The
front
desk
and
bell
staff
here
are
very
friendly
and
accommodating
and
do
their
best
with
a
hotel
that,
unfortunately,
has
some
major
issues,
in
terms
of
comfort.
My
room
had
one,
very
small
window
that
opened
up
to
the
walkway
and
courtyard
below,
meaning
I
had
to
choose
between
fresh
air/natural
light
and
privacy.
I
opted
for
the
latter.
The
first
night
was
very
uncomfortable,
due
to
the
heat
and
humidity
in
the
room,
as
this
hotel
has
not
spent
the
money
to
upgrade
to
a
modern
climate
system,
despite
its
high
prices.
Therefore,
you
may
not
have
access
to
heat
or
air
conditioning,
depending
on
the
central
mode
that
has
been
set
by
the
hotel.
In
my
case,
I
was
lucky
that
the
staff
understood
my
displeasure
with
the
climate
and
turned
on
the
a/c,
making
the
room
far
more
comfortable
(despite
the
lack
of
natural
light).
The
room
itself
was
showing
quite
a
bit
of
wear
and
tear,
with
scuffs
and
dents
on
the
walls
and
floor
and
some
stains
and
signs
of
overuse
on
the
leather
seat
and
makeup
seat
in
the
bathroom.
There
was
a
significant
amount
of
limescale
on
the
toilet
flusher.
This,
again,
points
to
a
reluctance
by
ownership
to
spend
the
money
on
the
upkeep
of
the
hotel,
despite
high
the
prices
they
charge.
The
courtyard
is
quite
pretty,
but
there
was
a
large
reception
on
one
of
the
days
I
stayed,
which
was
very
loud
and
produced
a
lot
of
cigarette
smoke,
which
I
could
smell
in
my
room.
All
that
said,
I
gave
it
three
stars,
due
to
the
excellent
staff
and
location.
