LIRR Station that's clean, but seems a bit crappy for a Terminal station.

I find this station clean, trains on time and the area pretty bright at night. The ticket booth needs to be checked because on 1/15/2017 @ 9:30pm it was not dispensing tickets. The conductors are generally nice and always professional and that's a plus for the LIRR.

I’d rather take this train to Penn Station or Atlantic Terminal (especially peak for school days) over than taking the nasty and unsafe subway. However, this station needs a big overhaul or renovation and a waiting room like the other stations. The platform should be replaced, have a charging station, new benches, digital boards with Ad’s and real time information indicating the statuses of the other trains and branches, and have the MTA security system button to press if there’s any emergencies. The parking lot should be fixed and cleaned up and maintained a long with the liter around the station. I feel like more people need to take this train and not overcrowd the A train. Therefore, the Long Island Railroad would take notice of ridership and can fix up the station to look superb! :)

The good: Free parking. Can sit on train before it departs, since it is the end of the line. The bad: Sometimes gang-related shootings happen here, since the neighborhood is terrible. The crooked cops from the NYPD's 101st Precinct only make the crime situation worse.

Well, I don't know when they demolished the old building (station)? If no train happens to be at the platform, it's easy to walk on by. They are building something next to where the old building stood. Maybe that will be the new station?

It's alright, but could use some more inclement weather protections. Platform canopy could be extended a bit

I was supposed to get off at Inwood so I took it back to Inwood. Not exactly safe around there when you have to walk.

When I lived in Far Rockaway on Central Ave and I worked overnight, I would walk to the Inwood Station to get the train. I made sure that I didn't have to wait long for the train. I was a subway conductor and on Sat. Sun. and Mon., I worked the Round Robin. Euclid Ave. Rock. Pk. Far Rock and back to Euclid.
