The person on phone was very nice in making reservations. They need to update the description of place online. It doesn't match what was posted, Started setting up, no cable, attacked by mosquitoes, bites everywhere. Not staying, very disappointed, canceled. Left!!

We stumbled on the Van Horn RV park on our way from PA to AZ. It was such a good stay we came back on the way home. For an overnight stay, you won't do better. Price is fair. Restaurant is good and inexpensive. I haven't run into an RV park before that had a corral for horses. We don't need that, but what a nice addition if you do. Laundry open 24 hours and clean. Store had the basics we needed to restock. I had a rough day with arthritis and they unlocked the hot tub for me after hours. Near enough the interstate to find easily, far enough away to be quiet.

Only stayed one night but I would definitely come back and stay longer. Looks like this could be a great spot to land for several days and take day trips. What staff we interacted with were very pleasant. Quiet at night. Loved the little cafe. Had breakfast there the morning we left -- very good. Saved me from cooking and cleaning up.

Sure has changed, no grass between lots or in tent camp area. Spaces were clean and level, as were the showers and bathrooms. Good place to stop for night. No cafe open from May till God knows. So eat before you get there. No food delivery available. Pool was empty, waiting on parts I guess. People where friendly. Windy all the time in Van Horn and Fort Stockton

We stayed her on our way to Arizona, it's off the highway just far enough, so that the noise doesn't bother you. They have a small pond with catch and release fishing. The owners are very nice, and they're in the process of opening a restaurant on-site. The prices are very fair. My only complaint would be that there was a ton of goats horn burs, so be careful walking your dogs. Otherwise a nice little rv park.

Got there late. Normally check in would be by by taking your envelope and the map and hoping you can find your spot. However the ever the owner came out and their golf cart and guide us to our spot. Which was very helpful since there are no lights in the RV park. Most spots are gravel and packed dirt most are level. Wi-Fi is very slow but luckily cellular T-mobile is solid.

It was fine for an overnight stop. The sites were a little closer than needed. In the middle of nowhere, you would think there could be enough space to easily turn out of your site, but we had to back out of our site since we were not able to make the turn going forward. Beware of the stickers. My dog did manage to get a few in his paws, but this is pretty common in TX. Might go back if we are passing through again.

We stayed one night on our way to San Antonio TX and then again on our way back. The staff is very cordial. Drive through spaces. The showers and the restrooms are clean. Very quite and serine.

You couldn’t even open up your RV door without thousands of mosquitoes swarming you. That is not normal. We couldn’t even go outside. Our families cabin was not cleaned or ready for them 2 hours after check-in. No mosquitoes when we left the campground I don’t understand what they are doing to attract so many you cannot actually camp. Would never stay again.

ANTS. We got put in a slot with a large, well-established anthill that did not appreciate our arrival. No one reachable after hours. Smallest pool I've ever seen, but it looked fairly clean... However, the pool is unlit (even though it's open until ten) so we didn't get to use it.

Great place to stay! Everything you need in one place- there is a cute little cafe on site- we had cheeseburgers for dinner and a good country breakfast- it was delicious and the service was great. Good clean bathrooms and showers. Easy check-in and set up. We’ll be back!

We have stayed there many times. They have large sites the only issue the connection on some sites is not always near the connection from the RV and you need extra long hose so before to level I suggest you inspect where the ground valve is located. I have stayed there with 3 different RV and have had issues with all of them. Some sites the connection is way in the back but the best spot to level is near the front. That being said the people are wonderful and move you to you get a better spot. I believe it was once a KOA so the layout conforms to KOA which is always a plus. The have a cafe' for a quick bite and it is plain but actually pretty good. Everyone there is super friendly. We are heading there in Jan for two nights.

Green grass at most of the sites. Nice sized fenced dog runs BUT full of stickers so unusable! Bathrooms basic but clean. I've stayed here several times - super disappointed that there's no place for dogs to potty off leash now.

I have stayed here a few times, the staff is great and the spots are nice. I like that they always spread out campers not just pile them together like most parks. Great place to stay!

My absolute favorite place to stay on our trips. The park is quiet, we enjoy walking around the pond and seeing the rabbits but best of all is Penny’s Cafe, amazing food after a long drive. The people here are some of the kindest on the planet. Can’t wait to plan my next trip.

Took a break from my camper one night and stayed in one of their extremely-reasonably priced tiny cabins. The cabins are just one room (no bathroom), but the beds were comfortable and they really had everything you'd need including fans and a mini-fridge. Was absolutely worth it. Hook up spots for camping and the pool were nice too, and staff had a good night check-in system going. Laundry was good too. Only regret was not being able to try the cafe! (stayed 1 night, fall 2021)

Very nice, clean well organized park in a great location off of I-10. Long level pull through sites. The horse corrals were clean and sturdily built with water available. Shower house on site. Would definitely stay here again!

This place was a great place for an overnight stop while we were traveling from CA to TX. The owner was amazing and went out of her way to help us when we were having some issues with our camper. Good little dog parks, open spacious areas, not cramped in on top of each other, backed away from the highway so you can get some quality sleep.

This is our 2nd time staying at Van Horn RV Park. We like the fact that it's pretty quiet here. When the park isn't busy, the staff spreads the campers out so we're not right next to each other. There is a small laundry room, clean restrooms with showers, a store in the office area, and a small cafe that serves breakfast and dinner. And it off the highway, so we don't have to hear trucks all night. They have full hook-ups and cable. The Wi-Fi is working well too.

We did one overnight stay on our way to Florida. We got there in the dark. Couldn't see much. My poor goat head stickers every step she took everywhere we went. It's a good value for just the one night stay.

Top Shelf RV Park I rented a cabin there when my suburban broke down on I 10. Got towed into The Van Horn and they sure were kind to me and my fur babies. We Love you an wont forget you. Appreciate you putting up with me but I have brain injury and can't recall being treated more kind. I loved the cabin and the food was great! We are thankful that the RV hospitality is alive and well at your beautiful park! Thanks for all the kindness you provided to me and my three service dogs! Ain't never will forget our wonderful stay and we love you.

Very nice staff offered us a coffee on arrival, there are a few sites that have a tree to offer some shade. Bathrooms are clean. Laundry room always open. Far enough from the highway not to hear the traffic, they even have a corral for your horses!

Not a bad place to stop for the night or few days to get caught up on laundry. Not bad prices. Bathrooms are kept very clean and I so appreciate that! It is winter here so down in the 20’s for lows and has been windy. Pool, restaurant, and propane are not available right now so was bummed about the cafe. Supposedly under renovation. Looks like an old KOA campground. People very friendly here.

This RV park was a great overnight stay, good price, we were there in the summer which is their off season so not many people around, good size pull through spaces. The only thing was the lady in the office didn’t seam like she was all that happy to be working there and the whole office smelled like cigarette smoke. There is a cafe onsite for breakfast and lunch but it is closed in the off season!

We stayed here about 5 years ago and we remembered it to be nice, so we stayed here again last night. Van Horn is in the middle of the desert, with El Paso being 1 1/2 hours away. Very desert. We travel with our kids and generally need a spot for a night. All we ask from an rv park is for easy in and easy out from freeway and for sites, pull throughs, clean bathrooms, laundry site just incase we need them, a clean park, decent level grounds, and pool or play ground for our kids are a plus. This RV park had it all. It has aged a little, and yes, some remodeling will be nice, but when that happens, the price will go up. The prices now are low compared to others. I would rather have a clean park with low prices than a resort with higher prices for just one night. Summer time is their slow time. I can only imagine their revenue during this time is hard. My kids enjoyed the pool, nice and clean. My dogs enjoyed their walk and came back sticker free. Although I did see some, you can tell they try to maintain their lots. The owner was very friendly and engaging. I have no issues staying here.

Quiet place to sleep for a night or two and plug in electric and dump your tanks. That's about it - café is not open, propane is empty, WiFi does not work, showers kind of work. Functional, but would be much better if they'd invest a little in upkeep and renovations. Not disappointed we stayed here for two nights, but knowing what we know now, would probably find another place next time. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and polite.

We travel with 2 horses & have found this spot a great place for layover. Wood &horse wire pens large enough for horses to be together & have room to stretch their legs. Full hook ups for RV's. There's also a tent area & rustic cabins. The restrooms are clean & air conditioned. There is a clean swim pool & the grounds also have a large pond which is pleasant on on walk.

Overnight stop. Needed to hookup and refresh. Place is serviceable but had seen better days. Office staff was friendly. All sites are pull through. Our site had a faulty sewer hookup, no threading in the drain pipe so had to improvise with a large bolder to secure fit. I'm sure they would have moved me, but didn't feel like moving at that point. If your driving across west Texas and need a place to hookup, this will do.

We stayed in A small cabin since so cold and couldn’t tent camp. Can’t beat it for 45 dollars. Service was super great. Cafe closed for remodeling, but we got a bottle of wine and sat on our front porch swing in the sunshine 😁

Stayed here with 42 foot motorhome and trailer. Great site off I10! Not fancy but great for big rigs! Friendly staff and dog park. It’s West Texas so don’t expect trees and grass it’s a desert. Enjoy the natural beauty. Loved the no pressure parking of big rig. Will stay here on the way back east.

We got in early and wound up doing night reservation because they were out to lunch. It worked out well. Lots of space until the later arrivals showed up. We even got to let our cats out to play.

Great spot for an overnight stay. We had a very long lot, no problem to park our dually, 42' 5th wheel, and my Subaru. Clean restrooms.

Nice, spacious rv park with easy off/on the freeway access and parking/set up. Friendly staff, reasonable rates and quiet on the night we were there. We will definately be back.

A perfect overnight spot! Clean restroom and shower area, a pool in the warmer months, and even a place for your horse. Wonderful little Cafe serving breakfast and dinner on-site as well.

We stayed here last night and found the park to be spacious, well-organized, and clean. Large campsites which are all pull-through. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the showers were spotless. The park is located conveniently south of I-10, but highway traffic sounds were not oppressive. They have a cafe on premises, but we didn’t visit it. We’d absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in the area.
