The staff is wonderful, generous, smiling, available & helpful. The owner gives his contact telephone to the hotel guests so you may contact him directly. We did, it works. Attitude is the fundamental and here it is excellent quality. The cuisine is creative, delicious and generous. The rooms are very comfortable. The wine made at the Masseria is very good. A tip: Sundays are fully booked for groups - it is recommended to find an alternative place to eat.

We spent 5 days with my family this week and it was a fantastic moment. We were looking for relaxing and friendly vibe and that is exactly what we got. I was born not too far away but I had never explored the area too well, and I had never heard of Lama San Giorgio until recently from friends who had been here. We live in LA and have traveled the world, and it makes me proud to say that the level of courtesy and friendliness of the staff was outstanding. We had a room in the new(er) section of the Agriturismo, facing the gorgeous olive lined garden by the pool; the room was big enough for 4 of us (2 kids), very clean and well equipped. Breakfast has plenty of sweet and savory options, and you can order coffee/cappuccino etc from the kitchen. We only had dinner there once, and it was inspired to local traditions, the food was good and the price fair (24euro pp) for the food served. The bar by the pool also has some nice food options for a casual snack or lunch and we enjoyed the pool, even though the weather was scorching hot, we found solace in the pool and in the AC equipped room. We also saw some of the rooms in the main building, they were nice too and had a nice rustic local charm. As a local, the stay here was a wonderful throwback to a and I highly recommend it for travelers who want to explore Puglia and Valle D'Itria.

A charming place surrounded by vineyards and orchards. The rooms are cozy and clean, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is welcoming. We spent three wonderful days at the villa and will definitely return for one of our next vacations.

Overall, a property with a lot of potential, if it weren't for the out of date rooms, the broken shower, leaking toilet, questionable service, breakfast that seemed like it had been made 2 weeks prior, dangerous plug sockets, greening pool, collapsing deck chairs and no pool towels... for a hotel with a pool?!

Unfortunately it's a 2 star hotel with food that every Italien would cry.. We were trapped in this situation because we paid upfront for the room and the dinner ( in the end I didnt eat it), otherwise we would have left. The personnel is really nice, but the management should change their prices and the entire experience is not an agriturismo at all - they are using this name to get clients...

Beautiful place with a wonderful pool. Simple but nice rooms. Best of all was the dinner. Great food! Fantastic bread and Focaccia, which was not a dish, nevertheless really tasty. Great pasta!

The place is beautifully located and tastefully decorated. In September it’s calm and quiet what allows to have a peaceful stay. We had a really lovely stay. However overall rate is far from perfect. First of all - dinner - you can only have so called ‘tasting menu’ which is different every day and is supposed to be a delicious journey into apulian flavors…only it’s not. The dishes were either too salty of flavorless, on top of that the amount of food was far too large and most of the guests were struggling with the “primo”. Breakfasts are typically Italian (nothing to complain about here) but coffee they serving is really of poor quality, not to mention juices which are just colored, sweet waters. Bartender at the pool bar seemed to be either drunk all day or just acting rude what did not create a pleasant atmosphere. At the masseria they have animals - birds and goats kept in clean cages, clearly well kept and happy, but few steps away from this happy picture you can meet a little frustrated barking dog kept on a few meters long chain all day long, what is truly heartbreaking. Generally the place is nice but it’s not easy not to notice those disturbing details…

Stunning and simply amazing! The building is located literally inbetween fields of grapes, which I assume they use to produce their own wine (which is very tasty). The area is very mellow and rustical and creates an idyllic italian summer atmosphere. The pool area is clean and since there are not too many rooms, it is not crowded. A highlight is the food, lots of home made products and plenty gluten free options. You can book a 4 course dinner which is changing every day and they can make it all gluten free as well. There is no menu ala cart, but to be honest, the dishes they serve are very good! The service is lovely, our flight was cancelled and we arrived 1 day later. In return we got a voucher to use during our stay for the amount of that 1 lost night. Very toughtful! Everything was perfect!

We had the BEST time at this agriturismo. Beautiful, romantic surroundings, great food, very clean and comfortable room, and the people are sooooo friendly! If there’s anything you’d like all you need to do is ask, we felt very safe and relaxed here. We are definitely coming back. Thanks to everyone working here, you’ve made our stay AMAZING. Donato, Maurizio, Anton, Olivia, Gregorio, Nicola…. everyone: thank you!

Nice, comfortable base for seeing Puglia. Skip the dinner. Found the rooms (by the pool) great, modern, clean, and spacious. Pool is also modern and classically designed, a good size and well maintained. The house is beautiful. The immediate area around the house is also very pretty. The wider area is, as other reviewers have noted, not exactly Tuscany, but it's just industrial wine and pasta manufacturing, not heavy industry. Rutigliano is a pretty little town and the hotel is perfect location for travelling around Puglia. Staff were nice. Breakfast is good. Dinner not good.

I stayed at Massaria 4 times from December last year until July when travelling for business. The restaurant is excellent, but everything else is below any acceptable level. If you are staying in Massaria house you will hear barking dogs, screaming cats or some construction works starting at 6-7 am in the morning. Bring your best earplugs with you. If you stay in the newer building by the pool, you will hear your neighbours unless you get lucky and no one is there. My final stay was a nightmare. Massaria management decided to put a male and female peacock in the cage in front of the building. Male Peacock keeps screaming non-stop during mating season, night and day. So you could start losing your mind after a few sleepless nights. I raised it with the front desk, but no one cared or did anything. I felt sorry for the next guests arriving as they wont get any sleep. Whoever thought of this great idea should be fired. Also, In July I was overcharged 15 EUR for deserts which were included in half board in May (the same menu). On 2 previous stays they tried to add wine to my final bill which i did not have. Therefore, check your bill and take pictures of what you are ordering. An older lady at front desk don’t speak any English at all and she will likely get everything wrong, if you ask her for specific things, like invoices or have questions. I have stayed in 2 different hotels in Bari since then and they were excellent. Therefore, I would recommend avoiding this guest house at any cost. Due to their poor service and don’t care attitude from the owner who only cares about your money.

👍 The environment is very pleasant. The internal room, with arched structure, maintains its original style, embellished with colored chairs. Good food, courteous staff. I will go back in the evening to dine in the outdoor garden.
