I was a client of highland for about 6 months. First appointment they asked me a few questions then gave me a mood stabilizer prescription. In one session Lisa told me to start taking more of another prescription I have from a gastroenterologist. She told me to start taking 3x the amount of that drug. Well, obviously taking 3x as much, I ran out of that prescription so I called and left an urgent message to highland that I need my prescription; my gastroenterologist was closed so I was hoping highland could help me out. Lisa previously told me that they could re prescribe the prescription from them, so I felt assured that they could have helped me. Never got a call back. Went a week without that prescription. (Would have been longer but my gastroenterologist helped me out, because he is actually reliable) My last appointment I missed because I thought it was supposed to be a phone call but apparently it was supposed to be on web ex or teleheath. They never properly communicated to me that it was supposed to be that way, very confusing considering all of our prior appointments were phone calls. After missing that appointment I urgently called and left a message asking to reschedule. Once again, never got a call back. Never called to see if I was okay, how my meds were working or anything. I emailed, I called, I texted, I got nothing back. Good thing I said F this and just ditched the meds and figured it out myself. They did nothing to help me, day 1 to that last day. They were no help for my needs. I felt at a loss. I felt nobody would ever help me. Long story short I stopped taking my mood stabilizer medication because I had no way to have it refilled due to Lisa nor her assistant(s) (she had 3 different ones coming and going during that time) never responding to me. I called constantly. I was in a very dark place and I desperately needed their help. They failed me. I will never go to another doctor again for my mental health. Highland Springs has showed me it isn’t even worth it. I’m better off self-medicating, as I have since I was 12. Don’t get me started on how we got charged hundred of dollars per session, with my insurance. $500 bill for telling me to take some drugs and call her later...each time... how classy and professional. I highly recommend you don’t waste your time nor money at this place! They don’t even help you anyways. It was clear they didn’t care about my well-being and only wanted my money. I am disgusted by the way this clinic runs. Absolutely unfair, unsafe, and out of line.

I wouldn’t give this place any more than 0 stars but I had to share. My husband made an appointment for an in person visit with a doctor a month in advance and the day before he received a phone call saying how that particular doctor doesn’t do in person meetings, we rescheduled with a doctor that did in person and we were pushed 3 weeks out, my husband was told when he made the appointment that he didn’t need to do any paperwork until he got there but was notified the day before it was canceled because the paper work he didn’t know about wasn’t done. We called and luckily his appointment slot had not been filled yet so he was put back on the schedule. On the way to the facility 10 minutes before his appointment he got a call saying how they needed to cancel his appointment because that doctor doesn’t work on the day that they scheduled him on. Not sure who to blame here, the doctors or the people working the front desk because somebody clearly doesn’t know what they are doing. It’s ridiculous that a mental health facility is causing more stress than silently struggling by yourself. We will not be going here and we do not recommend.

This was my first experience with Therapy and the sessions were good, although I wish that we could have discussed skills and strategies that could be used outside of appointments. Instead sessions were focused more on feelings. It wasn’t until after my second appointment did things turn south. I received a call from the receptionist about a past due bill. Up until this point, I never received an email, statement or EOB from my insurance. I called my insurance company who stated they had not received any claims from the provider and that they were in-network and covered. Called the clinic back and the receptionist tried to set me up on a payment plan. I asked to speak with their biller and was transferred to her voicemail, with no return call. Be cautious with their billing system.

I had a bad experience with Highland Springs. The doctors were good however their operatons are terrible. Fisrt off the facilty is discusting. All the chairs in the waiting room are off white with a brown stain runnin down the back and seat of the chairs. I went in for a blood test and they had signs posted througout the facility saying full panel test were free and included with all blood testing. I even aske the nurse about it during my test and she said it would be free. Of course when I got my bill they charged me for it. I contacted them but they weren't recieving phone calls due to covid and were only reciving emails. When I emailed them it took a week for them to email me back and they completed dismised my question. I was perscribed a medication that needed a doctore prior approval. I went back and fourth from the pharmacy to highland springs trying to get the perscripton filled. After 12 day's Highland Springs finally told me they couldn't provide the information needed. Terrible services from a health care provider.

My Grandson's counselor is Wonderful, she is so good with him. However the clinic itself sure leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to customer service. If you are frustrated about something they will put you on hold and just leave you there. And getting a refill sent in in from Dr. Jacobs is nearly impossible. She didn't send in refills after the follow up meeting for the correct medication, and Liz her assistant just argued with me. The pharmacy has sent over requests for 3 days now, and still nothing. My Grandson ran out Sunday night, but they sure don't seem concerned about that, in fact she told me that getting the prescription from someone in Their system was my problem, not hers and getting him is medication wasn't her problem. She told me to find a pharmacy that was accepted the insurance, and I gave her Walmart and Walgreens. Not in their system. She didn't even offer to try to get a pharmacy near us on their list. I had to ask and ask. When I asked, does this mean I just take him off his Prozac, Liz responded with "Well if that is what you need to do because you can't get to our pharmacy" It was 90 miles away. I do not know why someone with such serious lack of concern for people they work with would be in a mental health clinic.

Everyone here is so kind and understanding. It took me years to find a good therapist and Debbie Sutherland had exceeded my expectations. She is the perfect mix of comfort, humor, and bluntness to get me through

After suffering some major losses in a short period of time I started going to therapy here. I had a really positive experience with both group and individual therapy. Denise helped me get through a really tough period in life and learn healthy coping skills that I'll use for the rest of my life. She even referred me to an amazing grief support group that furthered my progress and provided much needed support. I can't thank her enough!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The office people are inefficient and don't know how to return a phone call. They don't give you a set day and time like every other therapy office in existence. They let you set 4 appointments in advance. So you appointments are all over the place and half the time I can't get anyone on the phone to set said appointments. The therapist they set my daughter up with was beyond a joke. The therapist couldn't remember anything about my daughter from previous visits. It was like every time my daughter went to an appointment, she was starting all over. The therapist couldn't remember her name for God sakes. The therapist gave no homework to help her with her problems. My daughter would tell her stuff that was going on and the therapist would just be like "cool story bro". The therapist was absolutely no help at all. It was a complete waste of time and money. My daughter has a new therapist. In the 3 sessions she has had, they have been more helpful then the 8 months my daughter spent coming to this joke of a clinic. Long story short. Avoid this place like the plague. Find a clinic and a therapist who actually care about their patients.

Their office is vary inconsistent and hard to work with. Every employee will give you diffrent info about your account and none will be able to follow your basic requests. I've been coming here since Novenber and this has been my struggle with them the whole time. I think part of their struggle is having a bad computer system, but it really feels like a lack of care too. No 2 employees will do something the same way, and when you request it to be the same way they will still do it their own way. I ask for an email on everything and only get one 40% of the time. Sometimes it's a text, but I am also lucky to get any at all. Good luck figuring out your balance with them! Finding out what you owe or your payment will be difrent every time. Maybe lack of training? The employees clearly don't understand what they are reading on their screen, or don't bother to actually look.

When searching for mental health services it can often feel confusing, overwhelming, and in the past it took months for me to finally be able to see someone. My experience at Highland Springs was so easy and everyone that I spoke to was incredibly helpful. I spoke directly with the director of the clinic, at no extra cost to me, and from there she was able to guide me in the right direction for which therapist would be the best fit for me and my mental health goals. My therapist Chris is so awesome and I am very grateful for such a positive experience when I was seeking help.

Myself and my husband went into the clinic about a month ago because we wanted to start couples therapy. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted with the sweetest faces by the name of Liz and Maria. Liz helped us out with every question we had about their services and stayed so warm and professional the entire time but also made us laugh til we were in tears. For older folks like us, it’s not very often people (workers) will take time to actually get to know you and your needs. She provided all the paperwork we needed and more. Due to personal reasons we haven’t been able to proceed but we definitely will soon. If their receptionists are that wonderful I have no doubt in their therapists.

Let me start off with the front end of this clinic, if I remember correctly the time I came in it was Liz and another girl. They were so helpful and informative, answered almost 100% of my questions (besides some billing issues). They were happy and made me laugh even though I just came in to fill out paperwork, they were talking with me as if I’d been going there for months. I could tell they really like what they’re doing unlike other places where front desk is rude and miserable. I really appreciated how willing they were to answer my questions and if they didn’t have the answer they were so quick to reach out to someone or another department who did.

I've been in the process of scheduling a consultation with Beauty Laser Lab for their Don't Leave project regarding scar removal. There has been a delay in getting the appointment set up due to their staff not responding, but AnnaLee Alonzo has been so awesome in keeping me updated and reaching out. She even contacted them herself to have a rep help me directly, but since I haven't had much luck with that AnnaLee is going out of her way to assure I get scheduled. Thank you so much for making me feel important and heard!

Doctor Chris Calvin is good. I feel comfortable talking to him so far it's my first visit and I'm looking forward to the next. Hopefully I can start feeling better

The meeting wasn’t rushed and she listened to my symptoms and concerns thoughtful and provided meaningful solutions.
