Hey, I was bit hesitant to visit this place since I wanted to avoid comparing it with Grand Thaker Rajkot where I had the opportunity of visiting twice. But I am happy to share my experience here Excellent food. Cozy ambience and very good service. Perfect place for foodies! The menu consisted of Basundi, puranpoli veg cutlet, dhokla was really special, made of Rajma, very unique. Instead of 6 bowls added 2 more! Raita /salad dish was full of variety. Normal menu consisting of chapati, chana, aaloo n veg Jaipuri and gaavar, everything was made with full perfection. What was surprising is they had rice as well as khichdi during lunch n khichdi was awesome as well. If you are visiting Grand Thaker for lunch, kindly avoid your breakfast☺️ How I wish I could eat more! Sounds I am exaggerating? Please check it for yourself! Thank you so much Grand Thaker team.

Famous in Rajkot, newly opened The Grand Thakar serves Gujarati thali. Located at shreem Shalini mall, it is a good option for thali. Liked the dahi wada and whedmi. Otherwise it was just average, nothing extra ordinary.

Best Gujarati Food I ever tried (I was never a big fan of Gujarati food though, but this restaurant changed my opinion), great service, friendly staff, must visit again and again and not only for Gujarati food, even for Punjabi and other cuisines. Keep up the good service.

Food taste : 4.5 / 5 Stars (For Thali) Ambience: 4 / 5 Stars Service : 4.5 / 5 Stars Time to serve : 5 / 5 Stars Cost of Thali: INR 280/Thali inclusive of GSR. Located in Alkapuri, opposite Bank of Baroda main building. Their entrance from ground too ground floor is not ideal, and restaurant is on 3rd floor. Food quality and taste is really good. I've only tried Thali so far, twice, by not a-la-carta menu. Small Poran Poli is best in taste. Seating capacity is very good. You must try this restaurant if you like Gujarati / Rajasthani Thali. Cost wise it's not too expensive, but not dead cheap as well. Service staff is courteous and offered Punjabi daal as complementary on both occasions.

Good seating and decor , authentic Gujarati Thali place. One serving of each is enough. Rs 250 - unlimited. I liked Velmi(sweet roti) the most. Khichdi was super ! Gajar halwa was also fantastic. They serve chapati and 3 different curries and daal.

Good and tasty food. Recently I had unlimited dish in which everything over all was great but only thing I would suggest in selection of vegetables in unlimited thali should be done considering the people. Like 3_4 vegetables were there but only one of it which was paneer shabji. So you could reduce the types of vegetables and could serve 2 sabji but best one in taste. Otherwise overall it was just awesome. In cleanliness everything was perfect. Great Service. Great place. Good staff.

Basundi was the highlight for me. It was exquisite. The food was mouth watering and the ambience is very nice. Serving staff is very friendly and prompt too. It has a thali system (all you can eat) , charged approx. Rs. 300 for lunch but it was worth it.
