Very unique dinner style restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast with my buddy. . I ordered the peanut butter banana french toast. When it came out i was originally disappointed, as I thought it had some sweet carmel syrup on it, but once i tried it, I realized it wasnt and it was damn DELICIOUS. LOVED IT!

I have been coming here for years. My dad was a resident in the Garden Care center across the street and I would frequently wheel him over in his wheelchair for lunch. Today we stopped in for a late breakfast with mom. I enjoy coming here because eating here is like living in a Twilight Zone episode. Nothing changes. The menu, the staff, everything is the same. The menu here is more like a diner menu. I like it because there is something for everyone. I would usually get a corned beef sandwich for lunch while dad would eat lasagna or a Reuben. Today we had eggs for breakfast. Nothing spectacular just standard fare. Perfect for my taste. The service is a bit slow and the staff not overly attentive (have you seen my server) but that is part of the charm of this place and why I will keep coming back. I will always have fond memories of my lunches with dad at the Alpine

This was my great uncle and aunts favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. As a child they would take me here from time to time. I remember their Greek food was decent then . Now , 30 years later, moved backed to the old hood and I'm randomly looking for the illusive tasty Greek gyro in this area. I've tried many of the gyros from the Greek and also Turkish restaurants 5 miles around the franklin square area. I find it strange that all the gyro restaurants including Alpine put the white sauce on the gyro where many places on Long Island have it on the side . Either way I found the Greek salad was great, probably the best in the general area and definitely as good as Greek restaurants on the north shore of Long island . The Gyro was beef and the pita, tomato and onion and the meat were prepared very nicely and super tasty. On both occasions I ordered on doordash. In each order they prepared all the items I ordered with a lot of attention . I'm definitely going go eat in one of these days . Thank You Alpine for keeping up after all these years !

Unconventional layout which doesn't allow you to find your server or them to find you which creates a poor service environment. Food is average and servers have a rough edge to themselves. Based on current inflation prices going out and spending money for food and service makes average ratings drop to poor ratings.

Really good Greek, Italian, and Diner-food place. The stuffed cabbage leaves are a favorite in my house, and the lasagna is *chef's-kiss*.

My group went on a Monday evening to the Alpine. It was very quiet, and the weather was bad, so the restaurant was not crowded. Our waitress was wonderful! The service was very good. I had the Alpine burger, which was recommended by our waitress and was very tasty. The French fries were the best I have ever had! Everyone in our group liked their food.

A "Classic" Greek diner offering a great selection and variety of good food at an affordable price. Booths, tables, and counter service. Standard diner fare, cooked to perfection. We were seated right away to a clean table with all the proper utensils and glasses. Very attentive wait staff. Our orders came out perfectly in a respectable time, giving us time to chat and enjoy a drink. Parking could be a chore, so plan ahead and maybe drop off your guests at the door while you find a spot. Cash or card. Handicapped accessible front door. Owner usually on premise. A+

I have been here a few times for brunch and lunch. Brunch, I always have the wonderful, delicious pancakes. Lunch is always good also. The friends I am with also enjoy. Service is friendly and efficient.

We only had breakfast. It was good, perfect comfort food after a long night. The service was amazing! I have a feeling that lunch items are pretty great so we would definitely go back to try more!

Second time trying this place. Food was great. Service was good. I had the veggie platter. They scaled down the menu (only dinner menu now) since the last time I was there but it’s understandable given the time we’re in. I love that they give the spread sampler.

The atmosphere is friendly and clean. The service was good. Our food came out quickly and was a good value. Tasty and reasonably priced. I will add this to my local rotation of places to meet people for lunch.

I HAVE ORDERED FROM THIS CAFE A COUPLE OF TIMES, THE STAFF AND OWNER ARE AMAZING AND PLEASANT, I LOVE THE FACT THEY ALSO HAVE A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT PASTRIES WHICH I OFTEN BUY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAFE TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A COMFORT BREASKFAST AND A PLACE TO DINE IN. THE ATMOSPHERE IN THIS PLACE IS ALSO RELAXING..
