Extreme disappointment. Really bad quality of food. Beef was stenchful and tough as rubber. Had to spit out immediately. Vegetables were mixed with weird tasting sauce making me vomit. Burger looked okay, but the patty was so hard. It seemed like patties were all made earlier and you just re heat them? I asked for ‘medium’ for burger patty, but the waiter said they only do medium/well done and customers can’t choose. Also, bun was very hard too. I don’t think this is how you prepare for 17 pounds burger.

Come here as often as I can. Beautiful authentic pub that feels modern but keeps it's old skool appeal. The low doorways are unique and a challenge for those carrying their drinks .... Good luck. Also a large cellar area that looks amazing.

Great atmosphere, great staff and great food! I've just moved to the area and found this gem of a pub. I would highly recommend it. It impressed me and also my mates visiting me in my new place. We went to the pub for drinks and then a meal in the restaurant part and it was a top notch experience. The Service was friendly and professional and the food heavenly. Nice place to have a drink too.

Been here twice during our little holiday in London. Outstanding food. Waiter is just great. Busy and large pub. High ceilings in hammered metal. Wood throughout.

An excellent place. The Prince Alfred is welcoming, funny and a bit scary! Situated on, or just off Warrington Crescent, it is a great high ceilinged pub of perhaps the late Georgian era. However, don't be fooled by the high ceilings! They are there to fool you. Only leprechauns and Chihuahuas can navigate this pub without grazing their scalp! No less than four partitions with 4 foot high doors separate this pub into distinct areas. Well done and great fun. Come along and enjoy this special place!! Now I have seen the "Cellars" downstairs, looking like old prison cells but now with comfy seats and tables to put your drinks on. Just super...Also Oli from behind the bar wants to say hello and he invites you all for a drink (he's not paying).

Wonderful old pub with modern British food with very high quality. We loves the Scottish Egg, the scallops and the Sausages. I liked the updated version of British food, and the service was a 10. Will come back, as Jose, the chef always surprises you with a day recommendation

Slabs of tender Sunday roast beef perfected on a plate at a great venue- beautiful traditional pub. Chef takes pride in his work chasing down servers to get the food out quickly while it's hot.

Spent a lazy afternoon at this pub that began with one of the best Sunday roasts I've eaten. Everything on my plate was delicious and I'm certain to pop in again when I can. The coffee was also very good. I loved the warm and cozy ambience. The place wasn't noisy, which was wonderful, relaxing, and just great for a nice conversation. The two gentlemen who entertained us and made sure we had everthing we needed were the friendliest and warmest. I can't believe after years of living in the neighbourhood, we only popped in now!

This pub is a real gem, the private sections with their doors are just fantastic. They also had seating in the basement that looked like old prison cells. Food was great and the service good. Recommend their Fish and Chips

What I love about London is the plethora of quaint and quirky places to eat and drink and the Prince Alfred proves no exception. A short walk from London's Little Venice on the way to Maida Vale, I was greeted with a walm welcome from Olly. Just look at the bar, with its narrow openings to access the divided seating areas. You might need to go on a diet to squeeze through the narrow openings! Enjoy the atmosphere and enjoy this idiosyncratic establishment. I'll be booking a table at the restaurant soon - really looking forward to it!

Our first visit to this part of London and we were lucky enough to chance on this delightful pub. I love my beer and the beers here were excellent. Special mention to Czeska who was very friendly and was a breath of fresh air. The food and service was excellent. I think it was Lewis looking after us. Really great atmosphere for a London pub.

Visited the Prince Alfred on Sunday as they just opened and was delighted to get a seat at the dining rooms. Pub is old and quirky, staff is friendly and attentive and food is really good

Wonderful roast, unfortunately ran out of the beef but the pork belly and chicken were delicious. The sticky toffee pudding and Apple and Fig crumble were delightful. Great service.

This is the place to enjoy good food and drinks. A local neighborhood pub and hang out for many. While visiting, we went back twice! The chef is a master at his craft.

Shout out to Louis, Thomas and Miguel thanks to whom we had attentive and friendly service and amazing food. This was our first time here, I researched nice pubs in the area to go with some friends from abroad, and we enjoyed one of the best roasts I had in London plus delicious starters and dessert. The venue itself has a classy pub vibe and it's not crammed, great light from the skylight, and a short walk from the canal. I do prefer my roasties and crackling crunchy, but that's just me! We're definitely going back.

Great old traditional pub near Little Venice and in a beautiful neighbourhood. Unlike any other pub I’ve come across is London, with wooden separators sectioning off areas of the pub, harkening back to days gone by. Food was excellent (had the fish and chips and sausages & mash), atmosphere was busy and overall a quality London pub experience!

I stumbled upon this pub in search of a great destination for a family reunion and feel so lucky to have done! The beautiful mahogany interior was just a small part of my amazing experience. The service was excellent with Lewis on food and czeska at the bar. So friendly and eager to serve us at the drop of a hat! My mother was also very impressed and lets just say that’s not easy ;) highly recommend !!!

Absolutely an amazing pub. Fantastic architecture and recently added to historic England's grade II* listed buildings. Wonderful little cubbies with beautiful glass work. Unfortunately they had no ales available early after a busy night. But had them running after 29 odd minutes. Definitely worth it visit

Nice pub! Like the vibe and decor and staff seem really pleasant. But, went for the Sunday roast and was disappointed I have to say. I had the vegetarian option, which was a beetroot wellington, that was very bland. Also, hardly no vegetables served, I.e. two carrots and some potatoes, which had a weird after taste. Yorkshire pudding was huge! But felt like that was believed to be enough to compensate for the lack of everything else. Yes it was a big meal, but just not tasty, and I was gutted after craving a good Sunday roast and only ate it as I was hungry. Also, overly expensive for what it was. I don't mind paying for good quality meals at all, but begrudgingly did so in this case.

Beer is fine, I don't know about the food, but for me it is all about the snugs, which as far as I'm aware are original. Should be full of tourist marvelling at how we used to drink, but it isn't. I always enjoy visiting, if not fitting through the little doors.

A lovely olde world pub with fantastic woodwork .. With privacy screens and low separation doors really brings back the olde days .. With a nice selection of real ales available

They have the most beautiful beer glases, and the kindest Barkeeper ever. He knows why I write this. What a great place with delicious Toasts to start a trip to London.

We had such a great evening here last night! The staff are friendly and efficient and the food was superb, kids had great burgers, meat was perfect and came in a nice brioche bun, the sausages were super and the John Dory excellent. One of the waiters was a magician and showed us some fantastic card tricks. Will come back here next time we are in the area. The Pub itself is traditional and beautiful. Best pub in the area.

Attended for lunch with a large group of colleagues. The food was excellent quality and service prompt and helpful but without being intrusive. Nice surroundings made for a comfy and pleasant lunch. Would definitely return.

So glad I can call this place local. Went there for dinner with my girlfriends and had an amazing time. I choosed my classic - Halloumi fries ❤ but girls got the proper dinner and we all left happy and satisfied. Btw: If you are lucky you can also see some magics 🎩 from the waiter 🤭 Thank you !

My partner and myself had such a great time at the Prince Alfred last Sunday for roast. The restaurant itself had such a great atmosphere and super cosy for a meal. The Victorian doors by the bar was a cute little touch as well! But most of all, we had received exceptional service from our waiter (we did not catch his name but he was the only one wearing a blazer). Although he was a stand out for us, the service throughout the team was great and cannot fault the team or the restaurant.
