalculation, it wasn't even close to what I actually owed (it was almost 10x the correct amount). I ended up calling somebody at the hospital whose information had been linked on previous reviews, and they got it sorted out for me in a timely manner. I'm very appreciative of their willingness to look into the issue but I really wish the problem wouldn't have happened in the first place.

I had a full knee replacement at Lakeview Hospital recently and I could not have been more impressed. The nurses were amazing! They cared for me like I was a friend and made me feel welcome and comfortable the whole time. I wanted to give each of them a hug as I was leaving, they were that good! The anesthesiologist and PT guys were also amazing. Dr Wooten took plenty of time to explain the robotic procedure, joke a little and make me feel I was in excellent hands. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing a joint replacement. I was never left waiting long, the building was clean, and any questions I had were answered completely. It was worth the drive from Cache Valley for the care I received!

Everyone was so helpful no matter what the situation was in. They took the time to listen and provide the best help they could. Even when I didn't have the right words to describe what I wanted, the nurses knew what to do and helped me better than what I wanted. The place is clean. They all communicated so well about my care as well.

I feel so blessed to have the nurses we had during our visit with my dear mother. Laurie, Tazia and Violet were the most compassionate, kind, loving, empathetic nurses we have ever had. We had been to 5 previous hospitals and this by far was our best experience.

Many thanks to the staff at Lakeview Hospital. Every person I was in contact with during my recent knee replacement surgery impressed me with their level of professionalism, compassion and friendly attitude. They even smiled politely at my corny jokes. The procedure was completed right on schedule and even the food was great. Heartfelt thanks to all staff at your wonderful facility.

Wasn't impressed with the ER a few years ago when I brought in a family member. However, I had an excellent experience recently in the OR and spending some in maternity. Everyone was very kind to help me feel calm and comfortable. I felt like everyone who helped me went the extra mile to make it a wonderful experience! Thank you so much!

Everything from pre-surgery to post-surgery was accurate, up front, friendly, highly-competent care at Lakeview. And we've experience medicine at Johns Hopkins! This compares. What a nice surprise, it's a hidden gem. My doc is highly competent and it's no surprise that he chose to perform the surgeries at Lakeview. For outpatient surgery, I'd give this place an A+ all around. The nurses were smart, thorough, friendly and efficient.

Nice, caring, attentive, and intelligent staff! The wait time? One minute and that is each time I had to go there( chronically/severely ill so I can't put a number to my visits). This is a small hospital but as someone who has been to MANY hospitals big, and small as a caregiver, Healthcare professional, and now a chronic patient I can tell you this is one of the best hospitals I have ever been to. My husband has PTSD from all the bad care I have received in hospital settings but when I am here he can truly breathe a sigh of relief. I DO NOT work here, nor am I affiliated in any way with this hospital other than being a grateful patient. Thank you, Lakeview!

I recently delivered my first child at this hospital, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than the one I had. All the nurses are very caring & attentive, they make you feel so well taken care of & make sure you & your baby are being watched over with the best nurses possible. If I ever have another child, I will definitely have them there.

Had a routine outpatient surgery done at Lakeview. I'd heard horror stories since moving to Bountiful about how one should never go there but after receiving some recommendations and meeting with Dr Todd I felt comfortable in his care. The appointment was conducted extremely efficiently, we arrived around 6am and were home by noon for a surgery that lasted about 80 minutes. Recovery and intake nurses were extremely attentive and caring. Anesthesia was phenomenal and I was up moving around and even working (from my hospital bed) less than 2 hours after surgery. My pain level was less than expected 3 days post-op. Highly recommend Dr Todd and the staff at Lakeview.

Friendly and helpful staff! It was quick and easy. I had an MRI and they let me listen to whatever music I wanted and even offered me a warm blanket. It’s those little things that made it a 5 star experience. They had the images on disc already processing for me by the time I exited the MRI room. Thank you.

I had a wonderful experience with the hospital and staff. From Ginger’s class and help with preparation, to Mindy’s help with checking out and departure everything we great. Emily, the prep nurse did a great job of keeping us loose, sharing some sacred and meaningful experiences. All done in a very professional manner. We are fortunate to have access to great hospital services.

I was pretty sick. I had just landed from a work trip and went straight to the ER. I was having trouble breathing, 103 temp my body aches. I was taken right back and to be honest it was the best experience I’ve ever had in a ER. From start to finish. Morgan was my NP and the best, kind, attentive, checked on me and communicated The nurses where the best! Great job!

I’m giving only four stars because of the two items listed that need to be improved. The first item is the most critical. The hospital only has a few areas they need to improve: 1) They need post surgery follow up after the patient returns home to ensure the recovery is still proceeding normally and to answer any follow-up questions. I receive no follow up or contact from the hospital. 2) when giving instructions to the surgery center, make sure that the patient knows to not go to the outpatient entrance. Other than the areas mentioned above, my overall experience was excellent. .My arrival check in and surgery preparation by the nursing staff was excellent. My post surgery and recovery support was also excellent.

The follow up care from the nurse Kari was just as good as what I received in the Emergency room. Many thanks to the entire team which helped me return home so quickly.
