While Amritsar is often associated with its Sikh residents, it's also home to Muslims, many of whom practice their religion at Khairuddin Mosque. Built by Muhammad Khairuddin roughly 150 years ago, this mosque is an impressive example of Islamic architecture. The stately green-and-white structure features three domes and four minarets, along with intricate artwork on its walls. More than just a beautiful sight, Khairuddin Mosque is also an important historical attraction for its role in India's struggle for freedom. This is where Tootie-e-Hind, Shah Attaullah Bukhari, urged the Indian people to fight back against the British colonizers. Address: Katra Sher Singh, Katra Ahluwalia, Amritsar

Masjid Khairuddin is at Hall Bazar. It is famously known as Jama Masjid, is a beautiful Mosque built by Muhammad Khairuddin in 1876 CE. It is one of the most admired religious centres for locals as well as tourists. It is renowned for its beautiful architectural design. Holds a great importance in India's freedom struggle.

Beautiful Khairuddin Mosque in Amritsar, Punjab, was built in 1876 by Muhammad Khairuddin. The mosque holds great importance in India’s freedom struggle. It was from this mosque that Tootie-e-Hind, Shah Attaullah Bukhari, called upon the people to wage war against the British rulers. Apart from the historical and religious importance that the mosque holds, the architecture of the mosque is a spectacle to behold. Beautiful place, beautiful people, mashaAllah.

Really nice masjid with a traditional islamic design and architecture, located just 1.5 kms away form Amritsar railway station. I stayed here for a half day, masjid has some plants and neem tree on the compound creating a really peaceful ambiance in midst of chaotic city, here people giving more importance for greenery as the way prophet taught us. Students stay in this masjid for studying quran and islamic studies, also they take care of the masjid compund by cleaning and maintaining the building.
