Do yourself a favor and eat here while you are in Athens. And if you aren’t in Athens, go and visit so you can eat here haha. This is the best pizza (or peynirli) I have ever had. The crust was sent from Heaven and I could eat these all day long. I got the classic Smak and it was amazing, the other ones looked really good too! Makes a perfect meal place or just get a small peynirli for a quick snack between meals.

The smak pesto peynirli won my heart: San Marzano tomato sauce, vegan cheese or mozzarella, vegan pesto, and cherry tomatoes. Everything was super fresh and delightfully yummy! Excellent price point too!

We tasted pizzas and pastries in Athens and this is undoubtedly the best pizzeria we've been to. Pizzas from the taboon are not too thin and not too thick, perfectly crispy and perfect pizza sauce. I would add a little more cheese, but in any case very tasty. Completely reasonable pricing and an additional and not obvious extra in Athens - excellent, courteous and excellent service. May they succeed!

This place is self service, you need to order at the counter. Amazing flavor. I ordered from the traditional side of the menu. This is Greek take on The pizzas. Although they do serve the regular shape and size pizza. It's a central location with many attractions around. I enjoyed my food with Greek beer, and they complimented each other like rain and wind. It was a storm of flavor. This place definitely deserves a stop on your journey through Athens.

Went to this place for lunch after reading an article about their "boat shaped pizza." Well, they are called peynirli and are truly delicious. We ordered a local beer and 3 different peynirli so we could try a few from their menu. They were all delicious!! The dough is perfectly cooked. The sauce is very tasty, and the toppings are very fresh. Prices are reasonable, and the location is not on a very busy street, which was even an added bonus! Note that it is a counter order restaurant (no table service) but very easy to do, and food came out fast. Highly recommend!

Very cute, small restuarant, a few inside seats and a few outside. It is a nice place to stop on your walk in Athens for a quick snack. You gotta try the Greek Pizza Peynirli! The people who cooked and served us were very pleasant.

Late review, we visited this place back in March 2022 and every so often reminisce about the lovely peinirli/pizza we had. It’s a quick and cheap snack that packs so much flavour! We can’t wait to return to Athens to enjoy this lovely food again! Would highly recommend.

Amazing food, great selection of pizzas and traditional pizzas alike. Small portions are quite well sized, if you want to experiment more I recommend ordering 2 small portions as they are together about the size of a big one. Very friendly staff, well spoken in English. If time allows, we will definitely return.

Very good - the dough was chewy and well-baked, and the toppings were all of good quality. I got the truffle mushroom, and I think they forgot the truffle oil because there was absolutely no truffle flavor, but it was still very good. And it was my fault, I could have gone and asked them to put it on.

We tried "Peynirli", an alternative to Turkish pide. We opted for the ones with sausage and minced meat. Both were very tasty. Even one is quite filling. I highly recommend it.

Great place for some authentic greek peinirli, I went with the minced meat option which was similar to a Bolognese sauce. It was stuffed with the meat sauce and cheese combo end-to-end so even the ends had plenty of filling. Unfortunately they have recently redone their menu and removed the sweet options, so we missed out on the pistachio cream one.

Wonderful small paninis Pizza-style but not that heavy in fat and calories. Streetfood at it“s best. Try the truffels Smak - gorgeous! Closes too early (10 pm).

We loved this little 'find' in the winding streets of Athens. Highly recommend as it's quiet...one can either eat inside or outside. The employees are kind and the place is clean! We got the most spicy option for the pida bread...yummy!!!! Took about 5-6 min to wait for food before it was finished in the oven.

Peynirli / pide / hatchapurri they are quite similar, but this place is great to have one. They are making everything fresh on the spot, I took the one with goat cheese, mozzarella, beef ragout and a super crispy crust, which was a tasty choice. The ragout might have been a little more spiced up, but I still enjoyed. The place is located in a slightly quiet street, and the staff is super nice too.

This place offers pizzas and peinirli. You can't go wrong by ordering either. What makes these really good is not necessarily the stuffing or the topping, as much as it's the dough itself which has a Neapolitan texture and taste to it. The dough is very fluffy and airy, and it's really light. This place easily offers the best pizza/peinirli I have come across in Athens so far. Strongly recommended.

Wonderful peynirli, a pizza-like boat of goodness. The crust was fluffy, cheese had a great taste, and the toppings were good too. The spicy sausage was quite spicy! Nice selection of a few Greek beers in bottles and cans, too. This is a great place to stop for a quick bite of local food when you aren’t in the mood for a souvlaki. Highly recommended.

My partner and I shared 3 items, the margherita pizza, the burrata pizza and the greek peynirli. The peynirli was my favorite! I loved the olives and the creamy goat cheese. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Come over to SMAK and immerse yourself in the world of peïnirlįiiiiiiii aka "pain early". This Greek version of pizza is excellent without exaggerating also the topology of this snack allows it to get loaded with more cheese than on a pizza which makes it extremely decadent! I'm looking forward to visiting SMAK again when I'm in Athens!!! Keep it up!!!

Very cute and clean place, their Peynirli is one of a kind. I also enjoyed their salad and appreciate their reasonable pricing and unique location that is bit away from all the major crowds in Plaka, I am definitely coming back!

Tried the smack (plain cheese) peynirli and the chicken one! They were to die for!!! Literally my stomach did a happy dance at the very first taste! Love the olive oil and lemon & oregano drizzle the accompany it with! Would love to try the avocado one too!

I had the soutzouki peynirli spicy (also available in non-spicy) and it was delicious. If you love pizza and spicy food, order this. My wife had the Avocado peynirli and she loved it. The order was prompt and we will definitely return next time we are Athens!

One of the best places for peynirli in Athens. Some vegetarian options and even a vegan one. The large size was definitely a lot bigger than I expected 😅 My favorite was the avocado one and if you like avocado I believe you will love it too!

Great Peynirli. The large size are pretty big. So it might make more sense to order two small ones to share. You can be proper and eat with knife and fork or wrap it up and eat it on the go. What was pretty funny was the spicy soutzouki was listed as very spicy but actually was just really a level one w the perfect a amount of heat. Great place for a quick snack or a full meal. Staff was extremely friendly.

I liked the smak which had a thicker, soft crust. Tried the vegan truffle smak, spicy smak, and pizza Margherita. My favorite was the truffle

Greek version of a khachapuri, helpful staff, good ingredients. Their artisanal sausage was delicious and don't let the size fool you, the small is enough unless you're super hungry.

Food was good. The dough is incredible!!! …and its different than the tradiditonal food you get everwhere. But the atmosphere is not so nice…we were asked for money by walking by homeless (not unsual) person 3 times in 30 mins.

This is an extremely good pizza, they have large selection of local and italian pizzas. The prices are affordable and the quality is top notch.

Nice place for a quick yet original type of pizza. Preparation is fast enough and very tasty in my opinion. There are two available sizes: the medium and the large. You can have the medium one if you want to have a snack or if you fancy more than one type of toppings. I would say the large size is kind of filling.

Amazing peinirli! I took the one with the mushrooms. The bread base was very delicious and very very fresh ingredients on the top. Reasonable price.

Only two words for this place: TRY IT. They might have the best pizza in town. Amazing dough, sauce, and toppings. Less is more. I don't know what went wrong, but what I received was a huge mass of cheese, like a block of jelly, all glued together. I had to cut the pizza with a pizza knife. The dough was soft and moist. Literally there was only cheese on the pizza. Disgusting. This is NOT your Margherita I so much loved in the past. And I'm a regular customer. Either you changed your recipe or the person who prepared the pizza had no clue at all. I will not risk ordering again. I ate 2 pieces and threw the rest away :(

Excellent had the truffle and also the mince beef just now small size but two of them filled me up top tastes! Well done! My first food of Athens this trip sure i will be back!
