Jatashankar Mahadev Temple is located at naturally beautiful area. Temple is surrounded with greenery. We have spent one hour here. Area is peaceful too.The temple is enshrined by God Shiva in the form of his shivalinga which is naturally bathed by a stream flowing along and its water falling on the idol itself. The place is also the origin of river Sonrekh and is covered in ethereal beauty.

Jatashankar Mahadev temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and located on the Mountain Girnar in Junagadh. Devotee can reach this temple via old stairs of Giranar, after climbing few stairs; this temple is located on the right side of road in huge cave. It is believed that this is spontaneous and extraordinary Shivlinga. This Shivlinga is naturally bathed by the water flowing from the Girnar. Thus this temple is perfect combination of spirituality and nature. It is Abode of peace. From the lowland of Girnar, this temple is 500 steps up. You have to walk in to lush green gir forest. You can enjoy local food items on the way to temple such as green tamarind, hot and sour Kawa, forest fruits, Boiled sweet corns and much more. Please Beware of Monkeys. Group of monkeys are waiting for you to welcome you. If you are carrying any food items in your hands, it may a chance that monkeys can snatch away the food packets. Points to be considered: 1. When you are in monsoon season keep dry food items with you. 2. Take umbrella or raincoat with you. 3. Take minimum luggage load. 4. Extra pair of clothes, if you want to take bath in water fall. 5. Lunch is available at temple free of cost. 6. Wear sports shoes as road is slippery during rainy season. 7. Mobile network may be hampered. 8. Avoid to take samll children or else extra precautions should be taken. 9. Don't throw any waste in the forest. 10. Maintain the full decorum of Forest area. You can spent whole day with your family. It will give you experience of tracking as well.

Jatashankar Mahadev Temple is a Hindu Temple situated on the rear side of Mountain Girnar. The Temple is enshrined by God Shiva in the form of Shivalinga which is naturally brathed by a stream flowing along and it's water falling on the idol itself. The place is also the origin of river Sonrekh and is covered in ethereal beauty. The Temple is located at naturally beautiful area and surrounded with greenery inside forest and some trekking too max 500 steps only. And after you reached the temple we can go ahead to top and we can see the waterfalles too. The water flows through stones and all between the forests. If you are going for sightseeing, this place is worth a visit only in monsoon. The sounds of waterfall will excites you a lot. You will love the place and will self drenched into the mother nature. It's an hidden gem and a holy place. The scenery beauty on the way will leave you memerizing, you will feel the nature vibes, will leisure connect to nature. So I would recommend everyone to visit it once and feel the nature vibes and most importantly Jatanshankar Mahadev Temple😇

It is also believed that this is the favorite place of Swami Vivekanand, the great sage of Hinduism. A very special temple of ten kind of education is also situated here. Devotee across the India visits here during the holy Shravan month and offer Abhishek to Shivlinga.

Devotees visit this temple for its spiritual aura, serene atmosphere, and cultural significance. The temple is well-maintained and managed, providing a peaceful place for prayer and reflection. The Jatashankar Mahadev Mandir is situated in the foothills of Girnar Mountain Range. you have to track your way through the jungle and the entry is located near the Udan Khatola Gate. The track is well maintained till 3/4th of the way composed of Rubble paved walkway and steps. The last 1/4th of the way is through a river's path. which also hosts many waterfalls small and big in its way where people usually go to enjoy the water flowing. Once you reach the Mandir then from going left from there and continuing towards the upstream of the River you can reach a bigger waterfall. You will love the place and will self drenched into the mother nature. It's an hidden gem and a holy place. The scenery beauty on the way will leave you memerizing, you will feel the nature vibes, will leisure connect to nature. So I would recommend everyone to visit it once and feel the nature vibe.

Stunning views and beautiful temple. 45 minutes easy to medium hike to temple from Girnar foothills in Junagadh. During monsoon season are water streams in which you can bath. Best time to visit is during July and August. Jai Jata Shankar Mahadev 🙏🏻

Arguably one of the finest spots in the city, it's perfect for family or friends' outings. Accessible from the lowland of Girnar, you'll need to climb 500 steps through the lush green Gir Forest, adding to the adventurous journey. We made our stop this time midway to the temple where you have to cross the river's path. for families with children this place is suitable. those who can track more can reach up to the farthest of the fall. But the Inherent Beauty and Calmness around this area is just sublime. It must be visited during the monsoon season for pure bliss.
