Historical landmark with ruĂŻns of an old defence wall built in the 4th century BC and reconstructed later on. Good panoramic views with possibility of shooting some nice pictures.

The first open-air parliament in history. Enough said. This is where citizens used to meet, discuss, vote and decide about all public affairs of the Athenian city-state. Not bad for 24 centuries ago!

Exactly how it was back in the original parliament. Face the wall and talk: natural microphone. Wonderful sunset view of the Akropolis, others on Mars Hill watching the sunset and the city. Safer footing than Mars Hill. Free space

This is the wall which supports the Pnyx. Where modern Democracy was based. Not a surprise these are the Biggest Megaliths I've seen anywhere. Been going up and down these hills countless times for decades. Still something I haven't seen. This place will always amaze me! And you!

The thing that I think about most when I see such places is, how did you build these places in times when there was no technology?

This is just one of my favourite place in Athens just to relax, enjoy the view, best moment is when the sun is going down. Just be careful for slippery and loose stones.

Great view of the city and not as full of people as other places near the Acropolis. It has some info about the place, but in general it's just left on its own, so you're free to explore and wonder how it was 2000 years ago.

One of the best places to take in the views and significance of Athens. The Greek culture remains, even today, a democracy and freedom stronghold.
