Husqvarna AB, one of Sweden's oldest manufacturing companies, boasts a rich history that spans over 300 years. Established in 1689 in the town of Huskvarna, the company initially served as a musket factory, responding to Sweden's ongoing war with other European countries. The production of firearms continued until the 1870s, but as demand declined, the factory had to adapt to new market demands. To diversify, Husqvarna commenced the manufacturing of sewing machines in 1872. The success of this new venture spurred further expansion into other household products. In 1883, the company started producing cast-iron stoves and, by 1896, introduced their first bicycle. As engines became increasingly accessible in the early 20th century, Husqvarna branched out into motorcycle production, a line they maintained until 1987. Throughout the 20th century, Husqvarna continued to innovate, developing and manufacturing a diverse range of products, including garden essentials like lawnmowers and chainsaws. Today, Husqvarna is a globally recognized brand, renowned for its high-quality outdoor power equipment. Though Husqvarna AB has experienced several ownership changes throughout its existence, its history remains strongly intertwined with Sweden's industrial development and the company's ability to adapt to evolving market needs. With deep historical roots, the company remains a leading player in its industry, exemplifying the strength and resilience of its brand and product range.

So much outstanding proven quality throughout the years, combined with most innovative products and technologies, that's it. You need at least two hours to walk in the museum and dive deep among the large range of products and time legacy.

You can feel a spirit of this company during long walk through the museum. It’s amazing how many products were designed and manufactured through the centuries by Husqvarna. Exhibition is well planned and interesting. From my perspective it was surprising how many different pistols, rifles and guns were created by Husqvarna in the past. Other things are bikes - well done!

You can buy tickets at the place, no need to book it before the visit. If You want to discover the history of the Husqvarna company plan atleast 2 hours for visiting this place. It's easy to just walk and take a look, but it's much better to read about all these products, especialy if you know this company obly from garden and forest products. I really didn't know that company released so many bicycles and motocykles. Unfortunately it was not so common in Eastern part of the Europe where that products were no saled. Mosquets, rifles, pistols, sewing machines, ceramic and gas cookers, mikado wood stoves and more... I am not uploading to many photos, beacuse you need to see it on your eyes!

Really interesting place for a stop in our road trip. We own a Husqvarna bike and were intrigued by the history of the manufacturer. Another reason for the Swedish to be proud of themselves.
