My
fiancé
and
I
visited
Ramesh
Jewelers
to
look
for
an
engagement
ring
for
our
upcoming
engagement.
The
person
who
showed
us
the
rings
was
Naveen
aka
‘Bob’.
A
ring
was
selected
and
order
placed
on
29/01/22.
We
advised
the
engagement
is
taking
place
in
early
April
and
were
assured
the
ring
would
be
ready
far
sooner
giving
us
plenty
of
time
of
any
changes
that
may
need
to
be
made.
A
£1k
deposit
was
paid
to
Bob.
Having
heard
nothing
for
some
weeks
I
chased
this
up
with
Bob
on
21/02/22
and
was
informed
the
ring
had
not
even
gone
into
production
and
he
was
‘aiming’
to
get
it
ready
in
2
weeks
time.
We
are
now
approaching
mid
March
and
we
contact
Bob
for
an
update,
he
informs
us
the
delay
is
because
he
contracted
Covid,
ok
we
understand
but
surely
he
has
a
support
team
around
him.
We
finally
hear
from
Bob
saying
the
ring
is
ready
to
collect
on
19/03/22.
Now
both
my
finance
and
I
live
2hrs
drive
away
from
Southall
and
were
unable
to
collect
on
19/03.
We
agreed
to
collect
the
ring
on
the
following
Saturday
26/03.
I
ask
about
Bob’s
health
and
be
bragged
he
contracted
Covid
for
only
1
day,
a
little
odd
I
thought
and
alarm
bells
were
ringing
about
this
mans
honesty
and
character.
The
ring
is
brought
out
and
it
looks
nothing
like
the
design
we
requested
even
though
he
had
written
down
all
dimensions
etc.
He
then
said
‘oh
I
made
a
spare
one
just
in
case’
again
very
odd
and
shows
his
own
confidence
in
his
work.
So
this
one
looks
more
like
the
one
we
requested
although
not
exactly
but
as
we
were
so
close
to
the
date
we
agreed
to
have
the
diamond
fitted
in
this
ring.
Bob
disappears
for
30min
and
returns
to
inform
us
he
cannot
swap
the
diamond
into
the
new
ring
and
we
would
have
to
return
to
collect
the
ring
in
a
few
days
time.
So
this
again
means
a
4hr
round
trip
for
each
of
us
to
collect
the
ring.
We
had
no
choice
and
Bob
assured
us
the
ring
would
be
ready
for
us
to
collect
on
02/04/22.
Now
as
the
ring
was
not
as
per
our
exact
request
and
I’m
paying
£5k
for
this
my
fiancé
requested
from
Bob
the
ring
is
amended
as
to
the
original
spec.
He
complains
about
our
request
but
we
explain
if
the
ring
was
made
as
per
our
original
request
this
would
not
have
been
an
issue.
He
agrees
and
I’m
again
assured
collection
for
02/04.
I
hear
nothing
for
a
few
days
and
I
make
contact
and
informed
he’s
90%
certain
it
will
be
ready.
On
01/04
and
make
several
attempts
to
make
contact
for
collection
and
informed
Bob
I
need
to
know
by
5pm
so
I
can
make
travel
arrangements.
I
hear
nothing.
No
further
communication
is
received
from
Bob
on
the
day
of
the
collection
02/04.
On
03/04
I
inform
Bob
to
cancel
the
order
and
return
my
deposit.
After
a
few
messages
exchanged
the
ring
is
now
miraculously
ready!
The
pictures
are
shown
to
my
fiancé
and
again
its
made
incorrectly!
Bob
completely
ruined
our
experience
in
what
was
supposed
to
be
an
enjoyable
time
and
left
my
fiancé
in
bits.
We
had
to
make
last
minute
arrangements
for
an
alternative
ring.
He
is
now
refusing
to
return
my
deposit
of
£1k.
He
will
no
doubt
say
we
changed
the
design
but
as
we
informed
him
if
the
ring
was
made
in
a
timely
manner
any
design
change
could
have
been
accommodated.
If
he
had
made
the
ring
correct
the
first
time
again
there
would
have
been
no
issue.
I
advise
to
stay
well
clear
of
this
jeweller
and
I’m
taking
matters
further
by
informing
trading
standards
and
taking
my
case
to
the
small
claims
court.

In
response
to
the
below.
So
by
your
own
admission
the
ring
was
never
going
to
be
ready
in
time.
If
the
average
turn
around
time
is
4
weeks
and
you
hadn't
even
started
production
by
22/02/22
(of
which
I
have
evidence)
we
had
no
chance
of
receiving
this
ring
in
a
timely
manner.
You
misled
us
and
have
been
deceitful
throughout
the
whole
process.
