We went for lunch over here on a weekend and ordered a Gujarati thali. We were served with Starters, Chickoo Halwa, Basundi, 4 sabzi, Kadhi & rice and some other items. Most of the items were good in taste, apart from the Chickoo Halwa and Paneer Sabzi in the Thal. The service was average, the ambience was okay and the cost was affordable. Recommended to try once.

Little expensive unlimited gujarati dish has plenty of varieties. Service is faster and taste is awesome, parking is decent opposite restaurant. It has multiple branches delivering same experience.

Delicious Thali! Very authentic preparation! Sweets, savoury, sabjis & roti were all served unlimited. Must try for all tourists visiting Vadodara.. Overwhelmed by their hospitality and courtesy.

They serve gujarati thali meal. Rs.300 per person, unlimited food including one litre bottle of mineral water. Food is too spicy & not tasty. There is no balance of spices in any vegetable, kadhi, daal. Spicy doesn't mean tasty! They should have limited food thali meal for those who don't want to taste/eat unlimited food. Next time I will try eating at a different restaurant because Rs.300 is a bit too much for spicy food i can't eat. Other people who love spicy/tikha (but not tasty) food may have a different opinion.

Good looking and ambient place. Visited with my family and it’s worth it. Localites recommend it too 1 Gujarati thali for an adult costs 320rs and it is worth a try, it has everything a tourist wants in a gujrati thali, best part is that the owner here is really polite and soft spoken he helps the customer and gives a personal touch. It has a good place to sit after your meal and talk. Worth eating once if you visit Vadodara. Thanks afor reading❤️

Best Gujrati thali, Food was super delicious and service was very fast. I loved how the managers were keeping an eye out and signaling waiters to serve. Waiters were very kind and forcing you to eat at your fullest. The lunch thali costs 320 per person but definitely worth it, I'd highly recommend this place. Menu : Poori, Phulka Roti, Undhiyu, Cabbage, Aloo, Moong, Sithafal basundi, Chaat, Dhokla, Kachori, Dal, Rice, Chaas and Jalebi

Our family went to this restaurant looking at the reviews, the taste was amazing. Unlimited Gujarathi thali for 299Rs + Gst. Staffs were friendly and served at their best. We even tipped them for their service. Recommend this restaurant to have soul and stomach filled.

I visited this place almost 4 years before the pandemic and was quite impressed with the portions and varieties in the thali. This time I was quite disappointed with the portions and the food quality too which was not upto the mark. The 3 stars here are only for the head staff and the khichidi in the thali that made my visit to sasumaa memorable.

Good food, great service & a pretty decent dining option when it comes to value for money. It has improved a lot since last year. Earlier the seating layout used to feel congested but it’s better now. Overall a good place to dine in Vadodara especially if you prefer Thalis. I also didn’t face any waiting time, when I visited (family of 4) on weekends which is great considering this is a pretty well known establishment in the city. Bonus: As of June ‘23 they are also serving “Aamras” which makes it an even sweeter deal to visit here IMO.

Food was good. Khazoor halwa on that day was not near it names. It was okay though. Vegetables were poor choices. Only Desi chana was good. Services was good.

We wanted to eat an authentic Gujaratj thali and were guided to this place by hotel staff. Was walking distance from Vadodara station. Place was well maintained and staff extremely friendly. The food was delicious and more than what we expected. The topping was the Corn Halwa, as dessert, which was to us unique and creative.

I really liked this place, pure veg Gujarati Thali at Alkapuri - Vadodara. We have ordered a thali and there were about 20 odd varieties given. Hoard of waiters serving each dish and the refill was unlimited. They kept coming and we literally had to push them to stop. Their services lived up to the name of the restaurant. Great hospitality and great food. Generally Gujarati food has a hint of sweetness but being from the south I did enjoy every dish they served. People with good appetite would enjoy.

Can Be a Bit costly but the food and ambience was great.Sometimes fast serving of the staff can rush you in eating....All in all great experience though.

The place is nice, well decorated, good atmosphere but I don't like the service, the waiters were either too fast in service and sometimes very slow. You needed to repeatedly ask for the refill. So the consistency needs to improved. The quality of food is great but then you compromise in taste. My parents didn't like the desserts served. The sweet dishes were not up to the par. The serving bowl needs to be a little bigger. You get the veggie curry but it's just over in a bite or 2 and then you need to wait for the waiter to come back and refill. Didn't have a pleasant experience to be honest. Not worth the prise of food you're paying. I won't recommend.

Food was okay though we didn’t enjoy the sweet dal. The Anjeer Basundi was very nice. Service was prompt and excellent. The only thing that we didn’t really like was the constant smell of phenyl, it made us feel like we were dining in a hospital canteen.

Perfect place around here to enjoy a gujarati thali. The price is about 360 rupees and you basically get as much food as you want. Furthermore everything tastes warm and fresh, the service functions like a clockwork and the staff was quite accomodating. I can only recommend every foreigner to try this out if they wanna eat well. You probably wont be hungry for a good while after

Found this place while searching for a good Gujarati restaurant near the Railway station. Came here after seeing the reviews and I was not disappointed. The food was amazing. They have so many items and everything tasted amazing. Loved the fast service and attentive nature. The owner saw that I liked the rabdi and insisted that I have one more katori. Yes the price is on the higher side 340 per thali, but you get top quality food so it's worth trying.

Best and authentic Gujarati food.. Loved their service.. liked their warm and welcoming gesture.. Food quality number one.. The thali consists of 4 sabzis, salad, pickle, 2 farsan items, 2 chutneys, 2 sweets, phulka, bajra roti, papad, rice, dal, kadhi, buttermilk and a chat item. Do try these mouth watering delicacies if you are in Vadodara..

I heard so much about this place so I visited to try Sasuma Thali but my experience was 7/10. The reason behind this it was their service a bit. The taste was very nice and the best items are Dhokla, Rolls, Basundi. As per my review the cost of all this food is very high its Rs.320/-. So you can visit if you are Gujarati Food Lover. And if you are Punjabi Food Lover its not for you. Bcoz they have only one Punjabi sabji.

We wanted to try the authentic Gujarati thali on our visit to the state. Frankly speaking this was a wonderful experience in Gujarati food. The dishes were tasty and well prepared. Watch out for their incredible sign language for different services at the table which never left us waiting. Talk about more action and less talk. Our first hand sources gave us two options Kansaar and Sasumaa, with we choosing the latter. Nothing against Kansaar, since we haven't been there but we were more inclined towards Sasumaa due to the recent reviews.

Despite a hefty 300rs price, Food is below average and service pathetic. Servicing maida fried marble sized Gulab jamun with no dry fruits. Absolute looting the patron. Shame on you guys. Less said of other foods the better.
