Dr Cavin was polite and listened as he examined me. I wasn't happy about a couple of things which was a lengthy waiting time of nearly 45 minutes and surprised he had not reviewed my ultrasound results before he met with me. It seems that the process of getting property diagnosed and treated is taking longer than it should be in my opinion. I've had issues from last fall that are still not fully evaluated and this is concerning since I suspect I have some serious health problems. I'm still waiting on a biopsy report that's now over two weeks since the procedure. I've not ignored the problem on my end, and I have met with numerous physicians and their assistants. Multiple examinations and tests along with mis-diagnoses have been not so far helpful to determine the cause and proper treatment of my ailments.

Dr Cavin was great. He didn’t feel rushed and took the time to explain things and answer my questions regarding the surgery. His office staff was also very friendly and helpful and took the time to also answer questions. I’m glad I was referred to Dr Cavin for my surgery.

Dr. Cavin is amazing. He saved my life after my appendix ruptured. He is very personable, attentive, professional & communicated very well throughout my entire ordeal. Would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Kevin and staff we’re not only gracious and kind on getting me in a short notice but they were also very knowledged on what I previously had done for previous surgeries. Dr. Cavin gave me good advice To get a second opinion, on the severity of my hernia, and a full definition of what it is from another specialist that he knew, and referred me to.

Let’s see… I have been scheduled for, met with, and this is just a guesstimate, approximately 25 to 30 different Doctors over the past 12 months. Healthcare these days is not like it was in the late 1970s, 1980s, or 1990s. Healthcare these days is extremely difficult because you can’t just go to one Dr. and spill all of your troubles, pains, and ailments. That’s not how it works. Nowadays “we” have “Specialty” Dr’s., for everything. I assure you, due to a plethora of hospital visits, PCP appointments, referrals to different specialty Doctors, unscheduled Emergency Room visits (which with IMC, in Murray, and Lone Peak Hospital, in Draper, remember…YOU ARE ONLY A NUMBER at THESE TWO ER’s) and the like, you get the point, I was BEYOND frustrated. I went from having one Dr. appointment a week to numerous Dr. appointments a day, Monday through Friday, honest Abe. However, (**at this point I’m smiling & fireworks are going off**) when I met with Dr. Ian Cavin, on 10.24.23, I seriously thought that somebody was playing a joke on me, pranking me, because of all the Dr’s I’ve met with/been seen by, Dr. Cavin more than met my expectations, if I dare call it that. Dr. Cavin is one of a kind. First and foremost he has impeccable bed side manners. He’s very respectful. He makes eye contact with the person who is speaking, without breaking away. He’s a Dr. with years of knowledge yet spoke to me in terms he knew I’d understand. I asked quite a few questions. He took the time & answered them all, with details and drawings, as needed. At any rate, I could speak, positively, about Dr. Cavin for another 15 or 20 minutes; there are so many positive things to say about him. I easily pick up on a person’s mood, emotions, demeanor, and/or attitude, etc. Meeting with Dr. Cavin wasn’t just an appointment, it was an experience. A great experience. 😊 I left Dr. Cavin‘s office with a smile on my face and a skip in my step. I’m so grateful that I didn’t pre-judge him, nor his work ethics, because out of all the Dr’s I’ve seen over the last year, Dr. Cavin is a force to be reckoned with. Double hands down, he’s the real deal. I’m lol’ing because although I know this next sentence could never happen (a girl can still wish and dream) but I wish that Dr. Cavin would be the one and only Dr. I’d get to see for every ouch, ohhh, eek, painful joints & muscles, neck, spine, etc. Back to reality, not possible. Dr. Cavin earned my respect and trust on the first appointment I had with him. Honestly, I can only make that exact statement for one other Dr. With that said, I recommend Dr. Cavin to anyone looking for a real, passionate, professional, and purposeful Doctor, that lays it all out for you, states the pros & cons, and allows you to leave with a heck of a lot more information and knowledge than you came in with. Doctor Cavin is the best. He is actually my teenagers surgeon. He is so kind and takes time to talk you through the procedure. He’s understanding and puts you at ease. I would highly recommend him and will be using him in the future if me and my son should need it.

My first impression was my phone call to set up the appointment. The receptionist was so helpful and friendly. Then when I checked in everyone was so friendly and warm. My experience was so good with everyone I encountered, from the receptionist, Medical Assistant and Dr Cavin himself. Dr Cavin explained what to expect very thoroughly and was very respectful of my privacy and safety. He answered all my questions thoughtfully- I didn’t feel rushed or like “just a number”. I highly recommend this office and Dr Cavin. I mentioned the exam room was a bit warm and they turned the temp down right away. You can tell they like working with each other and have a very loving and joking camaraderie. I felt like I was seeing old friends vs a sterile cold environment. Thank you everyone! I had a great experience. Dr. Ian Cavin at the Granger Medical Clinic answered all my questions and gave a clear explanation to what he found. He was easy to talk to. Lydia, his nurse immediately made me feel comfortable from the time she greeted me to the time I left.

I loved Dr. Cavin!! He came in on a Sunday for my emergency appendectomy. I love his beside manner. I had a lot of infection and pain but he came in every day and did everything that should have been done. He prepared me for a longer recovery than I ever thought it would be. I highly recommend him.

Office staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Cavin was understanding, really listened to my issues. I felt very comfortable.

I would not recommend him to do a pilonidal cyst removal. He didn’t get all the canals of the cyst removed. The incision kept opening up and they told me that it would heal on its own. After 14 weeks my son had to come home from his mission to have the surgery redone with a different surgeon.

Dr. Cavin and staff were absolutely phenomenal. I was seen quickly, my concerns were heard and validated, and as a team we came up with a solution. Great bedside manner and fantastic sense of humor.

Went to Summit Urology to see Dr. Cavin with my father who just turned 90 years old about repairing his inguinal hernia. Dr. Cavin checked him out and then told us our options. Just after leaving the office we both said how good of a doctor he his because he told both the good and bad, the risks, and how it was up to my dad to decide what to do. No pressure, just a good doctor doing is job. The office is very good too with helping me set up my dad’s visit and helping me with the paperwork.

I had an appointment with Dr Cavin about a possible Hernia. My previous Hernia surgery was preformed by Dr Cavin. My recovery was almost painless and extremely easy. I have referred several coworkers to Dr Cavin.

First time patient here. Dr Cavin listened to my issues and talked me through the procedure and recovery. Many docs spend the appt inputting info on the computer and not really listening. Dr Cavin was present and attentive. His assistant was great! She was funny and charming and very informative. I was very happy with my visit.
