Easily the best authentic South Indian food in Baroda. Whenever I visit Baroda, it's a ritual to visit 22nd parallel. Post covid, every table is sanitized in front of you just before you take your seat to the yummy tummy express. 😉 Now coming to food..I love their neer dosas with avyal, appams with stew, soft idlis, authentic rasam, perfect dosas and end it all with a filter coffee. They are good but they can do better. This time I ordered and dosa with avial and the avial was perfect this time it was really bad and I had to complain about it also the quantity of avial was very less. Also be prepared for 30 mins waiting on weekends. On service end they will not serve the whole order in one go. My whole family almost finished their food before I got my dosa on the table. Also parking car is a big issue along with their waiting area which is so congested.

simple and best restaurant for dosa lover like me. good option for lunch and dinner. unlimited sambhaar with chutney. sambhar taste is too good.. chutney also awesome. due to sambhar and chutney it taste become very very tasty. must try ..place is neat and clean , during holidays waiting is there. but must visit place for dosa lover. and south indian food.

Went to this restaurant along with a friend, i ordered dosa, utappam and cold coffee and i found an iron part of coffee grinding machine which came in my mouth while having it. They didn't even gave me the bill and the owner herself asked me to not write anything negative about them. They didn't gave me the complaint register as well. I have asked them numerous time to provide me a copy of bill so that i can escalate a complaint against the restautant. Avoid going to this restaurant if possible.

Definitely one of the best places in Vadodara to have a South Indian meal! The staff is polite and courteous and the service is pretty quick. Definitely a place which serves GOOD sambar! Tried their saapad which is a fixed thali and enjoyed the meal. Their veg kurma with apam / parotas is another fav along with their regular idli, vadai and dosas. Also the "Paneeyarams" are worth trying. Highly recommended for a satisfying meal.

Since I am a proper South Indian, I am expecting food to be tasted as exact as in South India. I understand the same can't be replicated but presented (Dishes). Hence the items wise availability is good for people who think about South India. But this is not how food tastes in South India and also rate.

When it comes to serving authentic food from the South in Vadodara, 22nd parallel is the place. This restaurant is very popular in town due to which there is always a waiting period during peak timings. The menu mainly consists of items from Kerala and the prices are not too expensive. Tried Neer dosa with Avail curry, Kothu parota and Chocu milkshake. Neer dosa was average, however, chutney and Avail were good. Kothu parota was tasty but a touch spicy. Chocolate milkshake was decent. Service was a bit slow. The place is on the first floor. The interiors are nicely done.

This place is far from Authentic South Indian food. I ordered Neer Dosa, Ghee Roast butter Masada Dosa, Onion Pakoda and Filter coffee. Neer Dosa- The Dosas were too dry. Could have been more supple. Ghee Roast Masala Dosa- They will cut the Dosa in 4 pieces and provide you. This itself is a big turn off. Next, the Dosa is overly stuffed with Masala. This is the farthest thing to what an actual Masala Dosa looks like. Onion Pakoda- Reeked of oil smell. They took 40 mins to bring this out and still it was cold. Did not have the courage to complete this. Filter Coffee- The only thing that remotely resembles South India Cusine was the Filter coffee. Surprisingly They took almost 25 mins to bring the Filter coffee after reminding them thrice. When it comes to Ambience again this place is a hard pass. You have people singing Happy Birthday at the top of their voice. Even fellow waiters were fed up(one of them attributed the delay in Filter coffee due to the ruckus created by this Birthday group) It will be a hard pass for me. This place is pretending to be a South Indian Restaurant but does not want to leave it Gujarati roots.

The only place you can trust for South Indian food when in Vadodara ..must try their Puttu dish (allow them 30muns preparation time) Service given by Sagar who is always smiling and happ to help.... Good news is: they are now open in Ahmedabad toooo❣️
