I been regular patron since last two decades, earlier years its entrance was adjacent to Sanjiv Hospital. Cafe has undergone renovation couple of times. Madras Restaurant is a Cafe serving vegetarian south Indian cuisine such as Idli Sambar, Dosa etc and beverages. Price range of each items is no more than 100 Rupees. I would recommend idli-fry, it is deep fried idli served with mild chilly condiment (chutney) and sauce.

Waste of money. Look my photos. Tasteless breakfast. Worst place. Don’t visit this.

One can have a quick bite at this cafe with decent food quality, ambience is not that good. Suggested only if you're in rush and dont expect delicious meal.

The sambhar is rich, idli is absolutely soft and the vada has an amazingly crisp texture. One of the oldest restaurants of the city, still holding its name and taste.

First of all laugh it off to have visited a South Indian restaurant in Gujarat, being said that , I strongly recommend please try Gujarati cuisines which is full of oil/ghee and tastes better than the dosas served here. I asked a head waiter/Anna here about what's their best? He couldn't answer a thing and hence had to order their Dahi idli and Masala Dosa which was a biggest turndown. I kept looking for what others had on their table and was surprised to see the Quantity of food item this hotel serves at this price point. Sorry but it was not a pleasant dine out in here.

Underrated South Indian Restaurant. It's the best. The oldest and the best. They have a wide variety of Dosas, Idlis and Vadas. The essence is their mouth watering sambhar. Makes me go back every damn time.
