I sent my 21 year old son here after a TBI because it was supposed to be the best.....Well it was not, he was left alone in his room all day with bed alarm on. After therapy in the morning, he was put in his room and confined to the bed until the next day when he would have therapy again. He was forced to ride in a wheelchair, when he is capable of walking. Only allowed to shower 2 days a week!!! And at least once a week they were too busy to assist him in the shower and I would have to do on the weekend when I was visiting. Nursing was given an order to walk with him 6 times a day, which was never done!!!!!! I never spoke to a physician the whole time he was here. And when I had him transferred to a different facility, no one ensured that his belongings were all packed up. He left Madonna without some of his clothing, personal hygiene items, and medical equipment. Madonna has failed to contact me back in regards to these belongings. I would NEVER recommend or send my family to this place again. Terrible Nursing Staff. When i would visit on the weekends, he was never checked on, nursing would come in hand him pills and walk out. They were the rudest I have ever encountered. Therapy Staff and Nursing staff also would tell my son that he did not need to be there, I thought they were certified and trained in brain injuries, why would you tell a TBI patient that?

Your weekend supervisor nurse is very rude and had zero reason to have the person above her by the name of Melody in long term care threaten security just because we questioned what they have always said was ok until April decided it wasn't. Very unhappy with the treatment from staff and now I wonder how they are when we aren't around. There is a lot I have brushed off because no where is perfect, but this pushed me to write a review.

ZERO STARS!!! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone again!! My Mother was in there from Mid April - Mid May. She got EColi and a Sepsis infection while she was in there. They made her quarantine for 2 weeks when she arrived but since she got the infection and they had to send her to Bryan for medical care they made her start her 2 weeks over when she returned. The Head Nurse (Jackie) lied to us multiple times. I'm pretty sure when she said she had placed calls into the Dr to inquire about our questions she never did that either. She was in there for 6 weeks for rehab and not once did they ever do any rehab on the shoulder or leg that she had surgery on and was in there for. AWFUL, HORRIBLE place!!!

My mother who had Medicare was transferred there needing 6 weeks of antibiotics and learning how to walk. Her Secondary insurance through Humana was denied because she filed for it while visiting her mother in Texas (which isn’t covered in Nebraska) so they told me to come get her without getting anything ready for her to come home. I fixed her insurance so it covers her Nebraska Medicare and gave them the information, now all of sudden she is well enough to go home. If I could give -10 stars I would. This is a woman who has worked her entire life and got sick, was approved for Madonna. And now they are kicking her out. I guess her skin isn’t WHITE enough. To add to that, I will be picking up my mother on Monday- because I have nothing ready to care for her needs. Before getting sick she could walk, use the bathroom, drive and was totally self-sufficient. Now I’m getting my mom back in a wheelchair, and I have to learn how to give her IV antibiotics. These were all things promised by Madonna.

I was sent to the folks here as a very reluctant participant. I had given up on my recovery process from a TBI and did not expect much if anything here either but as soon as I met with the doctors, therapists, and staff I knew this was where I was supposed to be. I believe these wonderful people literally saved my life and I owe them my future. Everyone in the facility is loving and caring and make you feel like they are there for you and your needs and not just another "patient", they treat you like family... I was part of their Day Therapy Program for quite some time, then transitioned to the Out Patient Therapy Program, and now go for only maintenance sessions for Vision Therapy. This has been a two year total process so far and even though I will never be what I was before my injury I am very happy with all these wonderful people did for me. I fear where I would be today had I not had these Angels in my life. I love you and may God Bless You All!β€πŸ™

The people here are the greatest treasure of Madonna. Every single person was a beacon of light. I am not kidding about that!! They make you feel cared for..and special. I was here for a month and they got me back on my feet. I am forever grateful to this place and these awesome angels on earth.

All of the doctors and therapists I worked with there helped get me to a MUCH better place after my car accident. Prepare to be pushed to do the work you need to do when it feels like you have no more strength or energy. Lol They can recognize your capabilities and potential and they'll get you as far as possible in your recovery. The absolute best part of going there was the compassion and kindness shown by every one of the staff. Patient care is so important to any business, but especially important in anyone's recovery from an injury. I'd say Madonna is #1 in at least all of Lincoln for patient/customer care. πŸ’•

The first time I walked into Madonna rehabilitation center 2015. My father had a stroke 😒 and he was sent here for therapy. This center was an excellent start to recover. The infrastructure was dynamic. The rooms were clean and the service was excellent πŸ‘. Thanks to all the staff.

My 3 year old was transferred here from St Elizabeth burn unit. The staff/ nurses went above and beyond for my little guy. A certain nurse even played with him and played hide and seek and she gave him so much attention. He loved it! The different therapist that helped him was excellent and never pushed him to make him be uncomfortable. A burn nurse even came and showed me how to do wash time for him and she never left until I was completely comfortable with doing it!
