    Clean facility. Helpful staff. Delicious breakfast! Room and bed (tho a little too firm for my liking) and bedding was clean but room itself smelled like dog urine and my UV light shows where the spots are. I so applaud a pet friendly hotel I'm not going to ding them for previous guests. But i do recommend a good carpet shampoo be done to get the urine smell out. As i said hotel and room was Great other than bad mannered previous guests!

    I stayed at this hotel for 1 night I was really impress with staff. There was this young lady behind the counter name Kalista who was very helpful and nice. She checked us in very fast. I got to my room it was clean and the beds were super comfortable. The television in my room was big reminds me of my television at home. later on that night I went to go and take a shower the water was nice and hot just like I like it. the hallways were nice quiet I was able to get some good sleep. The next morning I went downstairs to have some breakfast which was delicious and the eating area was clean. Another reason why I chose this hotel is because of it's location it's located right next to my event location so I was able to be on time. I really like this hotel I would stay here again the next time I'm in Van Horn Texas.

    I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and their consistency is to be applauded. The rooms are always clean and fresh; the staff friendly yet professional and the breakfast offers a plethora of items including fresh fruits/gluten free options and a separate coffee area with 2 keurig machines. It's always well tended. Kudos.

    A bit on the pricey side. Stayed here for a night, definitely wish i could've stayed longer. The rooms were super clean, smelt amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. Felt very safe in our room, also had a good view of parking lot which was well lit. My only grievances were no freezer in the mini-fridge and if you don't position the showerhead right you flood the bathroom floor :( but other than that the pressure was amazing.

    Sylvia ROCKED OUT an excellent breakfast! It was the best breakfast buffet I've ever had for the variety the freshness, and the most perfectly cooked bacon of all time. Front desk help at check in was great,very friendly and helpful. The room was impeccable. I'm surprised,myself, at how much praise I have for a chain hotel in a little Texas town but it was aces.

    Horrible service. Probably the worst I have ever received staying at a hotel. The GM told my husband that we were able to park our vehicle and trailer in the front parking lot by our room so we could keep an eye on it. This was at 2:30pm. At a little after 8pm, we get a call from the front desk asking to move our vehicle because people had complained. Mind you we have a 5 month old and a 2 yo that got woken up by this phone call. Kindly, I agreed to move our vehicle but expressed my disappointment that we were told we could park there and that calling our room woke our young children up. After moving my vehicle, I saw there was PLENTY of other parking available. Came back to our room and took 1.5 hours to get our children back to bed. This morning I came out to move our vehicle so we could load it with our stuff to find a uhual truck towing a vehicle behind it taking up more parking spaces than we were the night before. When I called to speak to the GM later that morning about our experience she was rude and couldn’t even take ownership for the mistake since she was the one that told us we could park there. She kept interrupting me and when I asked her to stop interrupting me she got frustrated and hung up on me. A formal complaint was made to HQ. Otherwise, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. Just wish we would have gotten more sleep. We were suppose to leave at 3am but ended up leaving later since our kids didn’t get much sleep the night before. I don’t know how that GM is in hospitality…

    Clean hotel, very well maintained. Staff was all very friendly and cordial. No issues at all with our stay. Breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express but tasty nonetheless. Would stay here again if passing back through. A few restaurants nearby but not really walking distance.

    We made a reservation online for the last room with a king size bed, but when we arrived, the hotel did not have a record of it. Allen, the hotel clerk worked hard to resolve the issue calling IT and customer service who had the confirmation number in their system. Since the app would not let me cancel it per Allen’s suggestion, he said he would continue to try and cancel it and set up a new reservation at a slightly lower price ($7.00). Allen also checked the confirmation number and that it was the correct address for the motel on my confirmation email. He assured us that the new reservation was for a king size bed. When we discovered it was a room with two double size beds, Allen quickly made the change. As always, in comparison to another major similar type of chain hotels in Van Horn, Holiday Inn in Van Horn shines above the others. Except for the strong chemical smell in the elevator, the room was clean and stocked with all the expected amenities. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast — What a wonderful, friendly, and accommodating staff. Food was restocked quickly including bananas which I don’t usually see. The bacon was low but replenished quickly as well as the hot water that ran out. We were there about an hour before breakfast ended. For many motels, what’s left is what there is if one eats at a later time. I was pleasantly surprised. Up to the point of departure, I was pleased with the service. Even the absence of our confirmation number at the local hotel in their system didn’t bother me because we all know technology issues happen and Allen put forth the effort to resolve the issue. However, it appears the manager was at the front desk this morning when we checked out. His attitude was less than desirable insisting that he had tried to find the confirmation too and couldn’t find it. He brought it up, not us, as we felt Allen had taken care of it. However, the manager stated we would be charged a no show since we obviously did not make the reservation at the Van Horn motel but made it somewhere else. I stated that I showed the email confirmation to Allen and confirmed that this was the correct hotel address. Allen had said it was. Nevertheless, the manager still insisted we had made the reservation at the wrong hotel and would be charged. Since he seemed to want to argue that he was right, I cut off the conversation by telling him we would call customer service if that happened and walked out. Holiday Inn Express in Van Horn is a great place to stay for the room comfort, extensive breakfast, and awesome employees such as Allen at the front desk to the worker who offered to fill my ice on the first floor to the breakfast ladies. The only negatives were the strong chemical smell in the elevator (and on the third floor) and the negative interaction with the manager who needs to work on his listening skills and his perception that he is always right.

    Service , rooms, breakfast, check in. All were great. I choose this one for the hot tub listed. We were told after checking in it's been broken for awhile. 🤫. I should have e asked before paying. My fault there. Other than that Holiday Inn nailed it.

    We love the consistency of Holiday Inn Express. We have stayed at several throughout the country and only one that we felt it could have been better. This one is not it. We arrived and had quick check in, and our room ready and was clean. This is a small town and there are many cheaper hotels in town but as we drove by each of them we were glad we chose to spend the extra for the superior product. Got up in the morning and had a great breakfast before getting back on the road.

    Check in was quick and easy. Front desk was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and fresh, not musty smelling. I parked in the back and it was well lit. I felt safe. There was road construction around so getting to a place to eat was a bit of a challenge but wasn't hard. Btw... do NOT get a quick bite at McDonald's next to the hotel. It's disgusting 😬

    Overall our hotel stay was a nice experience. Staff were helpful and nice, even with our late check in. The room itself was clean and well lit, the beds comfortable, and promised amenities were present. The hotel is easily accessed from I-10, though the only things around are other hotels. Since we only were stopping for the night on a trip, not an issue. A free continental breakfast was available. Basics such as eggs, bacon, pancake, cereal, etc. From a drink standpoint, I would have liked to see a non-dairy milk option for drinking/using for tea or coffee. But they did have a sugar free syrup option which was appreciated. The one place the room fell a little short was the bathroom. It was clean, but also was a little more worn than expected. The tile floor was loose in some spots, the towel bar had a hole patched with tape, and the towels themselves were somewhat small and rough. Nothing major but a little disappointing to see. For those wanting to have in-room television entertainment, the televisions are a little older with a basic controller and minimal channels. There are no options for using apps such as Netflix.

    Right off hwy 10, so easy access. Hotel is extremely well maintained. Staff is great! Rooms are clean and roomy. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Clean facility. Nice staff. Good warm breakfast. Parking was chaotic. Lots of vehicles with trailers taking up 3-5 spots parked every which way. There is a dirt lot behind the property for longer vehicles and tows… few took the option despite it was well lit. Perhaps removing the 5’ rickety wall would help guests see their vehicles and feel more assured. Evidently, this is a good place to stop overnight. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room not facing I-10.

    Online reservation system easy to use. Reception was very pleasant. Did not have the noise experience others did but if you book a hotel on a service drive, have realistic expectations. Hotel interior and rooms clean, the bed was comfortable but outside grounds a bit of a mess. Breakfast was pretty good. Main complaint is the exorbitant pet fee of $50.

    Beautiful place, extraordinary staff and management. Back in September I took a road trip from Florida to Arizona along I-10. I discovered this hotel in Van Horn travelling west. Thankfully it is easy to spot. I enjoyed my stay and continued west. Returning Eastbound on I-10 I chose to stay again. All 1st floor rooms were taken and the elevator was out of order . I chose to stay on the second floor. I wondered how I would manage carrying my things up the steps but the staff were extremely generous .Brian at front desk actually volunteered to carry things up for me. Maria in Housekeeping was very helpful in the morning. Special thanks to Brian at front desk, Maria in hskp. who was a tremendous assistance to me as I checked out in the morning and thank you to Pablo who ran on foot to McDonalds to bring me something I left behind. Also thanks to the manager, Martha as she really makes a guest feel welcomed.

    If it weren't for the noise, I would have given a 5 star review. Our room and the venue is incredibly nice and clean. The bed felt very comfortable - very clean sheets. The hotel is super dog-friendly; you pay a set fee and that's it since all rooms allow pets in them. But this place has ZERO noise insulation. You can hear everything from the corridor and everyone above you. It's a hotel so guests come in all times of the day so you would get woken up throughout the night by someone talking just a few doors down or when they close the door. They do have ear plugs on site if you're a light sleeper like me.

    Fairly new hotel so everything is really clean. Staff are all very nice and professional. Healthy American breakfast with eggs, pancakes, yogurt, coffee, teas, bacon, etc. Best Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed at.

    For the most important reason, the man wasn't listening at all. In fact whatever was more important than me getting a room. I still chose to stay a couple more nights.Told him 2 days,even had 2 fingers up telling him that I would be staying 2 days. So instead of him listening I end up paying for one, but then someone else told me that I only paid for a single night.

    Always very clean, from the lobby to the elevator, hallways and room. The room still looks new and was very comfortable. Had a bad experience at another IHG hotel and knew I would be in good hands for my last night on the road. Pretty room, stayed on non highway side, nice view, more quiet. Friendly & professional front desk staff.

    When we arrived to check in, we asked for a room away from the freeway, which was incredibly loud. The clerk was able to find us one, but on the 3rd floor, normally just fine, but THE ELEVATOR WAS OUT OF ORDER!!! Apparently it had been out of order for a week, but there was no mention of that when I made my reservation! The carpet in the hallways was stained and dirty-looking. The "hot" breakfast selection was marginal, with rubbery "omelettes" dubious-looking sausage, individually wrapped pieces of bread slices, old tasteless fruit, and so on. Fresh was not a word I'd use. On the good side, our room was spacious and the beds reasonably comfortable. But this hotel was far from the quality we expected.

    This hotel is fantastic. Clean parking lot, clean lobby, friendly people to greet you upon arrival. The elevator does not currently work, this was disclosed when I made my reservation, I fully understood what that could mean and accepted it. 9ur room was exceptional clean, inviting and very comfortable. I liked being able to close off the whole bathroom area with the barn door. I liked the suttle lighting above the closet early in the morning. Breakfast was quite satisfactory many options to get your morning moving. When our travels bring us back, we will look forward to another stay.

    Staff is professional, friendly, and masked. Covid protocols aren't just words here....they really try. Room was clean. Everything worked. Breakfast was easy with varied choices. 2nd stay here and I would arrange any more cross country travels to return.

    I stayed here for 1 night on 21 Dec 21 with my family. This place is a gem. Very clean facility, plenty of parking space. General Manager was very courteous. Employees were friendly. Room had 2 double beds and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really fresh and had plenty of variety. It has laundry room, gym, pool, business center. Hotel building is new and is right off the highway. There is a McDonalds in walking distance, like 20 steps from hotel. Check in and check out was really fast. Special mention to all employees, they were very courteous and asked me many times if i needed anything for me or the kids. I would recommend it

    The hotel was very clean, the room was large, comfortable and the service was great! Also, the breakfast was much better than we've had at other hotels. This hotel is pet friendly and we saw many cool dogs. We travel often through Van Horn and I will stay here from now on. Try it - you'll enjoy the experience.

    We travel through Van Horn regularly to check on my Mother in Phoenix and the Holiday Inn Express in Van Horn is always our number one choice for a good night’s sleep and great stay. The hotel is clean, the breakfast is better than most, the beds are comfortable and the staff is totally amazing. General Manager Martha Riley and her staff such as Kallista and Brian make everyone feel like a VIP. While there may be cheaper hotels in the area, none of them are better. TIP: it is always best to book a room in advance as this gem of a hotel regularly sells out!
