As a child I spent Summers in the area for years and recently returned after nearly a decade - with friends and family. This time we changed it up and stayed at Quinta da Terrincha (as not to burden my grandparents nearby) - to say we were blown away by the service, hospitality and stunning beauty of the grounds is an understatement. Carlos took impeccable care of us from start to finish. We wished he could’ve joined us for dinner but he was a true professional. The entire staff was such a delight. But then there are the grounds - stunning beauty and vistas. It’s breathtaking. The Quinta did an excellent job capturing the beauty of the landscape at every turn. Next, the Villa… we were greeted with a welcome gift so charmingly presented to us. We’ll keep that a secret! But what needs to take center stage is the absolute level of luxury and comfortable. It couldn’t have been more perfect. Such a beautiful juxtaposition against a rustic landscape. I cannot wait to return - in fact I wish I found this place sooner! Thank you Carlos and team! OH WAIT - the food may have stolen the show. Just like the way grandma makes it except elevated and well presented with excellent wine pairing suggestions. Our dinner party one evening our best dinner in Portugal. I love this place!

my friends and i stayed at the quinta for a couple of days and it was an unforgettable experience! the grounds and the views are stunning and the quinta we were in was gorgeous. we had incredible meals throughout our stay, all of the food was phenomenal and tasted like home cooked deliciousness. the service was top notch. carlos especially stands out, he was accommodating, generous, and friendly. we tried all of the wine from the quintas vineyard and it was some of the best wine we'd ever tasted. we visited in the fall and plan to come next summer to take advantage of the pool.

This place was absolutely incredible. My husband and I spent our anniversary there and we loved every single moment. From the spectacular location, views, gardens, pool area to the comfort of our independent studio apartment. Both indoor and outdoor areas were so clean and well taken care of. The staff was impeccable - super nice, professional, warm and welcoming. The food and wine were excellent - breakfast was varied and offered local produce (cheese, jams, home baked cakes) - we booked a wine tasting which was fantastic - really excellent wines accompanied by great and abundant snacks and Dona Emilia was such a pleasant company. We ended up buying quite a lot of their produce as we were impressed by the quality of the extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, the different wines and jams. Quinta da Terrincha also runs a typical Portuguese restaurant were we had the dinner on our first day. We had bacalhau a pescadora and it was delicious - one portion was enough for 2. Ricardo was really kind and attentive to us, the price was more than reasonable. All this was experienced on the first weekend after the post-covid reopening. The staff was very well trained on the health and safety dispositions, everything was very clean and hand sanitiser was available in all common areas (and staff would remind guests to use it every time they were entering a common area). We felt very safe and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Way to expensive. And the quality of food and drink is poor. The place is falling into disrepair.

We are from Canada and stayed at this lovely Quinta for two nights in September. We wanted to recognize the excellent customer service from both Catarina and Ricardo at guest and event services. Their attentiveness to details and courtesy made our stay memorable in the Douro Valley.

Excellent location, it allows residents to take nice walks with beautiful sights within the property, there's goo taste everywhere. The big negative point was that during our stay there's was a group of people playing football next and inside the pool and cursing all the time, and the employees of the establishment were very complacent with those behaviours.

Nice getaway in a beautiful part of Portugal, swimming in rivers close by. The smallest apts are not as nice as the bigger ones.

Very nice place with pleasant rooms and swimming pool. Other than that there is not much to do.
