You can do a very nice walk from here to the top. I strongly suggest that you wear hiking shoes - the route is doable in sneakers, but there is several dangerous and steep areas where it’s fairly exposed so it’s easy to slip. Overall a good hike for a fit person, takes about 1.5h for a fast walker. Lovely views, you might see some sheep on the way!

I love the mountains and trekking and this point is among one of the most beautiful ones and easy to reach by train and cable car. Cable car experience was really amazing and spending time there is the best part, as there were very few people and I like to spend time in quite places and the day was sunny and bright. I 100% recommend this place to everyone who is visiting Innsbruck.

Amazing views from here and to sit outside on a glorious sunny, still winter day surrounded by snow and mountains is something I'll never forget. Tables and bench chairs outside and wait staff bring your meals to you out in the snow whilst you enjoy the views down to Innsbruck from the large landing. Views behind to the towering mountains behind and the ski runs are absolutely breathtaking in the crystal clear air. This is only ONE stop on the Nordkette Cable car, and the cost of the ticket was well worth it. Make sure you pick a day as we did when the weather is "perfect" so you can really enjoy the views.

The Seegrube area is located behind the local restaurant and you can wander around or wander off. We visited in June and there were patches of ice and snow about the size of tennis courts but that was not a problem. A dozen or so goats were hanging around and added to the charm of the area. You could check out the scree slopes and get a great view of the cable car that takes you up to the Top of Innsbruck. Fascinating and tranquil all at the same time. Loved it.

Been there as part of the Karvendel trail. 4 Euro for use of short cable car. Nice place views ok. But for love of a god why in such a place you cant use card payments?

Fascinating and beautiful place. Fresh air that can’t be described. Going up by the cable cars then walk further up. Take good shoes and jackets (even in summer).

Loved the view and the restaurant on top. It is also a nice place to sky if you are not afraid of high heights. Great chairs allows you to relax sunbath and enjoy a nice drink. The cablecar is also really good and feels safe. It will take you about 7 Mon to reach there.

I think visiting this area is a must in winter. You can bring your “small” sled like I did or you can rent/borrow for free (€5 for deposit). The kids had so much fun, just be careful sometime it gets too crowded and someone is coming really fast from the top.

Beautiful views of the city. The hikes around this station is a memory that lasts a lifetime. The Autumn season showcases stunning fall colours.
