If you’re a lover of nature and serene places then this park is your spot! It is home to the Ibibio Union museum but I was quite disappointed because the museum was practically empty, reasons I do not know. The park is quite active during Christmas as it is also called Uyo Christmas village where a whole lot of entertainment takes place. Overall, it’s a cool place to visit.

This park is being known and referred to by many as Cenotaph. Located in between Udo Udoma Avenue and Nsikak Eduok Avenue, this place is an open field which serves as location to variety of events. Highest amongst which is Wedding reception, Traditional marriages and birthday parties. This location houses the Ibom Christmas village as it is easily accessible and serene. It also houses the Museum.

Unity Park is one of the first and foremost parks in Akwa Ibom State ,which is situated in Udo Udoma street and Nsikak Eduok street by two lanes. The serene environs housed the one of the state of art building popularly known as Ibibio museum. The park houses the edifice of the fifth ethnic group in the country called the Ibibio . Surrounded by banking layout where Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other financial institutions is situated, while at Nsikak Eduok by two lanes is surrounded by popular international church called Full life Christian Centre and other churches with hotels.

A park is an area of natural, semi-natural or planted space set aside for human enjoyment and recreation or for the protection of wildlife or natural habitats.

The place is always clean, with security personnels around. However, anyone passing through the park at night needs to be very careful to avoid harassment.

Unity Park is a nice place for one to take his/ her events to...but I noticed human beings have begin to dump waste carelessly there almost trying to form a waste point there which may degrade the natural beauty of that environment. Something should be done about it to discontinue such negative attitude from The Unity Park. Thanks.
