At a distance of 1 km from Saputara Bus Station, Saputara Tribal Museum. Established in 1970, this museum was built in order to portray the life history and the methods used by the Dang tribe in particular, but it also represents the culture of Bhils, Kunbis, Gamits, and Warlis amongst other tribal communities of the region. This unique museum has gained importance due to the large number of interesting artefacts and handicrafts put on display here.

A tribal museum located near circular junction in Saputara and is a must visit. The interior is simple, but a little bit dusty. It houses tribal artifacts, paintings etc. The entry fee is a small fee and an additional fee for photography. One can visit a small aquarium and grab a bite at the eateries nearby. However, it needs to be maintained.

The Saputara Museum, located in the picturesque hill station of Saputara in Gujarat, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the art, culture, and history of the region. The museum provides visitors with a unique opportunity to explore the rich heritage of the Dang tribal community that inhabits the region. The museum houses a diverse collection of artifacts, including traditional clothing, musical instruments, jewelry, and tools used by the Dang tribe. Visitors can also learn about the history of the region, including the struggle for independence from British rule, through a fascinating display of photographs and documents. The museum is well-maintained, and the exhibits are well-organized, making it easy for visitors to navigate and explore at their own pace. The knowledgeable staff is always on hand to answer questions and provide insights into the exhibits, making the visit a highly educational and enriching experience. One of the highlights of the museum is the impressive display of the Warli art, a traditional art form of the Warli tribe in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The museum's collection of Warli paintings showcases the tribe's unique artistic style, depicting their daily life, festivals, and rituals. Overall, the Saputara Museum is an excellent destination for anyone interested in the rich culture and heritage of the Dang tribe and the region of Saputara. With its well-maintained exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and unique collection of artifacts and art, the museum offers a truly enriching and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.

One of the most common place to visit on your tour to Saputara. It has some local history specimen and information. Its not big museum, can be easily covered in 25-30 mins.

I visited the museum today in 2023, hoping for a great historical experience, but I was disappointed. The museum's maintenance was poor, with water leaks and damaged tiles. Honestly, there wasn't anything captivating that you couldn't already find in books. I'd recommend considering other attractions instead.

A small and quiet museum as many people dont seem to visit this place. The building is quite old and desperately needs maintenance. The exhibits showcase life of tribal people in Dang region and their daily utility tools. It also has a general anthropology section which seemed random and out of place. For Indian citizens, entry fees is β‚Ή5 per person and for foreign tourists its β‚Ή50 per person. One can visit this place for a break from the other typical touristy activities and crowd of Saputara.

Pretty basic with nothing much about their history. The artifacts are also the evolved ones. In other words the history dates back to some 30-40 years back only

Saputara Museum, a small museum located at the heart of the cit near the main market in Saputara city, displays the various lifestyles and culture of the tribal populace. Museum provides spectacular exhibition of variety of clothes, utensils, traditional artifacts, lifestyles, house objects, musical instruments, ornaments, and many such objects which are used by the native tribal Dangis.

Very good museum. Nice and well maintained. Entry fee is just Rs. 5. You get a chance to explore the life of Dang people. Their clothing, utensils, bags, musical instruments and so on. The museum and huge and requires sufficient time to visit. Also, photography and videos are not allowed. However, a lot of educational and informative stuff can be found here regarding the local tribal community. Not an extraordinary place compared to huge city museums but a must visit from an educational perspective.
