Scammers at this branch( kk Nagar branch is much better ). I asked for a Mini Jigarthanda, but those guys kept compelling me to buy the parcel cup as it is priced high saying the quantity will be more, but I refused and told them to just give the Mini. That guy purposefully filled only 3/4 of the glass as I didn't order the parcel cup. If you want to have Jigarthanda, just go to the KK Nagar branch which is nearby. They serve much better and the quality is also better.

It has always been the forever place for many madurites.. it is made up milk, badam pisin and sea algae. They also add a flavoured ice cream and syrup. The taste does slightly seem to be off in the recent times. But still this traditional drink is best to cool the body. The best part is they have started to franchise in Chennai and Bangalore too. But the taste is definitely not up to the mark when compared to the madurai shops

The jigarthanda is very nice in taste as well quantity and quality but the thing is people this food is only good for your health during summer time please don't eat at time of rainy or in winter especially don't give to kids even in summer time or in normal days also after evening hours the cold catches the adult and kids easily it will start troubling you by throat pain then full of cold, cough and migraine patience don't ever have a idea to eat this, because migraine people will get headache immediately and it will raise high and lead you indigestion which cause stomach upset as well vomit sensation also. I had this problem because I have migraine problem , In curious I had this by and suffered a lot for two days with the above said symptoms so take these type of food only on seasonal times. Choose Food which is sure of healthy medicine not a troublesome for your health.

Famous jigarthanda is a old outlet in madurai. You will see lot of their outlets along the streets of madurai. It is a sweet drink and thick in texture. There is a Normal jigarthanda and a special jigarthanda with the difference in special jigarthanda having 'thick malai' in it. We tried their icecream too which is nothing but a frozen jigarthanda. It is worth to try it out once as it is extremely sweet.

Yeah it was so yummy when it touches the inner tongue. Can't able to express in words. It was a heavenly feel when you taste this for the first time in this particular shop. We went to madurai once for a function and tried with our friends. There are so many branches in the same brand name. But this place has some special and traditional taste in their drink.
