The beauty of this place only deserves to be witnessed through the real eyes. Hazrati Imam complex has been one of the most wonderful buildings I have came across. The work done inside the mosque is exceptional with lovely details. There is a big compound at the back side leading to a smaller compound with shops. This complex is packed during Eid Prayers and becomes a benevolent site to be experienced. Loved it.

They have some souvenir shops inside. Bargain to get a better price or if you have time go to Chorsu bazaar and buy there. But leather souvenir are at reasonable price.. The Complex itself is great.

Famous Islamic historical area. We came here for two days and still wish to come again. There is a masjid, a museum with the oldest quran, schools, gifts shops, clothes, graveyard, and landscapes. My kids were very happy here. The toilets are dirty and the women toilets were far and it was closed during our visit !

Ancient architecture and rich islamic histoty. If you like any of the above then its must go place in Tashkent. There is a copy of an ancient holy Quran preserved here. You need to purchase ticket to see it. Taking Photo or video of that copy of quran is not allowed. Its like an ancient place, you will feel you are in the past or in a Hollywood movie.

This place must be witnessed by eyes in order to feel it’s beauty. Such a magnificent place to visit in 2022. The place is free of charge but there are some places inside you need to pay for so that you can enter.

Heart of the Old Tashkent. Before sunset view gets very amazing. Minarets, domes, walls of the mosque and madrasah, and the square itself gets very beautiful colors. The square is like a playground for local kids. When i was there kids were cycling and playing with each other. Even inside the mosque kids play, that’s nice atmosphere. Mosque, indeed, was warm. The wudu room has hot water.

Visited today Hasat Imam, the historical spiritual heart of Tashkent, At its heart is Hazrat imam Square, the Hazrat imam Mosque, which was constructed in 2007 on the instruction of President Karimov. The largest mosque in the city, it was an expensive undertaking: the Sandalwood columns came from India, the dark green marble is Turkish and the interior of the blue-tiled domes is decorated with genuine gold leaf. Of the numerous sites surrounding the square, the most important is undoubtedly the Muyi Muborak Library, Muyi Muborak means 'the sacred hair', a hair said to have belonged to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Amongst its rare manuscripts collection, the library also holds the world's oldest Qu'ran, stained with the blood of Caliph Othman who was reading it at the time of his assassination in Medina in ad656. It is displayed in a glass-fronted vault; although the text appears to be written on parchment, it is in fact on deerskin.

Great complex. Masjid is open for prayer which is incredibly nice. One of the oldest copies of the Qur'an still in existence is located here in a small museum. There are various other Qurans also displayed in different languages and scripts

Beautiful. It's all new, but built and decorated like the old mosques. Very ornate. Rooms of Korans (including oldest extant.)

Nice complex to visit when in Tashkent. It might not stand up to what the historical cities do offer but it is worth a visit and to be included in a city tour. If your tour starts in Tashkent, consider it as a warm up ... If you have already visited Samarkand ... well ... it might not impress you that much.

It was pretty to walk around. We only went into the back area that has all the pretty shops of beautiful hand-made souvenirs. I enjoyed seeing some of the handiwork’s in progress.

It's an ancient art of construction, and a calligraphy on it is symbol of craftsmanship of that era.

A place to visit in memory of Hazrati Imam (full name - Abu-Bakr Muhammad Kaffal Shashi), the famous scientist, scholar of the Quran and Hadith, poet and craftsman.

Very beautiful place! I went with a tour guide who could give a lot of the history which really added to the experience as well. In the middle of the complex there was also a bunch of neat little gift shops that were probably overpriced (my guide cautioned) but not too bad. My one caution is to wear sunscreen or bring an umbrella on a hot and sunny day because there isn't a ton of shade and itl be easy to overheat.

It’s a very big complex with a couple of buildings laid out on each side of a huge square. The madrasah has already been turned into a place to buy souvenirs but the structure still stands and is very much intact and you can appreciate the architecture. A beautiful place to visit when in Tashkent.

First stop of the day was Hasti Imon, a large complex with a mausoleum, a mosque and the original of the 7th century quran replica we saw in the museum yesterday. All the buildings were rebuilt in the 20th century so they aren't old but are in the Timurid style. The Friday mosque had particularly impressive minarets and some lovely woodwork inside. There was also a very impressive Islamic Centre being built too so it looks like, although the constitution says the country is secular the president is doing all he can to bend that and increase Muslim approval, like Erdogan.

Awesome and Tranquil place. You cannot help feeling the past when it would have been full of believers. You literally walk on history. Spectacular woodwork.

Beautiful mosque but some may find parts of the ancient monument have been a tad over restored. Still a great display of Islamic culture and heritage

We arrived just before Friday afternoon prayers were held. Very calm, peaceful with many friendly faces. A must, must, must visit at the Hazrat Imam is the small museum housing the oldest surviving original Qurans written down in 651 AD. That almost 1400 year book absolutely is one of the wonders of the World.

The structure is so amazing and different. Dooms, pillars, roof and courtyard, everything is just beautiful. The most important feature is TWO very high minarets.

Historical place

Historical place
👍👍 A very interesting place. The highest point in Tashkent. Historical monument of the Zoroastrian era. And in childhood it played the role of a castle-fortress for adventures. Popularly called Basmachka, Basmach Mountain. It is a pity that everything is being built up around and almost no attention is...
