A very serene and cool campus environment. Filled with good vegetation and tall trees, that makes the environment very cool with abundance of clear pure air. Good building arrangements. Good and spacious parking spaces. Accommodation for students on campus. It's overall a great place for a unique and quality tertiary education.

Talking about the area or the environment of the university which is an essential information to Google Maps, I would say, for Annex campus the environs is unpleasant cause it is used as a ranch for cattles and other animals. For the Town campus, saying that it is okay will be disparaging, the area is neat, calm and conducive for both academic and extracurricular activities.

This is the permanent site of University of Uyo, located along Nwaniba road at Nsukara Offot, at the outskirts of Uyo the capital city of Akwa Ibom State. It's a Federal government owned university. It's also my alma mater, given that I obtained my masters in human Anatomy here. By the grace of God, I'm also a lecturer in Pathology in this great university. It's a great school to attend given it's wide range of available courses (with accreditation) to study.

Before entry into the premise, you are greeted by filling Station owned by the school, the finest filling station i have seen so far in uyo, due to the well spaced and natural vegetation ambience surrounding it. The structure of the gate at its entrance depicts its town's name, UYO. Great design Innovation from the architects behind. Still a virgin land, with other structures(churches) sprouting up by the freeway road. At the end of the freeway road is the admin and convocation arena. Followed by a roundabout distributing various faculty at different location, with its pioneer faculty, Engineering, located at the left side of the circus. Looking at the design plan and layout for subsequent buildings, this University will be a marvellous site to behold once all has been set and done.

It's a very large school that "currently" contains 3 faculties... Faculty of Science... Faculty of Engineering... And The Faculty Of Agriculture. It has a library situated in all the faculty buildings, and 1 central library.

Well rated. The distance from the gate to the faculties is relatively far. Wearing sunscreen is advisable if you are trekking because the weather is usually extreme.

Away from the town campus. University of Uyo, permanent site represents everything higher institution. Talmbout The faculty of science, climbing the stairs reminds me of the stories my dad tells me about University of Calabar, talking about the 80s here. Worthy of mentions is the campus shuttles. Typical of any higher institution. And yes, it's situated at a serene environment ideal for intellectuals. Brain rewards!

The University of Uyo may not be the best in Nigeria but I must say that I am proud of the school. I realized that it's not the building that makes up the school but the people in it. The school is filled with amazing people from all walks of life. I get to learn, unlearn and relearn many things.

Has come a long way. From the days of Unicross to it's Ikpa road base to the present main site at Emory Nsukara Off-site. Memories of the startup Glory as a then state university to it's eventual conversion to a federal university. The days of Professor Fola Lasisi as Vice Chancellor to the reformatory days of Professor Akpan Ekpo. The Era of widespread disrespect to when it's glory was eventually restored.

This is the town Campus of University of Uyo. This is a great institution of learning no doubt, but most of the structures are dilapidated. I think if they can improve upon the structures it'll be nice but academic wise, I think they are ok. Just so you know, this is my Alma mater graduated here some years back.
