Well, it does seem to have everything one is looking for except turkeys. I wish they'd sell turkeys here the way the sell chickens. Any way I like how it has more businesses on the said market days. The market is ok, small by a general standard but nevertheless ok. You can get most of what you want out of your general shopping here.

A well built and well placed market with a good environment just by the road side for easy access to traders. It has everything you could guess to buy but it is over crowded by both traders and customers so it makes movement slow and a bit hard to navigate.

Good place to shop for all kinds of goods, from household items to school items, etc market days are seven days apart with the exception of Sunday which is shifted. All you need know is the date for the last market day and you anticipate the next. Things may not necessarily be cheaper here.

A fantastic local market! The largest local market in Uyo city, sited at the beginning of Ikot Ekpene Road. This local market holds every seven days (days that fall on Sunday automatically hold on Mondays). One can find a wide range of items here at very competitive prices. These items comprise especially of clothes, shoes and bags, however one can still find a wide range of food stuffs as well as kitchen utensils and common household items.

First thing you must do before heading to Itam market is to dress as casually and comfortably as possible because some passages inside the market are narrow and the ground is not so smooth. From the entrance to the market you'll see a display of different wares ranging from food items to clothes and phone accessories. Inside the market is not difficult to navigate and I know of about three entrances into the market. There are different sections for different types of goods; fabrics, stationeries, food section, cosmetics and electronics. The best time to buy goods at affordable prices on Itam market day is early in the morning from 7:00 to 9:00am and around evening from 6:00 to 6:30/7:00pm.

It's usually a Lil bit rowdy and very busy but trust me, you will definitely find all you need there. A very big and popular market. If you're chanced, morning or mid-day visits will be more convenient as it's more crowded in the evenings

Itam market is a hub of sea food as well as every other great items for daily use., it is also a very busy market but would have been more interesting if it was kept clean.

The market is always rowdy on market days. The last market day was on Wednesday, last week. Hence, the next market day will fall on Thursday, 7th September, 2023.

It's a full market. Everything you are looking for is here. But the environment is so packed that the air quality is poor. Very poor infact.

This is a very busy and crowded open business area in Uyo. I went to the market on a market day and it was difficult to pass as there was a lot of crowd. They sell all kinds of commodities ranging from food stuffs, cooked food, utensils and household items. I love the energy of sellers in the market and the security guys who were making sure everything is alright. Maybe you can try to visit though I don't really know the market days,I was just opportune ti visit there that day.

The market is open fully every 5days. It's one of the biggest market in Uyo for almost anything you need. Price well cause they tend to hike prices. You have access to fairly used and new items.

You can get cheap food items at itam market. It is very big and you can get any item ranging from clothes to foodstuffs to hair products and so much more. Another amazing thing is that there are a lot of sections where you can get similar items.

It was very crowdy, many people came to buy and sell their goods today. The environment was cool also.

I think the regulatory body guiding this market need to do more. Traders have left the market and are now using the pedestrian way for their displays of items for sale. The highway is now being use for all Comer's. Pedestrians, Rigsaw, wheelbarrow, trucks and vehicles have fight their ways always, while plying that road

One market that meet up with Modern Standard for Ultra modern marketing experience. Though sometimes, they block the road especially on main market days causing traffic holdup.

Extremely busy 😪. Ensure you go early to avoid when there's usually a rush. The variety of goods is great. Plus there's access to very fresh produce.

Itam market is one of the largest and most patronized markets in Uyo and Akwa Ibom State that serves food materials, clothing, and general merchandise. It is highly important to the economic well-being of the state capital and its adjoining communities.

Itam Market is a daily market but majorly sets aside a day of the week to trade. That's when merchants from far and wide come to trade their wares. Really congested and free for all.

  • 5/5 Michael A. 1 year ago on Google
Very serene and peaceful. I have been there a couple of times and it's just like your regular market. Quite busy on specific days

Fastest growing market in the suburban of UYO. Trading lots of commodities in a secured environment, always busy even when it's not the usual local market day. Itam market Uyo, currently attracts traders from all over the neighboring states mostly from Abia and Cross-river.

  • 3/5 Enwongo C. 1 year ago on Google
It is a very busy market, one that demands a certain level of discomfort while shopping- which is expected. Prices of things are relatively fair and cheap, and the options available make it a solid plus especially for groceries and food items.
